I lived in Thailand for a while…I don’t know if these are the same ants that one day got on my bath towel, but it was like being bitten by the smallest, spiciest chili pepper in the known universe. The ant was about as wide as a very small toast crumb and as long as a short eyelash, nearly clear with a faint red hue, and the eight bites I garnered that day left me in pain for at least a week. Very fascinating how nature works in such creative ways to sustain its own. By the same token by understanding how they work in their natural habitat, humans can fully take advantage of creating our own sustainable activities like farming without the use of excessive pesticides or weed killers etc
Simply amazing. that is wild 😁 how The species of ants works to build a nest in a tree and how the farmer can utilize them to help and protect his crops so that they both can live in harmony
Their grubs can be sold at relatively high price. I'm not sure about other countries, but last time I was there, it was at least 400 baht per kilogram in Thailand. The "Premium" ones are like 1,000.
