Diners like that are slowly disappearing around the country and being replaced by the chain restaurants. To be around for 67 years says the locals really support it and you gotta love the handwritten checks. Keep up the great reviews and showing us those hidden gems. 👍

We have two drive-ins here and both get great business. I love that atmosphere. I met my husband at one of the local drive-in. We were married 40 years before he died. I love nostalgia.

Next time you come to Pennsylvania I'd love for you to stop at kauffmans bbq ranch in Bethel. They roast their chickens on giant spits and have great sides and a nice salad bar. It's a local favorite out in the country

I love the old drive inns. It was a beautiful day. I love chili dogs but I have never seen them with cole slaw. It looked mouth watering. I would of enjoyed that! This reminds me of a childhood restaurant A&W restaurant papa burger,mama burger ,junior burger,and baby burger,in those foil bags with the image of daddy,mama ,junior and baby,good old days.

We have a place similar to that where I live. It’s literally a local place nothing has changed in 60 years burgers and fries come in paper sack with burgers being in twisted wax paper. BEST place in town. They are still cash only with original register that spits your change back. Love it and it’s cheap

This kind of reminded me of the Dairy Queen Brazier I worked at as a kid. They also opened in the mid 50’s but sadly are not in operation today. The food was soo good and they had a fresh fixins bar with fresh sliced onions! Bobbi you would have loved it. I like the fact that it’s right off of Rte 40, that is right on the way to Dollywood from where I’m coming from which would make it very convenient for me.

Glad you took some of his onions, when he kept talking on how many onions he had, I was screaming inside my head, girl take those onions. 😂. My hubby does not like many, so I usually get most of his, and his pickles. When you are married for so long it's just second nature. He just hands me his burger and I know what to do 😅

Near where we live is an old root beer and burger joint called The Jug (in Middletown Ohio). You absolutely cannot find a better burger than the one you get at the Jug - you don’t need a lot of fancy toppings; they put fresh lettuce & tomato on each one. The race is on to see who can slurp theirs down first!

Thanks for the video! The slaw/chili dog is very NC, though it is great it had a sweetness to it! I have been on a huge club sandwich kick of late, so it was cool to see you get one (though, where is the turkey? I HAVE to have turkey and ham and bacon in mine with the tomato/lettuce/cheese). It looked great - the ham looked so nice, very thick pieces. I am used to them toasting the bread, but the other day I had one and for the first time they toasted it with butter and the bacon was nice and crispy, so they paired well! It made for an extra yummy club. Maybe the best ever one I have had. This little place (Debbie's) is so cute and reasonable prices.

love these places I used to work at one when I was 16...you rarely see outside menus unless it's a food truck. the sandwiches looked so delish and the fries. Love it! the patio was nice and tables as well. I think it would be nice to have some big pots of flowers on the patio....The prices were great! great review guys!! thanks! For those that don't know there are a lot of channels right now talking about the 6 solar flares or solar storms that are headed to Earth. I don't usually follow this type of thing but they said there could be an event starting this evening tonight into Saturday and Sunday that could cause power outages around the world and internet issues. The experts are also saying that at worst case scenario it could burn out or electrical grid and anything that's plugged in like your phone could burn out. They are saying that it could be the worst event since 1859. They also said that the electrical surges could be so powerful that it might start some houses on fire. Maybe everyone should unplug things that they don't need to have plugged in for the next couple of days. Just search solar flares and you will see all the warning videos popping on RUclips like crazy. ✌🏻

All of the food looked so good. I love cheeseburgers & that dessert looked delicious! I've never had a hot dog with coleslaw and chili on it or a club sandwich. That wasn't a bad price for everything either.
The prices were very reasonable. I liked slawdogs. Sometimes, if the coleslaw is running, it will make the bun soggy. If we ever stop here again, we would just get chili and onions on our hot dogs.Because their chili sauce was very good. John told me to tell you that if you want a good slawdog, go to Frank Allen's in Is Sevierville Tennessee . That is where Dolly Parton gets her slawdogs. Thanks for watching. 😎😎
