Ruby Sunday and The Trickster's Theme? (It’s all about the music)

- Some very clever people have pointed out that the music that plays from within Ruby Sunday’s soul is eerily similar to that of The Trickster’s theme from The Sarah Jane Adventures. I saw someone point this out on Reddit and decided to find a clear version of the theme to compare to.
Who knows, maybe season one of Doctor Who is following up on RTD’s idea of the Trickster instilling their essence inside of Sky when she was created. It’s a story that has remarkable similarities to the mystery of Ruby’s origins.
With other references to The Pantheon and The Toymaker, it’s not too far to assume The Trickster themselves will get a mention at some point this season.

When a villain - when a *creature of literal music* - shits themselves at a hidden song, you KNOW something is bad.
I’d be so hyped for them to connect back to The Sarah Jane Adventures. Plus the Trickster was such a cool villain.
Guys it’s 99% sure it is the trickster.
1) RTD expressed interest in the Tricksters character back in lockdown also clamping if he was still part of doctor who the trickster would be the first long term villain he’d do and he’d be recycling a storyline he had planned many years ago.
2) in a few interviews mainly the tales of the tardis a few trickster related things are popping up which literally have no relevance what so ever.
3) This video. The song within Ruby is identical the song played with the trickster puzzle box.
4) RTD in 2010 write a story for the Sarah Jane Adventure in which a character called Sky would be left in the door step of Sarah Jane’s house. Sky would become an innocent child who loved Sarah Jane, but Sky was the daughter of the trickster, and when she’d find out she’d work against Sarah Jane to the point the trickster would have control of Sarah Jane’s technology like Mr smith bring chaos down.
The story we see now is very similar with Ruby. Ruby is left by cloaked figure like in SJA and every thing we have seen so far shows us that RTD is doing the same story that was intended with Sky.
5) Ruby is a pantheon it’s as clear as day on the snow alone. Only a Pantheon had such powers to do those things. I’m actually quite surprised the doctor hasn’t worked this out yet pretty obvious especially when the last two people he defeated were also Pantheons.
Every single thing. And I mean every single thing point back to the trickster and based on what RTD said he’d do first I think it’s 99% certain it’s the trickster.
Also, the pointing of a finger at the Doctor in the Space babies, it's something the Trickers did too!
Also…
It’s mentioned in The Giggle that UNIT is using Triad Technology. Which Triad Tech could be used to attack UNIT.
If you want to stretch it or go further back, is it just me or is it too coincidental how The Doctor and Donna get back together?
At ‘coincidentally’ the exact right time and place, an alien crash lands and, coincidentally, gets affiliated with Donna immediately. Sure you can say it’s just writing them back together and nothing special, but if Triad Technology is already established in The Giggle that means that the Trickster was already plotting out his plan at that time.
Who knows? Maybe The Trickster had the Meep secretly work for him to get The Doctor and Donna together.
3) onwards the tricksters theme is covering up Carol of the bells not the tricksters theme itself meaning ruby is associated with Christmas spirits than the trickster.

So the Trickster is coming to Doctor Who
The Trickster is The One Who Waits! The One Who Waits is Ruby’s biological mother. That hooded figure looks a bit like the Trickster. It all makes sense for the Toymaker to be afraid of the trickster since the trickster is a force to be reckoned with.
The Trickster may not return due to the fact they have to credit Gareth Roberts who is a transphobe

RTD wrote this story back 2010 it was to be used in SJA with the character Sky. Sadly due to her death it was never made but the writing remains.
The similarities are countless between what we’ve seen so far with Ruby character and what we’d have seen with Sky.
She will be innocent till she meets her farther the trickster only for her to then become just like him trick the doctor to the point the trickster then has the power of the tardis to unleash chaos on misery, and the hooded person will be Ruby putting her self in to play.
She is a pantheon I’m surprised the doctor has worked this out yet it’s pretty obvious in how she can make it snow alone only pantheon being is pantheon is capable of such things

The melodies are different, likely because of rights reasons, but I would assume that's the new Trickster theme.
Now that you mention, it would be interesting if the Trickster was "The Oldest One" and/or "He Who Waits", and it would make sense with the Trickster being an old enemy of the Doctor. And it would make sense for the Toymaker to be afraid of the Trickster who, himself, is a powerful supernatural entity.
Slightly different notes but it's probably just Murray Gold repeating motifs which is very common

I was already thinking the figure might be the Trickster or related to the Trickster in some way. After seeing, this I am confident they are connected now.
RTD is essentially doing the story intended for SJA which never got made.
If he is and I think it’s 99% certain it will be more than likely Ruby will become exactly like her farther the Trickster and the person who leaves Ruby on the door step will be herself putting the wheels in motion.

Think it may not be exactly what we believe it is on multiple levels across realities of music treads lead to intelligence who saw the Doctor's life throughout time. Remember The Snowflake and Snowmen the lines are drawing closer to the tune of those beating drums. Two different characters affect this story's outcome one is considerably a pathway to the other. Library and Moon and Great Intelligence and the child, and a Snowflake. Think Crystal's and Guardians and Great Intelligence are particularly involved.

I think we know it is the Trickster now. The only other thing it could be now is RTD having fun at fans expense which is also fun! 😄 The fact the Trickster left a child with SJS (sadly the final season not completed due to Liz's death) means either RTD wanted to complete that story in another way in DW or, he like many writers goes back to the same well over and over - which he does also do. The pointing in the this weeks episode by the hooded figure (I think we saw that before this series?) but that is also something the Trickster did in SJA.

So my belive now is the trickster is using Suthek for something mayby as a distraction
I think it could happen but I have my doubts, as if you know the person who created the Trickster you know he's done some pretty bad stuff. And if it includes paying him then they should just create a new character that does a similar thing that the Trickster does since his influence is what makes him scary, not the character himself, his design is scary though, if they do make a new character like a Sister or something I think that should be how the Trickster is represented in the future. I think it would be more likely to be the Meddling Monk if it is something important to time, maybe even Time itself as it did say in Flux it would eventually catch up to her, well in Power Of The Doctor it did but even then who's to say it doesn't do it again. It could also just be a new character, Russell has confirmed there is no villains returning this season. Although you never know. I do think however if the Toymaker is scared then it would have be a really big threat, possibly bigger than the Trickster. If you don't know the Toymaker has stated he turned God into a Jack-In-The-Box in the Giggle and in the Nightmare Fair Novel the Sixth Doctor acuses the Toymaker of setting up the Space Time Vortex only for him to reply that he is the Space Time Vortex. Also focusing more on classic lore, the Toymaker never used to only manipulate atoms (the Giggle is just a plot hole mess for the Toymaker since how does he create pocket universes if some of the key ingredients for universes require stuff that is almost certainly not made of atoms? The Giggle is a character ruining experience for me.) but instead manipulated Reality. Yeah. Really put's it into perspective. He is also a Guardian Of Time. And apparently he and the Doctor are from the same universe. We know the Toymaker used to be a creator so it is very likely he created the Doctor before becoming the game playing mastermind he is now. So yeah, put it like that and the Trickster, while possibly a threat to the Toymaker I doubt would be so powerful the Toymaker would be scared, especially since if he won anyway, his realm would be destroyed with the Trickster in it, it may not destroy him but would definitely be a big blow.
I don't know for sure, but I think it's just Terry Nation and Bob Baker that have those kind of deals. I think, for example writers can use Weeping Angels/Cpt Jack whenever they want to and Moffat doesn't get any residuals on the characters themselves. I can't find anything concrete though, but hopefully it means RTD can use a character he's been very vocal about having had plans for without Gitlord Rancid making any money. Tbh I can't even find a source saying he did create the character. It might well be that Russell did and the transphobe just happened to write the episodes that he appeared in. They'll be something delicious about this character that he's so connected with being in an episode with Yasmine Finney!

@@ipwilliams2000 That’s certainly where the focus is directed, yes, but it’s important to note how focal-misdirection works, especially in “show, don’t tell”, which has always been one of Russell’s strengths.
You could layer multiple clues and devious plot options, even if only one is meant to be obvious.
It’s actually quite clever when you think about it.

Just plain logic. The one who waits was described by Maestro as the most ancient of them, so a godlike entity enough powerful to scare "him/her" and the Toymaker.
The figure of Ruby's parent at Church of Ruby road wears a hooded dress similar to the Trickster.
The trickter having no face, what represent his absence of sexual identity match very well with values transmitted by the new series.
The trickster feed on pure chaos, contrary to Toymaker and Maestro who feed on a structured type of energy.
In greek mythology, and in fact simply in real world, "chaos" is the most primordial of primordial gods.
Maestro said the Oldest One couldn’t have been there the night of Ruby’s birth, perhaps the Oldest One is the Trickster and he used the song Ruby sings at first to cover Carol of the Bells and hide his presence which is why Maestro gets annoyed and then confused and scared.
The trickster has always been described as one of the pantheon, I don't think it really fits that’s he's also the one who waits. I do hope the trickster returns, even if it's just as Ruby's parent, but I hope the one who waits is someone else.
I think the Pantheon of Discord and the Toymaker’s Pantheon are different. Remember that the Doctor described the Toymaker as being “play”, rather than either order or chaos. The Pantheon of Discord, on the other hand, are all about chaos. The Trickster straight up says it’s his food and drink.
@mrmrmadlad9167 Maybe, though when you look at what the toymaker does in The Giggle, despite being "play" he basically causes mass chaos on earth.

Now I haven’t stuck both melodies next together and isolated the sounds and all that jazz but… I’m 98% certain those are two completely different songs haha 😂 Whole different notes, and I’m pretty sure different tempos. They *might* be the same key though? Again, no music expert, but I am also certain these aren’t the same song.
Ok it is about the music but the tune ruby sung was not this. The 14th doctor told us the message is slow. Maestro said its in a minor key and i scoured last night..

It makes no sense to me. I think that the trickster is involved, but if he's part of the pantheon of discord... Well the toymaker nor the maestro hid their identities, and if they're all in the same pantheon I'd assume they'd be on mostly friendly terms.

You’re joking, right? Theorising the plot line of a series is a staple of a tv show. It doesn’t spoil anything because that would imply you know it to be real. We don’t know if this is true or if it’s just a composing coincidence
No one really knows if it is the Trickster, they are stretching the idea to fit a few musical notes.
