- Today I was beyond honored to speak with one of my heroes, politician and voting rights activist Stacey Abrams. Having just been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize, it was truly a special experience to discuss voting issues in Georgia and her new novel While Justice Sleeps.

@Victoria Allen/ What a beautiful thing to say. And so truthful. So many times very special people don't know how much they have influenced and affected the world. They don't know because they were never told. They were never shown. And there's a real sorrow involved in this. A good example, I believe, was Princess Diana who, during her short life, suffered from low self-esteem and other debilitating issues. Naomi has shown up for her own life! That's something that takes guts and brains to do. She covered her brilliant guest in mountains of flowers 😍💙

I'm independent politically but would vote for Stacey Abrams in a heartbeat if she runs for president. As Naomi said, Abrams is transparent. It's very rare for politicians to ever outright admit that they are interested in the presidency. Oftentimes, shady politicians give very vague answers when asked about such ambitions.
All women should be celebrating Stacey around the globe irrespective of their politics . She is extraordinary and a wonderful leader .
So inspiring, The Black Woman's Athem we don't always do what we want to do, but we always do what we have to do!! Has a whole new meaning, we know that we can do both and be successful.
