Hi, I'm going for the first time in Varadero this holiday. Can you help me with my strategy on buying cigars. I'm reading a lot that the prices are high and shops like la casa del habano ( I think they are 3 in Varadero ) do not seems to have the same prices. Are shops in certain hotels goods. What about at the aeroport when leaving...is it a good option. Can I expect to find Yul cigars pricing. Thanks
Great place and the beaches are amazing ….. for starters I would avoid the airport, leave it as a last resort ….. as for the LCDH, they should all be the same price, when I went they were bang on to YUL …… where you may see some discrepancies is with some of the hotels that sell cigars. Hope that helps What I do suggest is get yourself some really big ziplock bags and boveda packs, that way as you buy boxes you can put them in the bag and throw a boveda bag in it and your set till you get home.

Question, does all boxes of Montecristos comes with their seal under the government seal? Because I have the Montecristos No. 1 and they dont have that seal under the government seal! Help please.

no "real" answer as that type of transaction would still be shy of legal here, but typically if you can come across a #2 on the private market you can figure $25-35 a cigar... however... seeing how "THose" types of transactions are usually between close friends, and usually even those only willing to part with 1 or 2... you might get it for 20-25 bucks if you have a very nice friend... for 20-25 I'd say jump... but for me if one is 30+, I'll just buy 3 four kicks robusto's, and call it a day.

The Cuban Cigars nowadays are Shit, not worth the price. These white Spots everywhere should not be there. And there are other Problems in the Construction, they don't burn well.
expensive yes i agree , as for burn i've only had 2 cigars so far this year that burnt uneven thats it, the rest were dead on, construction is bang on, again i've had 2 cigars that were tight draw not a big deal it happens .....as for water marks lol for me not a big deal, seriously water marks lol, shit man , last summer i had cigars in my front pocket of my shirt on the golf course (i won't say the brand) and the cigars bled through my dam shirt, so what the hell are they using on the cigars, i'll take water marks or chlorophyll marks any day over trying to hide it just to make it look perfect
Well they are made by hand so you're going to have some imperfections. And if you don't think any other cigar manufactures don't have the same problem, you're kidding yourself. Good to know that you think they are shit, that means their are more of them for the rest of us that say "BS" to you.

When you purchase your cigars in Cuba, do the boxes come wrapped in cellophane/plastic. Or do they come as you show in your video. My concern is my friend is picking up the boxes for me, and will be about a week of them sitting at his house without any humidification. If they are wrapped, I think I'm good. If they are not, then I need to figure out a way for him to keep them humidified. Thanks
