Watching these is making me notice a bunch of English loan words I’d never been able to hear before. There seems to be lots more loan words in the pop-y informal type songs than the others, especially the songs where a modern idol (Ai, Sakura, Lily and in this case Maimai) is singing center which is a pretty cool detail on the songwriter’s part
I thought it was good that this song had a tone that Japanese jk would like, because it was sung by a teenage girl and the fact that she sang it in high school suited her very well.
Nice! but I think the original title means “(I’d like to) open my heart for you(, but…)!” if it’s helpful for someone, for references: ぶつ (buts-u/ 打つ: hit) + まく (mak-u/ 撒く: sprinkle; scatter; spread out) → ぶちまける (buch-i-mak-er-u 打ち撒ける: dump; confess everything; tell somebody something frankly; reveal everything; vent) → ぶっちゃける (but'ch'-ak-er-u/ more casual form)
If you might know it already though… 😳 And also うちあける (uch-i-ak-er-u/ 打ち明ける: confide; speak one’s mind; open one’s heart) turns into ぶっちゃける since the difference between うつ and ぶつ is just some nuances or accents
