I have this exact boot and I love them. There was no break-in period needed. They were a bit stiff when new but did not pinch. They are warm enough for Vermont winters if you are walking or working. If you are sitting for a long time the 600g thinsulate might not be enough. I don't sit in the cold so they are great. A+ on comfort.

Fantastic boot. Wore my last pair for 4 years. Not a whole lot between April-October but all Winter with high demand and 12+ hours a day 6-7 days a week.
Completely Water proof and very warm with good socks (worked in -40 Celsius (-40F))
Make sure to dry them every night and re-oil the leather every couple of months (when they start to look a little dry).
    Comfort 9.5/10
    Durability 9.5/10
Looks 10/10 (dark brown, full grain leather is my shiet)

Bought a pair of 1000g's for our Vermont cold. Happy thus far. One exception that was only briefly & quickly 'blown over' in your presentation. It should be noted more prominently that, if you have a work environment that is known to wear heavily on your treads, then you might expect to replace your entire boot just when the uppers are getting well-broken in and becoming comfortable. The reason? The soles on these boits are NOT replaceable. However, if as is the case for me, you don't intend to work in an environment that is particularly tough on sole bottoms and you are mostly concerned with warmth and light-weight comfort, these boots will do the job admirably!

Picked these up a few days ago. Unbelievably comfortable (equivalent to a slipper) and very warm. Walking through the snow is a breeze. I treated the leather with timberlands waxim leather protector and finished it off with their balmproofer protector so I’m hoping the waterproof features exceed my expectations.

Had these boots less than 6 months working here in Alaska and loved the comfort of these boots right out the box. I didn't get blisters or anything. There wasn't a break in period which was really nice! Just comfort from day one. The issue I had was after several months of wearing them, 12 hour a day, my feet would get really wet if it was raining or puddles on the ground. Made for a long day with wet feet. Not fun! I bought them cus they were suppose to be waterproof. Not water resistant! Lol. Well, so I was able to take them back to where I purchased them at and I got a brand new pair due to them not being waterproof anymore. It was a few days shy of being 6 months of buying them. Great return policy if you are not happy with them. I will be recommending these boots to all my coworkers due to the comfort of them. If they leak again I maybe changing my tune but I'm hoping for the best! Comfy boots are hard to find now days!

I also wear them in the summer and they are a bit hot buy not terrible.

Excellent boot I've worn these boots for the past four years now. I used to be a Die hard boot fan for many years, until I put on the Timberlan pro. My opinion best boot ever. I basically had no boot break in time. I'm on my feet 10-12 hours a day and I felt like I was wearing a Nike tennis shoe. Unbelievably comfortable. Thank you for making this boot.

I have the non-insulated 8" boon and I'll tell you, besides looking a little like deep sea diver boots, they are the bomb! I crouch a lot at work as a roofer and they have flexibility and durability. Water beads up on them, just make sure they dry at nite. So warm. Great boot.

These boots are extremely comfortable on the feet, it's like walking on pillows. Made well and true to size. Very warm boot, not good for summer and the toe area is very tall. If you work in a shop on equipment requiring you to step on a covered/enclosed pedal it is a problem, boot gets in the way.

I went to fleet farm specifically to buy another pair of thorogood boots..I’ve bought two pair of the same.. brown and black, My black are beatup and got soaked with some sewage... I decided,, to toss those and go get another pair of the thorogood because I know they fit me great and are very comfortable.... but these timberland pro boondocks were right next to them... and for shits and giggles I tried them on... and then tried the thorogood and back and forth a couple times.. and I tell you what....... those timberlands felt so soothing, and soft and perfect... never had a pair of boots felt that good on my feet... I think they are kinda ugly.... but damm who cares.. I’m a plumber... comfort is my main concern....

I've got the 200g version that says Vibram on the toe, and they threw the kitchen sink at my boots. I'm really wishing I could get them resoled. This will probably be their last winter. I've already burned into the missile a little. If I'm not buying a boot to rebuild, this is about the only winter boot option I want.

    • @ThomasSteed
      @ThomasSteed 2 года назад

@@joshtheflatearthjedi222 depends on where your work keeps the temperature. Some places run the A/C in the summer down in the 60's so I'd say the 200g wouldn't be too bad if your not in the 75-90's. Just kinda gauge it on that, and if you naturally have sweaty feet, you'll probably have sweaty feet. I sweat in mine doing snow removal, so, that's a thing you gotta gauge on your own factors. If your in and out is another thing to think about. They're fantastic boots for what they are.

Just bought a pair of these today in the 1000g comp toe flavor.. I have notoriously hot sweaty feet and I work in a hot facility but occasionally have to trudge through slush outside for hours on end.. didn’t want to buy a pair for summer unlined and a pair for winter, so I think a boot dryer is in my future.. I’ll update my thoughts after I have had a chance to get some time in them but if they stay as comfortable as my little boot store test drive, I think I can overlook the hotfoot side effect. :-)

No, this model is way too warm with the 600g of insulation. I have this pair of boots and anything above freezing is too warm for these bad boys. They do make a 400g model, and a non-insulated model as well but they come in different colors.

@@devonward3658 i just ordered a pair of 400 gram insulated. I work inside a lot of time and was hoping these would work well for both hot and cold conditions. Do you have any issues with them being too hot when not worn during winter months.

@@joshtheflatearthjedi222 Personally I don't wear the 400g ones inside, and they get most of their use in late fall and then spring up here in New England. I'd say weather anywhere in the 30-50F range is when I wear them. Colder than that I go up to the 600g ones for extended periods outdoors, and warmer than that I go to my 6" uninsulated Boondocks.

Anyone work on these on freshly Zambonied ice.
Ice rink ice not just ice on mud or road.
I have to work on the ice rinks and want to know what traction I'm getting...

    • @TheBootGuyreviews

The ice was smooth but not Zamboni smooth. It had that windblown ice feel. If that makes sense. They did perform better than my buddies sorels.
