I have this and it absolutely rocks. Played it ampless recently through a cab sim at a small gig and couldn’t ask for more. Dynamic, fat, warm and very much the orange sound. Not everyone’s flavor but great for Foo Fighters and other rock. Great demo! 🤘🏼
Mine just came today. It is F.in’ awesome! I’m very picky with my pedals but I removed another off my board and put this in my #1 spot. It’s that good. Best clear distorted notes I’ve ever heard hands down. I like this better that my Timmy, OCD, and tube screamer. Super versatile. Only complaint is it’s 12v so I have to use the supplied cable instead of a pedal power or other multi supplier, but it’s a big pedal with tube so yeah it needs its own source for sure
On the way to México. Stop over in Houston Texas my former hometown. Enjoyed the demo! I've wanted to order the orher 2 that Tubesteder make. Maybe I'll pull the trigger on this one!
Nice video. But I don’t think I understand. We are listening to a preamp being fed into a Benson Monarch which, on its own, already sounds fantastic. Wouldn’t it make more sense to mainly highlight how this sounds without the use of another fantastic amp after it? Otherwise this is just an overdrive pedal with a different name.
@amnesia-scribbles some say you can still hear their fists shaking at the sky with their Grateful Dead bracelets clacking in the wind. The green zero diverse flora lawn must be protected at all costs!
hey andrew - my assumption is that 99% of people will run the pedal into the front of the amp using it as an additional preamp. that's how i would use it. the odds of me running it into the return on the fx loop is slim to none, i might use it direct if i were going for that sound, but even then you're running a preamp into a preamp, which kind of brings us back to square one. i've run lots of pedals direct in the past and youtube gives me a lot of data on what folks skip through and those are ALWAYS skippable moments. and for the dude griping about guitars: i'm sorry you're not familiar with stratocasters, jazzmasters, and P90 equipped guitars. didn't intend to ruin your day.
@@DemosInTheDark As an extra data point that runs contrary to your 99% assumption, I came here looking for a preamp that I can run into a power amp and not into the front of an amp. Regardless, I really enjoyed your "in the mix" demo song.
kinda wish builders would have a bypass lockout switch for pedals like this. I would hate to be in the middle of a song at a gig, hit the wrong switch for a solo and find myself dead silent.
Great demo, however let’s address the elephant in the room. The cycling cap is gone, you have a fantastic head of hair, and I don’t know how I feel about that. It’s not bad, but it’s kind of like when you’re a little kid and your dad shaved his beard or moustache. I joke, love your videos, especially the musicality and “band context” of the gear demos.
I love this pedal. I have been an Orange amp user for years and it does deliver.

Just ordered one of these and this demo really got me stoked. Love your playing, fantastic intro jam!
I’m just happy to be here.
Rock On !

Puts a smile in my face.
Sounds sweet and nice playing, Ryan. High voltage tube drives are my favorite kind of overdrive pedal.
Super cool sounds, definitely providing some Orange vibes.
Sounds beautiful. The Zia logo on it reminds me of my home state, New Mexico, which is a huge plus.
Dig the intro! Smooth

I think i want to try this on bass…bad. Lol. Loved the opening jam as usual!
It looks huge. What does it compare to in size?

Being played on yet another ,amongst a whole slew of, unique, weird guitars I've never heard of before and have zero reference for.
