The erasure of this series is insane. You can't find full seasons anywhere online. The only place I know of that they can be viewed is Dailymotion, but even then there are a couple of episodes missing. Mark Salling, who played Puck, was the mentor for the episode about sexuality (yikes) and it's somehow conveniently missing
I love how after all that Unique ended up being a bigger character than any of the other Glee Project folks who ended up on the show. Alex Newell is really that talented. I've been a big fan of theirs ever since Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist (which I watched well before Glee, for what it's worth) so it's kinda wild that this show of all things is where they got their start.
I saw Ali in Oklahoma on Broadway and she was INCREDIBLE. obviously she's been incredibly successful so she didn't *need* to get a recurring role on Glee to make it as a performer, but still, the choice not to make her the winner is a yikes from me
my mother used to watch glee when i was like 10 so sometimes i watched it with her, but i could NOT keep up with the story lmaoo i did love the songs, still some of the best covers ive ever heard (the rumour has it/someone like you matchup still has me on a chokehold)
as a 2010’s baby gay glee meant literally so much to me - the unholy trinity ruled my life 💆🏿♀️ it was a really well written ICONIC show (seasons 1-3)
I totally agree with everything you said. I think The Glee Project was rigged. A lot of talk about diversity, but then the cis men won. Lindsay should have won the first edition, and Ali should have won the second edition. They indroduced Blake to Melissa T_T
It’s because Ryan Murphy likes pretty white dudes, that’s the only reason. He goes on and on about inclusion and diversity, yet when given the chance to actually do that, he doesn’t. Aylin would’ve made for a much better winner than Blake Jenner lmao. And I don’t even want to talk about how TONY AWARD WINNER Ali Stroker got absolutely robbed, but that might’ve actually been for the best seeing as how her broadway career is doing
About the After thing...if you do make a video pls talk about how HS himself (who the movies are based on) has repeatedly stated how damaging it was for him to be seen as a "sex symbol" and a "womanizer" while he was just a teenager. More people need to talk about that. If he was a teenage girl, I'm sure it would've been a bigger deal sadly. But just like Taylor Lautner, they were just kids being sexualized by grown adult women in the 2010s. - EDIT: yes I understand the fan fic came before the real book then movie. Yes, I also know Harry Styles was "technically an adult" when it was made, but 19 is still a teenager. Hardly of age. Who knows how young he was when it was actually in the process of being written. And no I didn't mean the "if they were a girl" part as a sexist thing. But people speak up more when it's us young girls being sexualized. They should, but it also shouldn't invalidate wrongful sexualization of young boys. 19 year old Taylor Swift with 30 Jake Gyllenhaal is still WAY more talked about than 17 year old Harry with 31 year old Caroline Flack. I believe before she died, Caroline also went on to date more younger boys. We should speak up for all underage and recently of age kids. Harry has said how these things always made him uncomfortable. It's sad. ALSO ALSO I commented this days ago. Don't message looking for a fight please. What I said still stands. Guys assult and over-sexualization needs to be talked about MORE. Never said more THAN girls. Just more. Because 17 year old Harry with 31 Caroline Flack wasn't cool. 16 year old Vinnie Hacker with a grown woman wasn't cool. He said so himself. It was grooming. Taylor L having grown woman run up to him on the street (with their babies on their hips) just to touch his abs certainly wasn't right. He was 16. Taylor Lautner was just 16. This isn't a competition. Girls and boys sexualization by adults NEEDS to be talked about so hopefully and teens and children can realize what's happening to them before it's "too late". So they can tell someone. Younger guys having older women go after them is so normalized it's sick. Stop looking for fights. Don't be a toxic fake feminist. Us real feminists understand this happends to guys also and should be talked about too. We fight for everybody. All I said. Sorry if you took it the wrong way.
You’re wrong about the ‘if he was a teenage girl’ thing though. It happens to teen girls all the time and nothing changes, it’s just accepted as a part of the industry
@@mai-ya-hee yes, but it's more talked about amongst fans. Like Ariana Grande, Millie Bobby Brown, Liz Gillis, Billie Eilish, the Olsen twins, Megan Fox, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus, the Hadid sisters, Kylie and Kendall Jenner, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Jojo Siwa. All young girls who were wrongfully sexualized underage and way more people talk about it. I get what you mean though, but I just think it would be taken more seriously had Harry Styles and Taylor Lautner been girls. Girls/Women are treated wrongfully all the time still in the industry tho. That also needs to change. You are right tho. It's happening again with Olivia Rodrigo and creepy old people...
Oh man. I remember watching the Glee Project finale at my friend Kristen’s house. Damian was our favorite contestant and we were screaming our faces off when we learned he was also going to win. And her dad came into the room because he thought he needed to kill a spider or something. 😅😅
I've never watched Glee or the Glee project (not sure how I achieved that as a theatre kid during the height of glee's popularity), but I've seen both Ali and Alex perform on broadway! I had no idea this is where they got their start. They truly killed it and were probably the standout performances for me at each of their respective musicals
omg yes, im obsessed with your voice, it always reminds me of that tiktok sound of the girl who’s like ‘NAUR DAHLING, it’s not a pomegranate! give it another go, what do you think it is?’ and it’s sooo cute 😭❤️
Im surprised you didnt mention, but Charlie states openly in the show that he has ADHD and some minor ASD. Thats why he's so Out There sometimes, and why he can occassionally mess up- he has medical issues that directly impair his impulse control and social behaviors. (Obviously this isnt an argument against how the cane situation happened, he absolutely needed to be reprimanded for that) That's actually one of my biggest frustrations with the show. Youre right about them being really good with disability, but. Unfortunately they seem to kind of, Stop at physical dysabilities? Like they made all the necessary accomidations for all of the physically disabled contestants- which, again, is wonderful- but then someone like Charlie comes in, being very open about having disorders that present a lot of obstacles for him socially, and there are just. No accomadations. Nobody ever approaches his difficulties or odd behaviors with any consideration for his neurodivergency, and when he acts up or his social differences cause tension, it's played up for drama and exploited. Obviously, I know that the accomodations for mental and physical disability are much much different and I wouldnt have wanted him to be coddled or anything, but idk. I guess Im just sick of people treating adhd like it's just when a boy is a little rowdy and not like. A disorder that people really struggle with, and it was frustrating to see a show that usually tries so hard to provide marginalized representation gloss over it like every other piece of media.
Hi I have ASD and your wording of some of this is a bit offensive. ASD is not a mental illness, it’s a developmental disorder. Neurodivergence is just an atypical way of being. I don’t consider myself ill, we are just different to what society deems ‘normal’.
@@raindropsonroses3919 OP specifically said it's a disability, and disabled ≠ sick or ill. If you want to argue it's not a disability, that's fine, but there are good reasons people consider ADHD and ASD to be disabilities (see: social model of disability).
@@TumblrOzymandias You just glazed right over the part where they said that they have ASD, huh? Just sailed right past it and said, "Y'know what? Today I'm gonna find someone with ASD and talk down to them in a scathingly condescending way."
Good lord. I have ASD and ADHD and I was not offended. It is a disability. It’s a disabled ability to do certain things. People need to stop being so offended by wording and what people say.
When I was a teenager, I loved Celtic Thunder because of their Christmas album and cos my dads side is Irish, and hearing Damien got on Glee back in the day made me happy for him haha
i remember having a huge soft spot for lindsay when i watched s1 😔 i honestly felt like she was not really ill-intentioned, just kind of abrasive, blunt and a little socially awkward in the way a lot of kids who start in the arts really young can be. im so glad she's had so much deserved success after the show. same with ali and alex who are also both absolute stars 🌟
The thing I find weird with this whole thing is that they're pushing so hard, like, 'who are you going to represent' as though glee was like the pinnacle of self-acceptance, but you watch glee back and it feels overall those themes really don't shine through as much as it just being a teenage drama.
The original Glee itself was a fever dream for me. I was never interested in it and only knew about it through Tumblr. However, I will acknowledge the cultural impact it supposedly had at its time
i know this is not really about this video but i love the little 'we know how abusers get treated' bit cause so many yt creators have disappointed me and i'm glad you're not one of them cause i absolutely adore your content!
i started this video thinking i totally skipped over this show bc i thought it was a waste of time…..now i’m remembering everything. i watched everything. i had FAVORITES. i think i had successfully cleansed my brain of it…..until today, completely undoing ALL of that hard work
How did this timing work out like this?? I didn't think of this show for years until last night when I watched two different videos about it, and now this?!? amazing
as an american, i am shocked that they didn't know price tag by jessie j, BUT on the behalf of the UK, i am also shocked that jordan doesn't seem to know tonight tonight by hot chelle rae 🤯
This whole show was like high school played out on screen. It’s painfully obvious how immature some of the contestants are, which is understandable since most of them were underage or young adults at the time.
I never personally watched glee but i have been obsessed with Celtic Thunder since i was a child, Damian McGinty (the irish one) started off in that group when he was also a child. I found the glee project / glee through him. which is so niche, i know because no one knows who he is outside of the irish one from glee but he’s actually extremely well off outside of it with Celtic Thunder, which tours. I actually got to meet Damian finally a few years ago at one of their shows, i’ve seen them 4x times since i was a kid. They still tour and he’s still with them!
I also enjoyed how this show gave the contestants in the bottom for the week a chance to plead their case. I feel like that would have been a game changer in other reality shows.
This triggered another memory I had stored far far away in my brain, it was a show like this but for camp rock and so teens would come in and compete as if they were at camp rock, I can’t be the only person who remembers this??? Please do a video on it Jordan
I had no clue Alli was in this show. She is so incredible and inspirational. She was so above this show and the fact that her and Alex have had the most success from this makes the most sense. Like she’s so successful I had no clue this is where she got her start???
I totally agree with the title, it was a fever dream, I think I only saw the first season and liked Cameron, didn't even remember he was religious or that he left but that's it. Thank you for the refresher, also I'd love to see your take on After and Harry Styles.
It was so nice seeing a goofier side of you in this video! I feel like we don't often get to see your sense of humour a lot because of the darker subject matter of some of your other videos
Omg Ali was on this?? She was on deaf West spring awakening and ended up being the first wheel chair user to preform on Broadway, she's super talented and such a sweetheart
16:30 listen for the most part you are completely correct, but as a wheelchair user I will never get over Proud Mary. did that stop me from blasting the glee version of proud Mary when i got my electric wheelchair while i went full speed round my office? no it did not.
As someone who has been cursed with the burden of analyzing and liking Glee one episode I wish they did on TGP was an actability challenge but more in the vain of testing if the contestants could be funny. Everyone in season 2 waxes on and on about how Blake was a great actor and they could do anything with his character but frankly some of the worst line readings on that show are from him and considering how quippy Glee was and the fact that it's a comedy I'm surprised they never did a challenge like that.
I was obsessed with Cameron like any other teen girl at the time. Also Alex was an absolute STAR and completely stole the show when they were on Zoeys Extraordinary Playlist.
I have never seen an episode of Glee in my life but OH MY DAYS have I rewatched Glee Project like 5 times. Matheus giving his all (arguably too much) on stage brings me life
I’m rewatching your videos while recovering from surgery because I’m in too much pain to sleep and I find your energy so unbelievably comforting, thank you 🤍
19:00 no because i could tell damian liked her back when I rewatched it recently and I was so mad that they didn't air it like what the hell. also I've been on a binge of the gleek of the week podcast, especially the episodes where the guest is a glee project contestant and it confirmed a few things for me. like I went in knowing who the winner were so I was observing them especially, and for damian, like you said he's a charming adorable guy, and he was in the bottom 3 times. which means he got to talk to ryan a lot so ryan liked him and he could see himself writing him something, like it was because he got so much face time with him. sam actually auditioned for glee, I think it was the part of sam, and they really liked him but I can't remember why it didn't happen, but when the glee project happened they were basically like oh he's def in. so he already had this relationship with them prior to the show. and when I was watching, I noticed that he always seemed to land in the middle of things, always doing enough to stay out of the bottom, but not standing out much until the end when he finally decided to show his personality, and I was wondering if that was an editing thing or what, but yeah turns out he was doing that on purpose (well that's said with a lot of confirmation bias but u know). and like u said ryan murphy loves to write for people, it's a trend on all his shows, if he likes you, then you're coming back in multiple projects most likely. so if he doesn't feel like your personality is something he can write for, or if you don't fit the character he already has in mind, then it won't work for him. I'm not saying it's bad btw, its just how he works and in the context of the show i feel like it was unfair to everyone. like with blake(ugh) they said multiple times that they were looking to basically replace finn, they wanted a new finn, and like cory, blake is white, has a decent voice and can act, so when he won, it shouldn't have been a surprise. even in the show the storyline he had was clearly building him to be the new finn. like dani in the podcast said that the judges told them that they didn't really have the personality they need, but that as an artist they're brilliant and they believe in them. or Abraham, it feels like they really wanted to push him into this label/personality archetype that he was not comfortable with at all and it showed. even with alex, despite the massive talent he has, they only started really looking at him when the drag persona came out, bc that offered them an opportunity. lucky for them alex was comfortable with it and still are so good for them, but they were always pushing people to fit something they wanted. like i love aylin, but i could see he was gonna write a terrible Muslim rep and if he had had his way, that rep in a show that massive would've been so damaging to us, so I'm glad it didn't happen. so yeah, the glee project wasn't rigged per see but it did feel like it wasn't fair to all
Cameron also quit because he missed his girlfriend and they were trying go convince him to kiss Hannah but it went against his morals because he would have felt like he would be cheating. If I'm remembering correctly.
I thought it was bc he wasn't comfortable with like sex scenes? Because he was a virgin and saving himself and all And the producers were like "Hey bro Glee has sex on it"
i've never watched Glee even though i was technically in the target demographic for it as it was airing but this was so entertaining regardless 😂i would def love an After video, i'm sure you'd bring a new angle to it!
The one memory I have of this show is near the end of S1 (maybe the finale?? Idk, forgive me if I get details wrong) when the contestants are going in for their recording sessions with Nikki. Alex became very emotional during their session and started sharing personal vulnerabilities with Nikki, who responded with support and kindness. When Alex leaves the booth, it's obvious that they've been crying and so they admit that they and Nikki shared an emotional moment. CUT TO LINDSAY going into the booth and putting on a very transparent act about HER emotional connection to the song, HER unseen vulnerabilities. Nikki gives her support, but is also lowkey like "this is weird, what's happening?" And on her way out of the booth, Lindsay makes eye contact with Nikki to tell her "You're awesome 🙂" Ohhhhh myyy godddddd, like good for her that she's doing well now, but the secondhand embarrassment lives rent-free in my brain, ahhhhh
I remember a lot from the first season of Glee Project but not from the second, maybe cause I liked the cast better in the first one. Especially Cameron and Lindsey, they were the best imo
I was obsessed with glee and glee project 😬 people would ask me for weekly updates. Only now do I realise they were laughing at me not with me lol. no I was not a cool kid in high school.

The only place I know of that they can be viewed is Dailymotion, but even then there are a couple of episodes missing. Mark Salling, who played Puck, was the mentor for the episode about sexuality (yikes) and it's somehow conveniently missing
It’s on Hulu but you need an extension to watch it even though you don’t need one for glee
I love how after all that Unique ended up being a bigger character than any of the other Glee Project folks who ended up on the show. Alex Newell is really that talented. I've been a big fan of theirs ever since Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist (which I watched well before Glee, for what it's worth) so it's kinda wild that this show of all things is where they got their start.
honestly their fame is INSANE, they literally got a song into just dance like???
And now they won a Tony
The absolute GRIP Cameron Mitchell’s cover of ‘Blackbird’ had on me when I watched this
he had lots of beautiful covers but he deleted all of them
I illegally downloaded it and listened after school like every day lmao
I never watched the glee project but I did embarrassingly watch all six seasons of glee.
Same 😭
please do americas next top model! u only really need to watch the first 15 seasons to get the gist of the insanity it was 😭
We can’t ignore the 20s- bringing in the boys was a moment! Brought out such vibes that I need her full review of it.
Can’t forget the all stars season 🤢
“Only the first 15 seasons” what the hell are you talking about “only” 💀💀
@@jakob8646 i cried
@@jakob8646 the first season is 9 episodes and the rest average between 12-15. So compared to shows like greys anatomy, it’s not that long.
I saw Ali in Oklahoma on Broadway and she was INCREDIBLE. obviously she's been incredibly successful so she didn't *need* to get a recurring role on Glee to make it as a performer, but still, the choice not to make her the winner is a yikes from me
For some unhinged reason I only watched The Glee Project, not Glee. I was obsessed with Cameron
actually same.. i was obsessed haha
saaaame lol
Literally same, like word for word
every time you make a video on a reality show an angel gets its wings
my mother used to watch glee when i was like 10 so sometimes i watched it with her, but i could NOT keep up with the story lmaoo i did love the songs, still some of the best covers ive ever heard (the rumour has it/someone like you matchup still has me on a chokehold)

tiny correction about melissa and bl*ke! they actually divorced in 2016. she has been with her new husband since then and they have a son (:
That's a wonderful update, thank you for telling!💛
as a 2010’s baby gay glee meant literally so much to me - the unholy trinity ruled my life 💆🏿♀️ it was a really well written ICONIC show (seasons 1-3)
My parents loved the Glee Project version of Raise Your Glass to the point where they still quote the "buku cool" and "yeeehaw" ad libs
Hahahaha!!! I loved that cover.🍬
The song mentioned at around 41:00 is Tonight Tonight by Hot Chelle Rae. And holy mother of God, that dates this show.
God, Hot Chelle Rae 😭 even the band name is so 2009...
@@Lolzadoodle8484 You think that dates it, the song references Zach Galfianakis.
@@CompaSystem I forgot about that part... I don't even remember who that man is...
It's so 2010's 🤪
The Mike’s Mic visit in London was a promo shoot for this omg
About the After thing...if you do make a video pls talk about how HS himself (who the movies are based on) has repeatedly stated how damaging it was for him to be seen as a "sex symbol" and a "womanizer" while he was just a teenager. More people need to talk about that. If he was a teenage girl, I'm sure it would've been a bigger deal sadly. But just like Taylor Lautner, they were just kids being sexualized by grown adult women in the 2010s.
-
EDIT: yes I understand the fan fic came before the real book then movie.
Who are you talking about
@@torrenciamcdaniel3272 I think Harry Styles
It's happening again with Olivia Rodrigo and creepy old people...
probably wouldn't be that big of a deal if he was a teenage girl (shrug emoji) people just don't care about victims regardless of gender.
The horror music over the "cursed" scenes is really doing me in😂
Oh man. I remember watching the Glee Project finale at my friend Kristen’s house. Damian was our favorite contestant and we were screaming our faces off when we learned he was also going to win. And her dad came into the room because he thought he needed to kill a spider or something. 😅😅
I like how you had to warn us they were theater kids lmao
its been years and i am still deeply bitter and upset that marissa was eliminated. i will never not be mad about it.

I've never watched Glee or the Glee project (not sure how I achieved that as a theatre kid during the height of glee's popularity), but I've seen both Ali and Alex perform on broadway! I had no idea this is where they got their start. They truly killed it and were probably the standout performances for me at each of their respective musicals
i haven't even watched this yet but i know it's gonna be great bc you always kill it and me with your amazing fits and makeup tf
omg yes, im obsessed with your voice, it always reminds me of that tiktok sound of the girl who’s like ‘NAUR DAHLING, it’s not a pomegranate! give it another go, what do you think it is?’ and it’s sooo cute 😭❤️
Im surprised you didnt mention, but Charlie states openly in the show that he has ADHD and some minor ASD. Thats why he's so Out There sometimes, and why he can occassionally mess up- he has medical issues that directly impair his impulse control and social behaviors. (Obviously this isnt an argument against how the cane situation happened, he absolutely needed to be reprimanded for that)
That's actually one of my biggest frustrations with the show.
Impeccable timing - I just started rewatching Glee this month!!
When I was a teenager, I loved Celtic Thunder because of their Christmas album and cos my dads side is Irish, and hearing Damien got on Glee back in the day made me happy for him haha
I think Damian came back to performing with Celtic Thunder.
i remember having a huge soft spot for lindsay when i watched s1 😔 i honestly felt like she was not really ill-intentioned, just kind of abrasive, blunt and a little socially awkward in the way a lot of kids who start in the arts really young can be. im so glad she's had so much deserved success after the show. same with ali and alex who are also both absolute stars 🌟
However, I will acknowledge the cultural impact it supposedly had at its time
as soon as i saw Samuel i was like "omg he was in after, tragic"
i know this is not really about this video but i love the little 'we know how abusers get treated' bit cause so many yt creators have disappointed me and i'm glad you're not one of them cause i absolutely adore your content!
She's a relatively younger creator. No one is perfect. The less you idolise people, the better.
who said anything about idolising? being imperfect doesn't excuse being awful and supporting abusers.
i started this video thinking i totally skipped over this show bc i thought it was a waste of time…..now i’m remembering everything. i watched everything. i had FAVORITES. i think i had successfully cleansed my brain of it…..until today, completely undoing ALL of that hard work
I can still remember making a fan account for Cameron lol. This was such a trip down memory lane.
I put up a Michael banner on my Facebook page at the time telling people to vote for him 😂
How did this timing work out like this?? I didn't think of this show for years until last night when I watched two different videos about it, and now this?!? amazing
I was 18 when Glee first aired. You really did just have to be there. The hold it had on everyone was intense.
as an american, i am shocked that they didn't know price tag by jessie j, BUT on the behalf of the UK, i am also shocked that jordan doesn't seem to know tonight tonight by hot chelle rae 🤯
This whole show was like high school played out on screen. It’s painfully obvious how immature some of the contestants are, which is understandable since most of them were underage or young adults at the time.
Oh my gosh yes please do an after documentary. I would love to see you talk about it.
Mario came to the institution I was held at and we sang a song together back in 2015. He’s truly such a sweet person.
my best friend and i LOVED the glee project but to this day no one ever knows what we're talking about when we mention it. thank u for this LMAO
I have never watched a single episode of Glee but for some reason the Glee Project had such a hold over me when it came out
I never personally watched glee but i have been obsessed with Celtic Thunder since i was a child, Damian McGinty (the irish one) started off in that group when he was also a child.
19:07 "I would Sue"
Iconic
I also enjoyed how this show gave the contestants in the bottom for the week a chance to plead their case. I feel like that would have been a game changer in other reality shows.
This triggered another memory I had stored far far away in my brain, it was a show like this but for camp rock
and so teens would come in and compete as if they were at camp rock, I can’t be the only person who remembers this???
Please do a video on it Jordan
I had no clue Alli was in this show. She is so incredible and inspirational. She was so above this show and the fact that her and Alex have had the most success from this makes the most sense. Like she’s so successful I had no clue this is where she got her start???
I totally agree with the title, it was a fever dream, I think I only saw the first season and liked Cameron, didn't even remember he was religious or that he left but that's it. Thank you for the refresher, also I'd love to see your take on After and Harry Styles.
he was religious and wasn't comfortable with kissing scenes and he left the show
It was so nice seeing a goofier side of you in this video!
I was obsessed with Michael and Nellie!! lol they formed a band after the show and I just loved them so much 😂
As someone who has been cursed with the burden of analyzing and liking Glee one episode I wish they did on TGP was an actability challenge but more in the vain of testing if the contestants could be funny. Everyone in season 2 waxes on and on about how Blake was a great actor and they could do anything with his character but frankly some of the worst line readings on that show are from him and considering how quippy Glee was and the fact that it's a comedy I'm surprised they never did a challenge like that.
I’m living for the way they were so aggressively pushing Avril Lavigne with Keep Holding On
I've never watched glee, but great video! And your "El-FAY-ba?" So pure and wholesome, it made my day 😂😂😂
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MENTIONING JACK BLACK!!! I was screaming at my tv when I saw that "she stole that from kung fu panda!"
I was obsessed with Cameron like any other teen girl at the time. Also Alex was an absolute STAR and completely stole the show when they were on Zoeys Extraordinary Playlist.
as one of the biggest avril lavigne stans ever, the eliminated contestants singing keep holding on every week truly speaks to my soul lol 💕

I'm not saying it's bad btw, its just how he works and in the context of the show i feel like it was unfair to everyone. like with blake(ugh) they said multiple times that they were looking to basically replace finn, they wanted a new finn, and like cory, blake is white, has a decent voice and can act, so when he won, it shouldn't have been a surprise. even in the show the storyline he had was clearly building him to be the new finn. like dani in the podcast said that the judges told them that they didn't really have the personality they need, but that as an artist they're brilliant and they believe in them. or Abraham, it feels like they really wanted to push him into this label/personality archetype that he was not comfortable with at all and it showed. even with alex, despite the massive talent he has, they only started really looking at him when the drag persona came out, bc that offered them an opportunity. lucky for them alex was comfortable with it and still are so good for them, but they were always pushing people to fit something they wanted. like i love aylin, but i could see he was gonna write a terrible Muslim rep and if he had had his way, that rep in a show that massive would've been so damaging to us, so I'm glad it didn't happen.
so yeah, the glee project wasn't rigged per see but it did feel like it wasn't fair to all
The Glee Project made me obsessed with the Move Like Jagger x Milkshake mashup! I even downloaded it onto my old Nokia phone. Gosh, the memories...
Only 11 minutes into the video and this sounds like something from a fever dream. I am going to watch the glee project after this video.
FINALLY SOMEONE TALK ABOUT THIS, BLESSED BE
Cameron also quit because he missed his girlfriend and they were trying go convince him to kiss Hannah but it went against his morals because he would have felt like he would be cheating. If I'm remembering correctly.
I thought it was bc he wasn't comfortable with like sex scenes? Because he was a virgin and saving himself and all
And the producers were like "Hey bro Glee has sex on it"
THE MUSIC OVER THE CURSED DANCING BYYYEEE
i've never watched Glee even though i was technically in the target demographic for it as it was airing but this was so entertaining regardless 😂i would def love an After video, i'm sure you'd bring a new angle to it!
Literally screamed when I saw this
back in TGP days i ran a Dani Shay Stan blog, like... that's how far into glee i was lol
Can confirm that price tag was a popular song in the US
The one memory I have of this show is near the end of S1 (maybe the finale?? Idk, forgive me if I get details wrong) when the contestants are going in for their recording sessions with Nikki. Alex became very emotional during their session and started sharing personal vulnerabilities with Nikki, who responded with support and kindness. When Alex leaves the booth, it's obvious that they've been crying and so they admit that they and Nikki shared an emotional moment.
CUT TO LINDSAY going into the booth and putting on a very transparent act about HER emotional connection to the song, HER unseen vulnerabilities. Nikki gives her support, but is also lowkey like "this is weird, what's happening?" And on her way out of the booth, Lindsay makes eye contact with Nikki to tell her "You're awesome 🙂"
Ohhhhh myyy godddddd, like good for her that she's doing well now, but the secondhand embarrassment lives rent-free in my brain, ahhhhh
You’re literally my comfort RUclipsr
I remember a lot from the first season of Glee Project but not from the second, maybe cause I liked the cast better in the first one. Especially Cameron and Lindsey, they were the best imo
I was obsessed with glee and glee project 😬 people would ask me for weekly updates. Only now do I realise they were laughing at me not with me lol. no I was not a cool kid in high school.
