BUILDING THE ULTIMATE BMW M2 RACE CAR IN USA! *IT'S FINISHED!* FINAL EPISODE

- In just 5 weeks, we (German Auto Werks) were tasked with building The Ultimate BMW M2 Track Car!
We flew over from London, UK to Arizona, USA to carry out some serious work on this car!
In this episode the car is finished! After just 5 weeks of working day and night on the BMW M2, we have completed THE ULTIMATE BMW M2 TRACK CAR!
The idea behind this build was to create a GT4 spec BMW M2 that was capable of competing in a GT4 series, but also capable of driving on the street! We wanted to build a car that could be driven to the track, with no need to load onto a trailer!
We completely transformed this car with a huge supply of BMW Motorsport carbon fibre parts, a Drexler differential, a full colour coded T45 roll cage, wiring loom strip, BMW M2CS Racing steering wheel, a Sparco fire suppression system, Recaro Pole Position seats, Ohlins TTX coilovers, Forgeline lightweight wheels + loads more!

Target Weight: 1480kg/ 3263lbs
Final Weight: 1492kg/ 3291lbs

Id love to know the full cost of the build
So sick! You could always get more power out of a custom E85 tune and a downpipe without sacrificing reliability (if you ever wanted more power).
Was thinking the same thing, on top of that they could also upgrade parts of the cooling system especially since they’re tracking the car in Arizona
Thanks man! Absolutely! There’s a few routes we could obviously take to gain some reliable power, although for the class that this car will be running in, power to weight ratios mean that it does not need any extra power

So what’s the weight of the car? I didn’t see anyone mention the weight in the last video. Love the build! I have a 2019 M2c as well.

@@german_autowerksthanks!! Got it. Why wasn’t the stock battery changed out to a lithium? That should reduce 20lbs or more hitting your target goal. Maybe you want more weight in the rear for traction purposes.

Yes, we have designed a ‘lightweight’ pack that will bring the car down to 1380kgs. It will include carbon doors/bonnet/boot and a light weight battery.
The customer plans on racing the car eventually which is when the kit will be implemented :)
