So you are half "Guanche", interesting... Funny think that the spanish Governament And Education sai that Canarias are 100% from Spain... But anyways peace from Morocco Bro 👍
The roman empire used the word Barbaric for uncivilised foreigners, that's what Berber means. Barberos is the first term invented by the Greeks. That is why Amazighs don't like the word Berber because it's offensive. Amazighs means free nobles or free people.
Marrakesh is not an arabic name but it is 100% composed amazigh name. (marakesch = moor+kouch ) mean the land of kouch . kouch is the name of old pagan god of amazigh befor the islam
In the annals of history, we are known as "AMAZIGH," the free and noble people in our own tongue. The name "Berber" was thrust upon us by foreign invaders, Romans and Arabs alike, who sought to diminish our spirit. Despite their attempts, we remained a thorn in the side of the sons of Abu Jahl. Our ancestors valiantly resisted the Arab invasion for nearly 70 years, enduring one of the toughest wars the so-called "Muslims" faced to spread Islam. When the time came, we embraced Islam as free men, but we refused to bow to Arab rule. This defiance ignited the first Amazigh rebellion, blessed by Allah, which ultimately toppled the oppressive Umayyad regime. Our struggle and resilience paved the way for the Abbasids, and our legacy as a proud and indomitable people endures to this day. our modo is ⴰⵡⴰⵍ, ⴰⴽⴰⵍ , ⴰⴼⴳⴰⵏ : our tongue, our land ,our people
Marrakech is NOT an Arabic name, It's a Berber name : ⴰⵎⵓⵔ ⵏ ⴰⴽⵓⵛ : Amur n Akush : Land of God, Yusuf Ibn Tashfin didn't know Arabic when he started, just Berber.
Ahh... Been waiting for a new episode of al-Andalus. Now I'm having mixed feelings about the next one. On one hand, there's gonna be more history to learn, but on the other it's... (just pretend the following two words are italicized) the Almohads...

Okay, ok, one big issue with this video. Almoravids were Saharan Berber tribes therefore why are you showing pictures of only light skinned Moors? They were apart of the Othman Empire which today we call Nigeria. They were the Moors of the old. The Citizens of Spain weren't happy with policies of the New Moors and decided to restore power to the Moors of the old (Othman Empire) which also included Mauritania, Sudan, Nigeria and Morocco.

I like the video and your content. But I have to agree with other comments that this rather casual approach to story telling is decreasing the credibility of your videos. Maybe you never intended this channel to be that, but still the style makes us to compare you with other channels of similar type, like Kings and Generals or BazzBattles. When I was first introduced to your channel I thought that it's BazzBattles but focusing on Islamic history. Your channel opens my eyes that there were rather few pious, capable and responsible leaders in Islamic history, just like all over the world. I hope you keep up the good work and maybe consider what I wrote. May Allah give barakah to your good intentions.

Taha Aharaz; I disagree, his gaps are mainly miniature internal fueds or their lack of unity and his Analysis are relatively impressive for how short the video is. I don't think I saw any misinterpretation so you're free to point them to me with the exception of El Cid.
Al Muqaddimah; in the video you called Valencia a puppet state of king Alfonso as El Cid, a former general of the king, had high administrative position in the city-state which, while true, does not signify it is a puppet state. In reality, the sole reason why El Cid ruled in name of King Alfonso is to ensure peace knowing that it is unlikely he can defend against the brunt of a Spanish onslaught and this can be seen by his conduct before and after entering into Service for the Taifa of Zaragoza: prior to being accepted into Zaragoza asking for hospitality as he was exiled from Hispania for insubordination. After being granted hospitality by Sultan Yusuf, he offered his military services to him which he accepted and promptly which he defeated the Spanish in the Battle of Morella. So shocked King Alfonso was by this, he almost immediately recalled him from Exile and reaffirmed El Cid's loyalty to Alfonso which he did as one would do in the 11th century but this was, of course, tmall in name as promptly after affirming he didn't stay long and returned to Zaragoza shortly after (although I don't remember how long he stayed). Not long after this, he would do numerous affront conducts that clearly is of more benefit to him than to Hispania. Here are a handful of examples: kidnapping the dude who ran barcelona (forgot if duke, noble, or the such) and then returning him his freedom in exchange of their children's marriage to strenghten ties and ensure no battle between the two would occur, the conquest of numerous municipalities and creating a relatively large fiefdom, and the fact that he did little to aid Alfonso against the invading Almovarid, as well as the fact that no one religious adherents are barred from gaining federal administrative positions and that there were no Jizya against muslim or christians alike in Valencia. Tl;dr, Valencia wasn't actually a pupet state but only in name

Taifa of Seville called Yusuf ibn Tashfin.
Al-Mutammid of Seville had a quarrel with Alfonso over Toledo. El Cid refused to fight either - Alfonso was his earlier liege but Al-Mutammid was a dear friend
The Almoravids Movement originated in the Awdgeste region of Adrar, Mauritania 🇲🇷 not in Morocco
In that time there is Nothing Called "Mouretania" or "Algeria" lol these country are Colonial man made lol...

The word for wind in Iberia is Levanter because on it the moors had come for the Levant(according to them). A wind is a strong force symbolizing change or transformation.
I read this in the Alchemist.
That's interesting.
Word for wind is Viento, i think you are confusing levantar which means get up.
we need caption or subtitle arabic for this great video.
The Arabic name for Morocco doesn't come from Marrakesh but the European and Amazigh names do come from the city.
Minute 2:50, the name of Morocco in Arabic is Maghreb which means the west in Arabic
Time to start a ck3 campaign as the Almoravids. Or even better start as Haestinn adventure into Morocco, convert to Islam and change family name to Al-Sawidi (or the Swede)
The Al-Sawids shall rule the Maghreb
You know, the word murabit became a vocabulary in indonesian, 'marbot', which means 'mosquekeeper'
In Urdu, it would be mean something around someone who's connected to something.
@@AlMuqaddimahYT was it in reference to the almoravids ? In indonesian it means mosquekeeper because the almoravids were very religious and tied to the mosque, even as far as indonesia the almoravid name still resounds 😄
@2:50 "Marrakesh which where the arabic name for morroco come from" ? I don't know where you got that, but that's far from true. morroco in arabic (=maghrb) come from the word the west as it is the most western land, while for marrakesh it is an amzigh name compound name (=Mur akush) which means the land of God .

Loved the video but If you could please call us amazigh instead of Berber that will be real coll
Hey! Sorry about that. I was looking for a more politically correct term but didn't know if Amazigh and Berber are the same people. I was going to ask around.

Awesome vid
Almohads r coming for the Almoravids

Yusuf Ibn Tashfin was a special kind of rulers and conquerors 🇲🇦
My regards to the people of the city of El Jadid.💜👍
Some advice:
1. Stop the crude language "piss off" and "bitching" arent a good look. Muslims are better and more professional than that
2. Invest in a better microphone. Get a Blue Yeti or something, the audio quality isnt there but the visuals are amazing
Didn't even hear him curse honestly, I'm too buisy paying attention to the HISTORY.
Time to start up another CK3 campaign as almoravids then
Yup you said it
Okay, ok, one big issue with this video.
@EZEREZR EREZR When they settled central Asia they were called Schwarzer Arabianisch.
In English today you say Black Aryans.
@EZEREZR EREZR If you have even seen the Basketball player Steven Curry that's what an Albino Nword looks like.
That's Soudame or Mohammadan that you are talking about.
@EZEREZR EREZR Do you go to work for a leaving? If so, then you are a slave because Work and Sklaverei are the same damn words.
It's called Arbeiten and damn near everybody has a job.
@EZEREZR EREZR Then you are a damn fool.
There's only one tree with many branches, leaves and various coloured flowers.
It's called a Nword Tree and the flowers are still called Nwords.
@EZEREZR EREZR And apparently you don't know language.
Nword is the Schwarze, Coloureds, Multiracial Aboriginals and Mauri and Nword are the same damn words as outline in every damn dictionary from any year ever created on this planet.
Therefore you don't know anything!
Casual approach? What do you mean? Be elaborate, please.
@@AlMuqaddimahYT like obvious jokes about Trump wall and some situations where you just explained someone's action by using spoken language words. I mean more academic approach would fit better for a history channel. I don't mean less jokes, however. They are making videos easier to watch, but even those could be more like how BazzBattles does.
Anyways, that's all my opinion. If you never intended your videos to be that way and you like your current style I have no intention to discourage you. But if this topic is raised by quite a number of your viewers, I think it's worth a shot.

Taha Aharaz; I disagree, his gaps are mainly miniature internal fueds or their lack of unity and his Analysis are relatively impressive for how short the video is. I don't think I saw any misinterpretation so you're free to point them to me with the exception of El Cid.
Can you point a few out, please?
What's that about El Cid?
