Man. the youtube algorithim works in mysterious ways, this video was showing up in my feed multiple times. Glad i clicked it! thanks for sharing the bumpy departure.
When the pilots hold the brakes, go full power for a few seconds then release them as the aircraft launches off like a rocket is the best feeling. I wonder if its because of a short runway or noise abatement procedures at this airport.
Elevation, temperature, runway length, and a "lack of power" due to hot and heavy conditions. Pretty typical for a CRJ-200, still a nice and smooth departure.
Love that static takeoff--revving up the engines, brakes released, must've been a pleasant push into your seat! HUGE terminal! :) How full was the flight? Did you do an 'out and back' trip? Really surprised that Prescott and the surrounding area can support flights such as this
Yeah I was wondering that myself, especially since the Embry Riddle planes were taking off the other way. Only thing I can think of is maybe it was for shorter taxi time (since we were late leaving). Don't know, but it sure made for a fun takeoff!
@@TripleAAAviation I noticed there is a lot of construction on taxiways..maybe a factor. Great video, thanks for posting! I believe you posted a DEN-PRC segment too. I have to laugh though, the video comes out great, but when you fly on the RJ-200 it's impossible to see out the windows since they are so low...a problem they fixed on the 700/900 series! :)
@@TripleAAAviation Runway 3R is ever so slightly downhill, apparently on hot days when the aircraft weight is on the heavy side, the runway grade is more important than the tailwind. Makes for some challenges when traffic is landing 21L.

It is nice to have United flight out of Prescott to Denver and Los Angeles. New terminal is being built next to the old terminal. Awesome video!
Static takeoff...with what looks like a pretty strong tailwind.(flag on lineup)
7:31 f**k yeah! This engine stuff is awesome man!

I think it has to do with the runway's length and elevation, but I'm not sure

Awesome A Pitched Motor!!
why do backseat engine planes sound so good?
I don't know but I love it!

The flight was pretty full. And yes, this was just a quick Labor Day weekend trip to Colorado
Jason Moors standard short field takeoff technique
ZIPPER 7600 feet runway, high altitude (5000’), and most likely pretty hot as well, as it was still summer technically. So, yeh, that all ads up.
It really is a captivating noise and somewhat pleasing.
@@stellargenius3591 the Air force A10 warthog has these same engines.
This looks a lot like Kearney Regional in Nebraska. Great video, thanks for posting.
Thanks!
I live in Prescott Valley. Nice airport for Prescott being a small city
Must’ve been a pretty warm day for a static.
Wow, I never knew Prescott had service to Denver and to LA until I saw your video. I'm surprised they don't have flights to Phoenix.
They just started the service
It just started on August 29th I think
Yep, the possibility of a carrier, such as United, has been a pretty big deal in Prescott
Great video!
Thank you!
TripleAAAviation you’re welcome and I like sound of the engines as well. 😊
Looks like he took off in a tail wind looking at the flag 😮😮😮
excellent video quality
Thanks!
I wish United would do direct flights from Prescott to San Francisco!
At least they got LA! I know UA has been looking at starting FLG-SFO.
Nicely done! I live in Denver.
Thank you! I had a great visit to Denver - very cool city.
Great video of the takeoff from Prescott.
Thanks!
I know that Alaska/Horizon used to fly to Prescott from LAX.
What was your destination?
nice video
Thanks!
Yeah im flying yhe united er175 to iad in july if virus goes away
Why are you taking off downwind?? Is there noise abatement and can't takeoff over the city??
Yeah I was wondering that myself, especially since the Embry Riddle planes were taking off the other way. Only thing I can think of is maybe it was for shorter taxi time (since we were late leaving). Don't know, but it sure made for a fun takeoff!
I was thinking they were using a lot of runway. Totally forgot it was downwind. Still looked like a great takeoff. Thanks for sharing!

@@Desertkid2000 Yeah the window placement on the CRJ200 really does suck. But I still like flying on them.

Crj200 engine = A-10 engine
It's an airplane
