@@totallygarnular Yeah, that's a better wish ;p Unfortunately Polish is ridiculously complicated, our words decline through so many things (time, grades, cases) and so diversly, its a nightmare, so learning it would be very tough (I'm currently trying to learn Greek, which has similar problem with declining words, but there are less cases and stuff, and yet it's still hard!... although they have like 5 different ways of writing the letter "i" and other stuff like that, so maybe it events itself out?). I honestly prefer using English at this point than Polish ^^;
Shadow came out early where i live (thanks Barnes and noble for not caring about when things come out) and i got done with it today, no spoilers but i enjoyed it very much!
I love how your short and positive comment caused me even greater anxiety about what is going to happen xD Even if this is the 3rd book of the arc, where they always have some sort of "win" for the good guys, it's still a Warriors' book. For the last couple of years, every time a new one came out, I would start reading it with the mentality "Okay, who's gonna die? HOW ARE YOU GOING TO HURT ME THIS TIME?!" xD Already got a very minor, but highly depressing spoiler on facebook :/ Nothin about anybody dying thankfully (then I wouldn't call it minor), but still. Hopefully I'll avoid spoilers for the next 3 days^^
Thanks for the news^^ Voted on the poll that "I am named after ancestor but it doesn't really matter to me"; my second name is sorta after my grandfather, it's sort of a tradition in Greece to have grandkids named after grandparents, usually son names his first son their father while daughters name their first daughters after their mother, since I'm grandfather's daughter's son though I got his name for second name, and not exactly the same one too, a bit different (so kinda like Flame- and Fire- thing I guess). Grandfather was pretty great I guess, he fought both in WW2 and the Greek Civil War for starters, though to be honest we didn't really get along (he was disappointed I couldn't speak Greek) so I don't really know that much about him. I do like my second name but it's not that big of a deal for me, it's not like people compare me to my grandfather xD Fun fact about Thunder Rising book, that I think I might have mentioned under one of the previous videos; Polish title actually translates to "Lightning's Strike", because in Polish books ThunderClan is actually called "LightningClan", not quite sure why... could be it because they wanted to "fix" the joke at the start of this book? With Gray Wing saying how Lightning Tail always follow Thunder, so they are a storm in the making? Because it's thunder that follows lightning, which is why I think Lightning Tail will be actually called Thunder Tail now in the translation (Thunder is indeed called Lightning). Kind of an overkill to just try and have a joke make sense if you ask me, so not sure if that's the reason. Oh, and as for the "strike" part in the title, I think it's because "rising" wouldn't really translate well as part of the title. Fun fact regarding the illustrated translation of Forest of Secrets; I bought it (which means now I own THREE versions of Forest of Secrets, original, old Polish translation - which I will probably give to a library - and this one), but didn't really check it yet other than look at the illustrations, then I noticed on facebook somebody asking if they want to exchange their version of the book for theirs with the writing "This book is property of ShadowClan" and with the ShadowClan's symbol stamp on the first page; apparently the illustrated books get that when they are pre-ordered. I left a comment, laughing at myself for not noticing that, but said that I wouldn't exchange with that person because as of latest book ShadowClan is my least favorite Clan. ... So yeah, guess what stamp I have on MY copy? :facepalm: xD Regarding the excerpt: 1. Icewing is quickly ensuring she'll get a ticket to getting herself banished from the Clan permanently. At this point, I would banish her even if she had nothing to do with Reedwhisker and Curlfeather's deaths. Collaborating with a foreign power that occupies your territory is nothing but treason -_- I COULD understand it if it seemed that she truly had only RiverClan's good at heart, and she was trying to do damage control, but it really doesn't look like that to me so far. 2. Here's a joke that came to my mind when I read the second chapter: On the quest to find catmint (in Sky): Nightheart: Rootspring, how do I get a she-cat to fall in love with me? Rootspring: Oh, that's easy, you just have to do something really embarrassing for her in front of her entire Clan. The more cringy the better! Nightheart: ... well that sounds like something right in my wheelhouse! I think we can agree that it was the most cringy (though still quite funny) thing in Warriors. Also, LOVED Berryheart's reaction to the news xD Yeah, after the first chapter this one really improved my mood. 3. As much as it pains me to see Bramblestar in such state, I love how Leafstar STILL turns to him for help and support rather than Harestar ;p As for the quotes: 1. Hm... something about Nightheart? 2. Somebody about Berryheart I think, possibly about to start the vote to strip Tigerstar from his leadership (PLEASE!), alternatively about Icewing. 3. Tigerstar thinking about making Icewing the leader of RiverClan, possibly by telling Puddleshine and Shadowsight to lie and say they got a sign from StarClan, and he can go straight to Dark Forest with that -_- 4. Sunbeam and Berryheart, maybe Sunbeam and Nightheart, Nightheart and Sparkpelt? Sadly with me living in Poland there is no chance for me to get the book early, my bookstore even starts shipping them only a few days AFTER they come out for some reason (like, if they have to ship them, why can't they get it early and deliver them to me on the day when they come out? That's how I get my Polish books, sometimes even a few days early!) :/ That being said, I also bought an ebook on amazon so I can read it as soon as it comes out. Already got a very minor but still upsetting spoiler, so wanna avoid that... also my curiosity would eat me up. Took the day off work so I can read it right away without interruption^^
I wanna live in Poland. Now
Trust me, you don't, especially now. People in Isreal are right now protesting under the banners "We don't want to live [like] in Poland!"
I wanna be able to read polish-
