    Norton Crystolon Fine - 45 microns

    Great video! The norton crystolon stone is a great stone for S30v, SiC does a great job on super steels with out the deep scratches of diamonds.

    I use a diamond plate with soapy water finished with translucent Arkansas stone. A leather strop gives it tunes the edge.

    Your black arkansas sounds really course. What grit did you finish it at?

    Amazing results. You made the comment that you can mess up using the coarse stone, by creating a burr. Does it matter, in the long run, since you are micro beveling? Would the burr not be cut off on the Black Ark? Thanks btw for the link shout out :)

      Yes the burr will be cut but to me is easier to check for light reflection than feel the burr. Often I the past I just minimized it but not remove it from the entire edge.
