Just proving that higher tunings can still be heavy as long as you know how to make a good riff, good tone, and good mix.
Its always fun riffing in higher tuning, and the notes will always be clear.
Sylosis and Winds of Plague are pretty good examples of this
The Dillinger Escape Plan proved it for a longgg time
Heavy is relative
Also proves that higher tunings can't djent.
Got some Chunk! No captain Chunk! - Bitter vibes in the begining.
High tunings djont slaps
yes! i just straight ripping off that song intro lol.
and thanks man!
The harmonies stick out a lot more with the standard tuning instead of the strings being drop tuned to hell. I kinda dig it.
glad you like it! the clarity stands out
You should check out Bird problems "Beyond the nest" album!
This is literally the best E standard ever, you made it sound heavier than some 7 strings
To be fair i did cheated with an octaver in the outro
Reminds me of earlier ERRA, just tuned to standard. This is badass dude
Their debut album and augment ep is peak metalcore
@@Zainmhz 100% agree!
Funny enough, I think the first album had 7 strings tuned up a half step, so it likely sounded similar because they were in a similar tuning
The intro made me think of Incubus.
0:38 that groove is so nice
glad you like it!
It feels like this could be a return to home, bringing the style of Djent's aspects, but to non-metal songs. Now I want to try that!
That is the spirit
If this video inspires people to make Djindie Rock, I would be so happy.
Wow forgot I made this comment, it kind of blew up!
Reminds me a little or Protest the Hero with that tone. This is sick dude.
Protest the hero riffs are tasty
I was just thinking of them too! 😁
beautiful riffs
thank you!
Noice, I'm tele-ing everybody about this!
Tele- em that i said thank you!
This sounds awesome! Excellent writing and its good in E Standard. So many Djent videos on YT, all using the same tunings, all using the same (NeuralDSP) Plug-ins, and all sound exactly the same as each other.
Carrying on what Kmac started!
The god of music meme
God.
We reviving standard-tuning metal with this one
standard tunings start to rise again
I see people saying a lot of bands in the comments but to me this is very Protest the Hero, a bit less proggy but if you told me this was a new instrumental by them I'd believe it, great playing
So true! I thought the same, I was waiting for the djent to start the whole song.
Not very familiar with their stuff, but protest the hero riffs are tasty
Blues Djent. Very beautiful bro, as a tele user im so proud. Tele is the most versatile guitar ever😊. Once you got tele, you'll never go back to other type of guitar.
thank you! Well said! but it my friend's guitar so i guess i'm back to my strats (or i should buy one)
This has Metroid Metal vibes, I love it.
I don't need a 7 string anymore
7string is overrated
JK i have one, don’t cancel me
Guess i gotta sell my 9 string and delete my pitch shifting plugins😢😢😢
No , because you need an 8 😅
Don’t you see? The 7 string was inside you all along!
@@LeGou 8 strings are Ludacris they are good for anyone who wants to piss off bassists
This is lyrics away of becoming a banger, and it already is a banger. Nice job man!
thanks a ton man!
this is the alternate universe where the I built the sky/andy hauck collab i want exists
not very familiar with their stuff, but i think i get it!
@@ZainmhzYou need to check out I Built the Sky, and if you haven’t heard of Syncatto/Charlie Robbins, check him out while you’re at it. Incredibly underrated
Pretty sure time has clearly showed that you can literally play any genre on a strat or tele.....just insanely versatile guitars. But i just love how they feel to play, I have the 1972 thinline reissue...and dear god. Absolute the greatest feeling guitar I've ever held in my hands.
Awesome playing....anything can sound fantastic with creativity....not everything has to be heavy tuning.
Couldn’t agree more , got mine a cheap HSS strat and it works well literally on every songs i wrote or cover
Dang, mixolydian is so FRESH!
its got this 70s/80s highway riding sound to the riff its awesome!!!
I should’ve add harley engine sound effect on the intro, missed opportunity
This is an absolute banger
I don't know why everyone has to forcibly find similarities with other bands. I think this is pretty original and I would definetly listen to a full ep with vocals. Grest job man!
thanks man! yeah its like some kind of necessity these days, but to be fair i did copied the intro of cncc - bitter on this one
@@Zainmhz who cares! You made it your own! Good job mate!!
This is beautiful! Pls more!!!
More to come!
In Tele Djent...haha that's freaking brilliant!
Sick riffs my guy
Thanks a lot!
With all the dope eq's out there with various other plugins, you can make just about any pickup sound the way you want it to.
Very cool jam, bro 🤘
thanks bro! couldn't agree more on that. it still pretty 'thin' on this one, but i think it got character
@@Zainmhz100%
This is a vibe for sure! Super fun. All of the hallmarks of modern metal without any kind of dark or depressing motif.
glad you like it! been writing some major stuff lately
Four years strong is gonna blow up with this one I'm calling it.
Four years strong please contact me and add vocals on it
As soon as I saw the title as a Tele player, I was like; "why wouldn't it ?" Well played sir, you show them peep that whatever you have, you can do whatever your creative mind wants ;)
thank you sir! tele is pretty versatile
somewhere between protest the hero and tool sounds sick dude
Okay that’s a great combination
Killer riffage man. You earned my sub
Thanks man! I really appreciate that!
Forget Fishman pickups or extra jumbo fret or 14' radius. This design from 50's is one of the best!
this is anime fight scene music and you can't convince me otherwise.
an AMV would go crazy
That was a refreshing listen. Looks like I need a tele now
Glad you enjoyed it man! There’s always space for a tele
@@Zainmhz that there is. And now I need one. The question is baritone or not haha
@@BrendonKPadjasek i heard that squier baritone telecaster is pretty good, maybe the bass VI need a friend 👀
@@Zainmhz hahaha my thoughts exactly
Bro, this is fantastic. Well done!
Thanks a ton!
Sick man! Skeletonwich is one of my favourite thrash/black bands ever, and they're in E standard. So articulate.
not very familiar with thrash stuff, will check em out!
@@Zainmhzdude they slay. Check out Of Ash and Torment. That whole album, Forever Abomination, is amazing. Super melodic. They're really their own thing.
I've come back to this channel bcs I have a crush on the cort kx307 for a while now.
Ok dude, I get it. You can djent in any tuning bruh you've proved your point. I'mma follow now man you talented asf 🙏🏻🔥
Thank you! Glad you came back
Oh my, how much modern influences I hear in here, track is pure awesomeness! Thx for sharing
Glad you like it!
Reminds me of how some of the heaviest riffs Opeth have ever done are in E standard. Insane what you can do with playing around with evil sounding chords and licks. Great vid!
Thanks! I’m not actively listen to Opeth, but all their songs are like some kind of journey
Doesn't matter if it djents, it sounds good
Glad you like it!
mannn great riffs and solos and it just sounds purely awesome!! great fecking work.
thanks a ton man!
I appreciate the meme, but I gotta say this is also incredibly well played.
Thank you so much!
this shit slaps and I would listen to a full album of this
Yoo thank you! Got only 2songs with this kind of vibes for now
Happy djent 😁
Happy vibess
more djent, more!!
the DJENTLEMEN demand more
@@Zainmhz Yes, brother, keep up the good work, you are the best!
fking goosebump 😲😲 on E standard lmao 🥲
back to the basic
This is absolutely amazing bro!!
Thanks a ton bro!
I would love a full album of e standard djent.
i have to get used to e standard first.
I didn't know djent could sound like this! Love it
Glad you like it!
a true guitar hero
far from a hero but thanks!
Bro brought a spoon to a gunfight and still won
lol that's funny parable
This video deserves more views, great job man 🤘🏽
Edit:
It kinda sounds like a blend of djent and math rock
Thanks a ton man! i think i accidently wrote math rock djent
Great song man. People realizing we had bass all along to fill that frequency range in the mix and drop A might not be essential after all to be heavy. :P
Thanks! Justice for bassist
Southern djent.
Dope.
got that twang
An axe is only as dangerous as the person wielding it. This song is proof of it
and this is my "axe"
those outro riffs made my face melt into a lemon 😭😭
If life gives you this song, be a lemon
The riffs at 2:23 and 2:36. Dayum.
octaver hits different
Had to sub because of this banger
thank you! i really appreciate it!
I love Teles, I love this song. Great job! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
thanks! this is my first time playing tele and it got me inspired instantly!
Sound tight yo! nice. Andrew Virrueta from Interloper recently dropped a death metal riff in E standard and also sounds heavy af.
Thank you so much! Sounds hype, will check em out
Djent is not in low tunings. Djent in our hearts!
And Djent is not a genre, it’s a lifestyle
It reminds Protest The Hero
yeah! other comments mentioned that also
@Zainmhz one of my favorite bands
This slaps so hard, reminds me of some of the odious works
thanks man! never heard of them, will check em out!
Наконец-то, тяжёлая музыка, которую приятно слушать, и где ноты не сливаются в кашу.
спасибо! иногда нам нужно настроиться на более высокий тон
PLEASE PUT THIS ON SPOTIFY
Its coming!
With the right tone/amp or settings, I think any Tele can djent. This is sick af btw
thanks man! and it definitely is
Sick tune and awesome playing! My Squier Jazzmaster with single coils pulls metal well in E standard and Drop D. I love that thing. I play it more than my more "metal" guitars (I also have a couple Ibanez's and a Schecter) Lol 🤘
Thanks a ton! I borrowed my friends squier jazzmaster with a p90 while back for a cover, and the tone is something else on a high gain
Sounds awesome! My favorite example of extremely heavy music in standard tuning has to be The Dillinger Escape Plan, honestly I couldn’t believe it was in standard until I tried learning some of their songs
The Dillinger Escape Plan changed the game forever for the scene
Yup, it doesn't djent.
yes
😂
jadi makin mantep pgn nambah tele, kerennn bgt banggg🔥🔥🔥
makasih bang!
Really nice work, got me inspired ❤
thank you and Happy to hear that!
Further proof it’s not so much the guitar or the gear. It’s the player 👍🏻 I regularly use a player plus Tele with noiseless singles for some pretty heavy work. It’s actually one of my favorites. The neck fits my hand better than any other guitar in my collection.
This is my first time got my hands on a tele, and it got me inspired immediately. I don’t know how to explain it
Great playing, man. I liked the movement of the video (how did you do that?) it gave a sense of tension.
thanks man! it some kind of camera shake preset on adobe premiere
Telecaster is the swiss army knife of guitars
its versatility is astonishing
Nice!
Thanks!
In my opinion, this is the best implementation of mixolydian so far.
Okay this is new, might check this one out
Finally, normal music.
normal, at last
The standard tuning makes it sound like rock djent. Which I’m all for.
glad you like it!
Similar to the "I built the sky", pretty cool song!
thank you so much!
nice riffz :)
Thanks!
Reminds me of Incubus (see "Crowded Elevator") done from the perspective of Periphery, which rules in my book.
oh yeah someone mentioned that in a comment too!
🔥
🙌🙌
Some of the melodies remind me of Smashing Pumpkins. Amazing!
thank you!
Siiiiiiiiiick.
I need to get somewhere near your level! You are absolutely a shred machine, and your composition is sick.
I have a starcaster in drop g#, a dinky 8 in eaeadgbe flat, and my toby.
Thanks a ton! You can do it!
Awesome dude. New subscriber ✌🏻
Thanks for the sub!
This would sound EPIC AF in C# standard
@@The73rdSecret i did wrote a song on C# similar to this vibe, its 2 vids before this on my channel
@@Zainmhz gonna check it out! Thanks
Nice
Thanks!
This is sick, great freaking riffs
Thank you so much!!
Dillinger Escape Plan plays in standard. So intense and heavy. As well as Psyopus
Pretty familiar with dilinger stuff, bangers. But not psyopus, might check them out
Ayeeee fucking get it!
Yeeaa matee!
Oh, that's just sick and tasty! 🤩
Thank you!
Much better than super low guitars
some bright refreshment among those sub bass frequencies
Karnivool vibes! Tore me a new one, this is rad
karnivool got great tunes!
Yes dude. So sick 🔥🔥🔥
Yo thanks dude!
this is goddamn fire and TIGHT man
thank you so much man!
nice one!
Thanks!
thats insane!@!@!@@
Thank you!
