Hey everyone, the best ideas that I have had was by using the Micaden survive system (i found it on google) without a doubt the most helpful survival i've tried.
David King if you knew what we do you'd go off grid too and accept Jesus Christ. Research why were detaching from the world, the Matrix is real, Satan has inverted the Bible so everything we do is serving him unknowingly. You have ask yourself with all the power, money and admiration in the world, what drives them to destroy food sources, poison us at every opportunity and inundate the world with the most harmful things to our humanity and survival. God said do not follow the masses, the hearts of men are sinful by nature. Discernment is important to every Christian or you'll be deceived and we get no reprieve, he sent a guide ie., The Bible. If someone claims to be awake in the world yet they still don't believe in Jesus Christ, they're still deceived and not as informed as they claim. The evil elite who decide your very existence believe wholeheartedly in God, they've chosen Satan and this fleshly life, they're sociopaths drunk with power and controlled by Demons. There is nothing new under the Sun, ppl just have to wake up to all the evidence around them plaguing there life daily. Get your children out of the educational system, it's MKULTRA mind control psyops. The Earth is flat ppl with a Firmament dome, your lives are lies and toiling away in the system like mindless sheep to the slaughter is not happiness...God bless
Your young..which is great, because you can begin now to save and be smart about your future plans. Thats a advantage! Planning makes things possible. You sacrifice now so you can be free later!! Its a plan worth implementing!
Right, I hear ya. I'd like to work and live with a off grider for awhile, just so I can get good practice, and experience , before I fully commit to living like this. You are awesome though! We need more ppl like you and this country would be better off.
Thanks Drew and God Bless. You need to go to a area where there are lot of off griders. Here in the pan handle we have alot alot of people off the grid. Take a vacation..go camping..and then explore..we met people who re off grid all the time when we are hiking biking ect in this area all willing to share what they know and how they live...good luck!!
Thank you and God bless you too. How many years of prepping And saving funds to be able to set something up like y'all have ? Thanks for responding and the info!
That's a loaded question BECAUSE if you are stating off early in life you can put a lot of time and energy into this endeavor. The sooner you get started with this the better you will be. See, we already lived a kind of off grid lifestyle to begin with. We were connected to the grid but we lived pretty independently and basic.THe real holdup from true freedom was the state..lots of taxes and lots of regulations. The taxes as you live and work hard will only DRAIN you. We didn't like paying so much property taxes..here you work hard to build a home, then you gotta pay thousands to keep it?? And then you have to follow their rules to live in it? Even the recreation, everywhere we would go, trail pass for this, fee for that. ..Anywa.we always saved and invested, and as our lives developed and we saw these things, we became more committed to leaving the state and finding a location where we could be happy and live more freely without government involvement and taxes and fees and regulations ! So number one ..FIND the land first. SAVe your money for the land! when you find the land buy it! LOCATION TAXES FREEDOM you need to make that list because your homestead off grid is all about disconnecting to all of the stuff that enslaves us! Every pay check take out a chunk and don't touch it. Stop buying wasteful crap..people nickel and dime themselves every time they go to a gas station or a store. Five bucks here, ten bucks there. you will be surprised how easy it is to save....and when you do..its empowering!! HOPE that little tid bit helps..WE ARE g oing to do a video about this very subject so STAY TUNED!!!!
if you want this lifestyle. work hard from 20 to 35/40 and save as $ much as you can (400k +) buy land n build your house while working still. invest your money in safe stocks mainly n live off the interest. as close to free as can be by 40.
Blessings from WI! I just found your page and love it already. My husband works full time but I run a 35 member CSA and pastured meats small farm. We do not own our please we lease. It has been pressing on us to Not by this house and land and simply by 10 to 20 acres somewhere else and build from scratch. We Homestead now, I am 90% self reliant with year round food production for our family. Aside for the octagonal need for a banana or avocado we buy no food products from the store. Not even dries beans or flower. We have very basic diet of fruits veggies and pastured meat. I have got really good at having a 3 year supply in my house at all times. The CSA pays for much of the Farming expenses such as seeds and seeders my tiller and my pony. We don't want to be mechanized so we use a stocky pony to pull all our compost, manure, logs and even plow snow. The house we lease is a three bedroom old WI dairy home. We would really like something smaller and to be off grid. As we press in and pray for the Lord to show us to buy this or move on, it will be great to watch your adventures. Blessings
You are an inspiration. I am in the early stages of planning but am making headway on a regular basis. Idaho looks like a great place to go off grid. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Blessings!!!!
I mostly love how you added scriptures, especially about money. Material things arent important, they weigh people down.Money should be used to purchase necessities as what you're doing. I finally got "out of debt" then had to visit the E.R so now i stress over this $2000.00 bill i've accumulated and no way to pay. You have the "Ideal" lifestyle i dream of living.I'm so "jealous" !! If you ever want company or a helper to garden or build keep me in mind. My eldest son 35 in a law firm in Pasadena, my other son 28 working in the Emergency Room, both married but no grandchildren so i can come any time...lol...Will work for food " !! What a wonderful life..Agape Love from Oregon. DeeDee
Jesica Walker Well we would be glad to elaborate a little more..you can always message me and I am always open to help others. A lot of my videos should help, but we are here always to go into more details. What area are you from and are you looking at completely off grid or just a homestead in amore rural area?? Let me know!:)
Askmomchannel. We did not read that book. We actually did a lot of research online looking for particulars like weather, growing season, ability to live off of solar or wind, natural disasters, population, crime, ect..then we drove out and stayed. We did it the old fashion way in a wall tent going to the grocery store, the local places, library, laundry matts, ect. All this helps you get a flavor of the community and the people.
Starry Hilder Beautiful. Also the entire cost of living is greatly reduced if you do things right. We must empower through knowledge- I was going to strongly suggest that you look into making a greenhouse. There are all kinds of ways you can grow things etc. You can even heat using compost. Grow fish and plants in the same place. And it can become a 7 day a week 365 days a year source of nutrition. That also will disconnect and improve health. You know what you are growing is the best. There are also these micro-greens you can grow on flat trays and they constantly produce super dense nutrition for you and your family. Think about it compared to how it was in the 80s or 70s; we can have every form of entertainment and learn multiple degrees at our own pace all on one little computer- travel the world over and have friends in every single nation all on one little computer system. Take free courses at universities(MIT has great free courses- the classes were all video taped and you can just sit in as if you are a student- buy the book or get a free similar book or other source by researching the net)(many universities offer free courses) or design our own courses/curricula with the vast number of free books available. And then add in the fact that the electronics use far less power. We can have a fridge and the vastly more deluxe information, education and interconnection with our brothers and sisters in Christ throughout the world all fed off of one solar panel and or one windmill. Lugging books during the moving process is a thing of the past(although I still like paper books). BTW I think you are best off having multiple energy sources wind and solar. There are all kinds of ways of doing things. One man took one side of his slanted roof house in New Jersey and put some solar panels. With this and some innovative applications he was able to provide 100% of his energy needs in a well heated and cooled house and a hydrogen fuel cell car(100% of car energy too). He stored his electrical power in the form of hydrogen in many 40 gallon tanks in a part of his yard. Thus, using innovation, he was able to make electricity and efficiently convert it to hydrogen for storage that doesn't degrade over time and then turn the hydrogen back into electricity with little or no loss. Everything from the one power source of one side of his roof. It's rather cold in Winter and hot in Summer there and he did it. Absolutely no reduction in quality of life. It cost him a hefty 50k but that included a super tech heating system and many other bits of advanced tech allowing him to live a multiple extra large tv panels and full size sub zero refrigerators etc etc life. And never again another power bill. I very much look forward to seeing more videos from you. I also encourage people to learn to fix their equipment. I have a high end fridge that I bought for just 100 bucks. Well it turned out that it was not working like they said it was, I was about to get many hundreds of dollars in repair bills. It was such a nice fridge it would have still been worth it. I investigated and ended up fixing it myself for 50 bucks. That is plus some of my time but now it's working like new.
thank you for your vast insight and knowledge.all your suggestions are well thought out and valuable...i think YOU need t do some videos and share more..do you have a channel? If not you need to think about getting one and showing us all these awesome ideas so we can put them to use!! God Bless and thanks for taking the time out to share!!
Monroe Madison a 30 year mortgage means nothing. You can pay them off in 5 or 10 years if you want. It's the safest to get a 30 year just in case you run into hard times....monthly payments are low. I paid my 30 year off in 11 years with no prepayment penality
Starry Hilder Please donate to stop this!! www.gofundme.com/IllegalLandGrab People are being threatened with lethal violence, arrest, and illegal eviction from their property under the guise of *_"Public Safety"_*... This is little more than an illegal land grab that harms Land, and property owners for daring to not use government utilities! Bottom line... If these laws are truly enacted for our *_"Safety"_*; Then why are people being threatened with *_LETHAL-FORCE_* for having rain-water purification system, or solar panels. If you can't donate much *_(Like Me)_*; then please share this on FaceBook to help people like www.gofundme.com/tylertruitt fight back against the government.

thanks for sharing all this very important information. you guys are the best.love your videos & all the input you offer for free.I thank you again. God bless
+George rosado YES yes practical solutions for practical living...we make things out as if that arent obtainable. LETS sit down and think about it..then make it happen..right!!! Gla you liked it!!
I'm planning to live in a van off the grid..for atleast 5 years..I'm saving up with a friend..eventually I want to build a cabin and settle down with a family in Alaska..
barcasimple, spent all of 51 at Indian Mt. Alaska. 58 below once! Go up and spend a few days before you commit. Down around Homer might not be too bad just don't go off half cocked!
Looks like I made some really good decisions in the last year getting ready to homestead and prep. Talk about stumbling onto a great channel with good information and scripture to help out as well. Really liking your insight.
I've been watching your videos and I wanna say that I love your practical approach and no nonsense, down-to-earth way you convey your videos I guess it feels kinda of homie, if you will. But most of all your spiritual relationship makes me want to stay tuned to you guys progress. Anyway, great content and God Bless!
Monte Blackwell Well God Bless you for sharing that! How wonderful! We do have a practical approach...we are truly living the life and walking the walk in all aspects. We love to provide good information to help those who are serious about this type of lifestyle...and for those who are curious. We noticed many channels with information but the people werent even living off the grid..or they lived in the city and had a off grid cabin! As viewers once ourselves it was hard to find REAL people! Who really were homesteading..really living off the grid. So as soon as we got up and running we knew we had to share!! Thank you so much for stopping by!! And I am so glad you see that spiritual relationship..SO important as you know!! God Bless
AMEN! I do not live off grid but my wife and I are debt free. We farm and have off the farm income also. We have seen many people move to country and grow gardens, raise chickens, goats, hogs, cows and GO BROKE! They do not understand the cost of doing that. Tractors , good fencing, feeders ,waters , canning supplies, log splitters, sheds. These poor souls want to do it all right away and do not also understand all the work involved. They think it is going to fun and it can be but they do not understand animals always have to be feed, gardens have to be maintained and taking a vacation can be a big challenger. Some of them have drove my wife and I crazy with with being ask to feed the livestock when they are going to be gone, fix there equipment when it is broke down. We always get asked when we are all hands on deck for our farm.
Sarah Scott Well welcome..we love new people! And im always so happy you find the information good!! We try so hard to give real advice...from what we went thru! Thank you and dont forget to check out my website blog to!!
I've finally realized that my greatest asset in this world is my insolvency. Hell, the more I beg, borrow, and buy on margin, the more "successful" I am deemed in this @#$%ed-up system. That's just contrary in every regard, and I don't want any part of it anymore. Thanks for these great videos.
Gypsy Free You got the right idea! Credit cards can be such a trap. We use ours for purchases and pay off right away in full..BUT the reason why we use the credit card is we get points that add up for free cash!!! So a smart person IF you know how to use a credit card the right way..can make money using one!! Good job at almost being there..yipeeee
Thanks for sharing, I have learned some great things from this video. I loved that you have used Bible verses throughout your video, it really reminds me that God doesn't want for us to be in debt.
Fight For .Freedom Thank you so much!! I try really hard to share our common sense and live and learn approach so others can cut to the chase and get on with it! We have learned so much and h ave also grown in our faith..so thanks you for your kind words! And God (Yahwah) bless you and your family
+Starry Hilder Hey no prob, I do the same and share information all the time with friends and family and sometimes strangers if opportunity arises. I love your little piece of heaven you've carved out for yourselves, God's country there for sure! It's a dream of mine to, one day be debt free and off grid. I have my home up for sale, and even though I live in cottage country and have lots of water with the lake in case, it's still too close to the city for my liking, plus a nosy neighbor too ..lol So I have been looking for that perfect piece of land, and researching compost toilets, and very seriously considering building with sea cans, the designs are endless. Anyway, thanks for the reply, like your vids very much and hope to see more, Yahwah Bless!
I live in the UK , always some kind of Tax to pay , I did read somewhere that in Alaska there are no property or land taxes once you move into the wilderness
21jg130 I know alot of people from around here who have either lived in Alaska or are moving to. Its a brutal place to live when it c omes to the weather...thats th real drawback. Yes its wilderness but the cost is pretty high to be left alone. Really not for me. But people do venture there. I believe Alaska residents DO pay taxes..property taxes."here are over 90,000 Real Property parcels within the Municipality of Anchorage, covering over 1,900 square miles of land. In tax year 2014, the Tax Section mailed out over 104,000 tax bills and collected approximately $447,000,000 on behalf of General Government and the Anchorage School District." Thats just Anchorage. In the USa you cannot escape taxes. BUT what yuo can do is what we did ..research and try to ind a place that has LESS...a lower tax bracket. State to state taxes are different..
Stead fast therefore in the liberty wherewithal Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Gal 5:1. You have given words of wisdom Miss Starry
Thanks for sharing your video with tips and tricks for preparing a life lived off the grid. It would be nice to see a video of your property, and the different types of green energy sources you purchased with your hard earned savings. Happy travels!
Debt Free Slave Free? Try not paying your property taxes and see if you are still free. Even if you own your property, you don't really own it. The government can take it any time they want.
In Kansas they can't take your homestead. There are 5 homestead states... Florida, Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Oregon ,But you still have the taxes.
Hi there, I do like what Starry said but its just something we have to put up with in this great nation of ours. We have things like eminent domain where you can have a house and property and the city you live in wants to widen your road or put in a freeway. They make all the people in the project area an offer. Legally they are in their rights to condemn your perfectly good house or sue you to get you out. The tax thing is true as well. Federal and local government take taxes very seriously. Lets say your family homesteaded your house and property and it's been in the family for over 100 years. You still have to pay what ever the assessed property tax is every year even though your family has owned it outright for over a century and you owe no money on it. Don't pay the tax and they can come in and seise your property. We are fooled into thinking we own anything when in fact its an illusion. There is a family next to groom lake nevada who just lost the case against the federal government because they were the only privately owned land next to Area 51. The government has been trying to get rid of them for years even though it's been owned by the family for generations. The government finally won and they have to go. I have a good friend who is a recent widow. Her and her husband owned a small house on the river. It is paid off and they don't owe anything on the house for a long time. The city keeps assessing their property higher and higher each year because it's "water front property" and now she has to sell and move because she can't afford the annual property tax. It's a price we pay to live in this great nation sadly.
no one can force you to pay a debt. for instance, if you get a bank loan with interest, there is no actual debt ; there is only a promise to pay. that payment is measured in labor. money is just a piece of paper , a promissory note, an I owe you. let's say I have a $20 bill, that means somebody owes me in either labor or Goods. using that promissory note in exchange for a product I am exchanging debt. now someone else is owed in labor or products. you should always invest your labor for your own sustainability, and not for the interests of the bank. you can spend an hour of your time raising a tomato plant that will pay you in food. knowledge has unlimited value. when you become dependent on something else or someone else comma that's something or someone will determine the value of your labor. the more that you have , someone else can give you the minimum value while you give them the most labor. the minimum wage of a state is just like saying this is the value of one slave hour. I'll give you this meal for the rights to a slave for 1 hour. now that I have the right to a slave for an hour, I need to find a person willing to Labor in exchange or someone willing to trade a product for the same entitlement. if you put your hard work into your own sustainability, you will profit and have everything
Mark it sure a great place to live... We did alot of research before we came. Looked at weather, recreation, hunting, taxes, building codes, government..it all seemed to be right. Even our neighbors up the road who are off grid..they sold everything from california and without even coming here to visit..they moved site unseen.. JUST read about the area and saw the stats! You are lucky to have been here all your life. Its a specially blessed place
love your videos. my daughter and i are not off grid but we are working toward it. we have purchased land and are living on it. We do have 2 ponds, 2 deep good wells and our land backs up to a national forest. the down side is the old store she and the kids live in and my small cabin are way to close to the county road we front on. however, it was the best we could do. we have 32 acres with a bank loan. that one debt is all I have. She shares that debt with me and she has a truck payment (not a new one). We still must work toward solar and wind power. We are learning better garden methods and which ones we are better at. We have chickens, ducks and geese. We too think time is short. You encourage me and assure me we are not alone. thanks!
Martha Shipman Wow now thats impressive!! Good for you guys! And remember getting that perfect piece of property with EVERYTHING 100% perfect is near imposbble. so you learn to ADAPT! You have accepted the county road..great! At least its not a HWY! At least its county and its maintained...good bonus!! Those are way you need to look at it! Your empowering your self by by-being more self sustaining and you have what sounds like a priceless setup wi the e ponds and well!! WE must face reality with the bank loan..THAT'S life..but you HAVE the land..you have the right piece..SO what ..pay the bank...use their money to get you setup! And we all need vehicles...just be smart about it and get it paid off soon! Any extra money GET that solar setup! I have a great solar MYTH video coming up that might help you two as well!! Thanks for sharing your story. You are doing AWESOMEEEEEE
raymond noya So glad we could help!! Always looking just to share as much as we can so people get a idea of what a off grid homestead is like. no frills, no hype..just plain old us!
Hey Starry, thanks for taking us along on your trek. Living off-grid is very appealing to me but unfortunately my wife doesn't see the appeal. Still I found your story appealing.
Sandra Leal AWESOME I love love new subscribers! Welcome to our channel..and yes we have lots of videos and always more to come. Trying so hard to give people good practical info and real info!! We walk the walk and talk the talk..no hype..!! God Bless you and glad your here!!
I know you said you are in Idaho due to low overhead, did you research other states also. The bulk of my family is on the east coast and I am thinking of homesteading in Georgia. I will research those costs first. Great info thanks.
+Almon Jacob the main reasons were a combination of things.... living in a mountain region with low population, great hunting, and other outdoor adventures, mild winter, less regulations, lower taxes. less summer humidity and minimal bugs during summer were also on the list but lower on the list. its the combinations of things that lead to the choice. we had vacationed out west for yrs so we had a pretty good clue of the foundational requirements we wanted, thanks for watching...Mr.H
I think it's great that you are applying scripture. My goal is to live off grid in Providence Rhode. 100% electric and no use for natural gas. I have done about four months of research on solar technology and its application. I own( I have a mortgage ) 3 family building with 9 bedrooms and five bathrooms in all.
Entrepreneur Creator Good that your ding the research. I did the same thing before we unplugged. Read volumes a bout solar power batteries, ect. Funny though..all the reading in the world couldn't replace the real live stuff! Keep researching and watch lots of you tube vidoes. Your area may present different challenges to so bear that in m ind!! God Bless and glad you like the scripture!
One is none!! Been buyin 2 for years. It also works great when you donate--just double it--your reward will always go 10 fold--when you believe it, you'll see it. Great vid. Thanks. Jb.
build a windmill and greenhouse you can take seed out all the pepper and plant them in green house use a old washmachine make watermill if you got a river near you you can learn a lot from the tube,
john ross Sorbie Great idea but we did already have a wind turbine ad it failed because we don't have enough wind:( BUT we will be doing something about that greenhouse idea soon!! Love the watermill idea to..thought about hydro also but for now we seem to have enough juice! BUT great advice! thank you and God Bless
I just found your video channel the other day. I wonder if you would mind if I asked you a question about going off-grid. If you were to look back, just off the top of your head, what do you think would be the minimum amount of money someone would need to find, buy and set up an off-grid situation sustainably, and how much capital or income would they need to keep going - paying taxes, utilities, doctor bills/insurance? What percentage of that would you devote to land? Would you stay where you were, relocate farther from an urban center, relocate closer to an urban center. Would you have more people or less people or the same number of people around if you had your choice. Do you feel safe and secure living this way? That's probably a lot to throw out there ... whatever you think. Thanks.
Right On The Money Starry .. I Have Don The Same Thing , Only Now Have To Move Back To The Mountains Of British Columbia ... Actually ,Not To Far Away From Where You and Mr. Hilder Live Right Now ...
Pople BackyardFarm Yes it is indeed. We realize how hard it is to get to that achieved spot. We worked hard our whole lives both e and my husband. He started off dirt poor, hunting to feed himself, trapping to survive. One summer he was homeless and had to live in a doll house!! No lie! So we have been there and our story is real! And we are debt free. I think people have lots of wants...and they just don't want to give up some of those wants. Then they end u p in financial turmoil because of those wants. It is a simple equation. EVEN with kids. We make too many excuses why we cant save money. Do we all have to keep up with the Jones?? If so, then don't complain a bout how hard it is to survive and stay afloat. Anyway you probably didnt want to hear the whole speech..but Im gald your watching and learning!!
Hello:) I just found your channel, and I really like it! Just started my garden ( the old way ) but I have more seed germinating, when they are ready I'm going to try this method!!! Okay so, I'm wondering when your homesteading,, do you work at all? Because I'm assuming there are still some things that have to be bought?? So how do you make money? Also what do you do with all that extra produce?
Beautiful forrest. Reminds me from where I came, northern part of Sweden. Sounds like you have gone in the right direction. I hear a lot of bad things about America, I am glad there are some sane areas there also. You are on the right track and if you dont run into evil people you will be doing great in the future.
gamingSlasher Sweden? Thats incredible!! Are you still in Sweden? It is to bad about America. We are not going in the right direction and have lost our way for a long long time. I am blessed that God gave me the opportunity to find this homestead secluded in the mountains living happily and as free as we can. We have good people here, great fellowship, and it is indeed very special. But again evil is in the hearts of many. The Word of God already has spoke of this so I am not surprised. Its just sad to see how many people have lost their way and dont care about anyone but themselves....sad
When faced with Cougar , make cougar burgers?Nice vid Starry, I am in the process of moving to florida from a northern big city for the same reason as you. This is my first time watching your video . I will check out some more .
I love the verses you share. And your focus on what's "best". Not our will but His. Jesus Christ. Thanks for sharing. We are starting know to pray and plan.
Offgrid Farmsteaders Jeewhiz your the first person who noticed!! HAHA! In town here because its so small people actually know me more because of my dreads! guess they haven't seen to many in these neck of the woods! When I work at the hospital every now and then I will have a old lady comment and say "What do you call those things she has in her hair??" BUT NOT one person has EVER ever been negative towards me because of my hair! That's a big thing because back in Wisconsin I WAS discriminated against because of my hair if you can believe that!!!!
Thankyou cajun! I think when advice comes from actually living it and doing it..theres something to be said for it. We have always lived unconventionally and knew we didnt want any debt holding us back. WE also didnt have material needs like most Americans either. No new cars to show off, no snowmobiles or fancy boats. We did purchase our racing equipment, like skis and running shoes and bikes, but we always paid cash when we had the cash. NO credit card debt ever ever ever!! We were blessed since we didnt have kids to worry about so we could live frugally and only worry about our future. I think part of getting out of debt and living debt free is having restraint! I think we live in a society where its all about the toys, all about what the neighbors have and you gotta have it to. We never fell pray to that. We didnt spend money on eating out because i loved to cook. We didnt spend money on brand name cloths because i liked goodwill and didnt feel i needed to look like some fashion model. Even stuff like not buying all that fancy hair stuff and cosmetics and shoes and jewelry...it all adds up. none of that for me! Now we are living our dream and enslaved to no one! Simple simple thinking..simple simple advice! Thank you so much for watching and commenting!!
Nice video. My husband is 23 years older than me, and will retire in 2024. We have decided that we will move us and the kids to Idaho once he retires. We're working on the debt now, so we can start saving and buy property before he retires.
WINWITHunWIN One step at a time..but might want to keep you eyes open for property now. People are really waking up and have been coming to places like Idaho now. The atmosphere in The US and the world is accelerating so so fast. Prepare at h ome..get debt free..but keep your eyes open...you don't want to miss the boat!
Starry Hilder ain't cash and carry and Costco great for toilet paper and other bulk? Or do you have other sources you would like to share? We are debt free on a fixed income due to me getting us out of debt. But living semi-offgrid...conserving and consolidating as much as possible, supplementing our food when needed that we can't grow or hunt/fish.
William...awesome!I like to remind people that you dont have to be completely off grid to live a more free lifestyle. I think some believe they have to get completely unplugged to live that dream. Although it is great, it may not be achievable fo rmany. So I say start today but making small changes. YES buying in bulk at costco is awesome. I actually found a real good deal on amazon for my toilet paper. Cheaper then costco. I got a CASE of toilet paper 80 rolls for FIFETEEN dollars!! The original price is 56. BUT they had a deal if you apply for their credit card you get a 40$ gift card! So I applied, got the deal, paid the card off and now never use the card again! I always look for deals like this! Nice to see you are out of debt...rest easy at night!!
Sounds like an accountant moving into the wilderness? I'm a few years away but would like to make the same move. Interesting point about lack of building permits and regulations. It sounds nice but I'm drawn towards the great lakes because of the abundance of water. Is my thinking flawed?
GUILLERMO61 Working on that..as a nurse I ask my husband about these things...hauling wood..cutting wood..taking the compost bucket out, plowing the long driveway..... ect...he says he's not gonna get old! HA! Not sure but I think about it and until he realizes these things will get harder as we age...Im kinda stuck with no answer
Starry Hilder from my experience if you keep moving your body, working etc. it is far better than doing nothing. Doing nothing will age you very fast. I was in good shape till I retired...then I started to fall apart
Howdy Starry, what do you have in acres ? Seems I went to a certain site to look at land....Idaho was pretty much bought. Well any other state get you two looking besides Idaho ?
Jim Cash. We have 13 acres//were lucky enough to f in it over 5 years ago. There is land for sale still around here..but it depends on your price range. Realistically I tell people..land and houses cost money. However you are investing in your future. You could spend 300k on a house in the city that is totally dependent and crippled by that dependency if anything happens...on the other hand a 300k homestead off grid with a garden, its own water, farm animal..privacy, safety farm the populace is worth even more then what that 300k will ever be!! Its the life insurance policy. People forget to look it this that way....anyway. Other good redoubt property would be Utah Washington and Oregon! Good luck and keep us posted..oh and don't forget Montana! We have very close to the Montana border and go over there lots...so so many vacant pieces of land....but do your research..its a very beautiful..remote..like minded people in that area..but still has the regulations and stuff to deal with that can be frustrating
Oh.....I'm all for remote of the MANs BS. paper trail, and the you need this you need that ,in order to survive. All we need now is cars like the Jetsons......concrete is not soft on my eyes anymore . You two will live to see 90,as i will see 50. But I will continue to look in other areas. Mans got to do what a mans got to do. enjoy your updates...keep free folks. ;-)
One of the things you didn't cover with respect to living off grid, is the winter of heavy snow and plowing access to the road. For instance, you have to go to work. I'm moving to Idaho, but not off grid. One of the real positive things about off grid is that you become the master of your own environment, since you've created everything.
I am also debt free and LOVE it. We are very careful how we spend our money and am trying to sell things we don't use. Great video, love the bible verses.
Patti Raithel Thank you so much! I really believe God has it all right! He gives us instruction and advice from everything from money, to debt, to marriage, to working hard, to being lazy, you name it, His Word addresses it! Being debt free isn't just about not being enslaved anymore to the system..BUT being free from the bondage of sin! covetousness is such a big thing today...WE all want want want. Thanks for watching and good for you for being debt free
You're lucky having so much space in America, in the UK it's hard to find anywhere truly wild/rural where you can live off grid and get back to nature. Never mind the rules and regulations.
I got outta debt in 2008: BEST feeling; really contributes to one's realization that we are all born innately free. Thanx!
Awesome. This is what we need to teach our children, but instead we teach them to get burried in debt and spend their lives living in slavery.
AlCzervix So true.
Well, everyone is slave from the day they are born. No escape. Only way is not to bring them onto this planet.
So awesome to see you so open about your faith!! May the Lord continue to bless you just because you're not ashamed.
Great video! Such an interesting perspective on buying 2 of an item from the get go as replacements will only go up in price.
Putting God First in everything always works out. love your videos
a lot of christians are living off grid, and i can see why, this world is going nuts :(
*We of European Blood, are Pagans Originally.*
*We live among Nature, Harmony and Truth.*
*Despite the Violence inflicted on Our Ancestors, in order for them to be shepherded into a foreign religion of being controlled and conformity*
Ollie Plimsolls You gets it!
@@eyeswideshut2800 lol
I am 21. This is my dream to live self sufficient .
HOPE that little tid bit helps..WE ARE g oing to do a video about this very subject so STAY TUNED!!!!
if you want this lifestyle. work hard from 20 to 35/40 and save as $ much as you can (400k +)
buy land n build your house while working still.
invest your money in safe stocks mainly n live off the interest. as close to free as can be by 40.
My goal is 45. I will be off grid and free
Wow! Living off grid... everything you buy goes to you! Instead of paying everyone around you!
Blessings
It was very refreshing to hear you give credit to God looking out for you. I feel like a lot of people today take blessings for granted.
+Cody Green Never take my blessings for granted..HE IS MY PEACE!
Totally agree. Becoming debt free should be the first step. Great vid and info. Thanks for sharing.
Monroe Madison I'm sure they don't but it doesn't keep me up at night.
Your comments go right back to the old saying: Two is one and one is none!
GREAT ADVICE!
Bruce Forster Yessirrr!!! WE live by it!
Thanks for helping others with your thoughts, not all people can not share.
You are an inspiration. I am in the early stages of planning but am making headway on a regular basis. Idaho looks like a great place to go off grid. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Blessings!!!!
Sheryl Graham Your welcome dear! and God bless you to!!
DeeDee
I am very new at this, and I love hearing how to go about when you are first starting. Thanks

People are being threatened with lethal violence, arrest, and illegal

is little more than an illegal land grab that harms Land, and property

Doing the best you can in the type of world we live in today! Love love LOVE it!! Thank you so much for sharing Starry!! God Bless!
Good points! Buy like "Two is one, one is none". Makes sense.
I'm planning to live in a van off the grid..for atleast 5 years..I'm saving up with a friend..eventually I want to build a cabin and settle down with a family in Alaska..
blessings sent.
barcasimple, spent all of 51 at Indian Mt. Alaska. 58 below once! Go up and spend a few days before you commit. Down around Homer might not be too bad just don't go off half cocked!
barcasimple buy a rifle or a shotgun first bears and moose won't accept you with friendly manner
WOW, HOW INSPIRATIONAL !!! AND LOOK HOW MUCH THE DOG OR DOGS LOVE RUNNING AROUND THERE AND BEING FREE !!!!!!!!!!!!
Looks like I made some really good decisions in the last year getting ready to homestead and prep. Talk about stumbling onto a great channel with good information and scripture to help out as well. Really liking your insight.
I was just thinking the same... We are working on the debt thing but, every step brings is that much closer to our goal. Loving this channel!
God Bless
This is great information! I am very glad we found your channel! :)
Thank you so much Starry.
why so much fear...perfect love casts out fear...
We always get asked when we are all hands on deck for our farm.
oh my so loved your video! Excellent inspired and grounded advice. I'm subscribing.
Sarah Scott Well welcome..we love new people! And im always so happy you find the information good!! We try so hard to give real advice...from what we went thru! Thank you and dont forget to check out my website blog to!!
everything you said is exactly what I am about to do. some people call me crazy, but this is PERFECT ADVICE!
I inherited a sizable piece of remote southern land. I plan on going off grid in a few years. Thanks for the videos!
Awesome advice! I am working right now towards being debt free. Have no credit cards and no mortgage. I am almost there!
Joseph Tirgoala Amen to that!! Any enslavement is BAD! Including debt!!!
The best advice I've heard in a long time! ..and congratulations on your move and new life, may Yahwah keep blessing you and your family!
You guys did a great job. I have a few more year to go but it is a start to go off grid.
Well done!!! Congratulations awesome life you have!!!
TheSilvaFamily Uncut All from Gods own hands! We are truly blessed! Thank you so much for your compliment!! God Bless your family!
You are very welcome! God Bless you too... Off the grid is truly a dream!
VERY INFORMATIVE. THANKS!
Stead fast therefore in the liberty wherewithal Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Gal 5:1. You have given words of wisdom Miss Starry
God Bless you Connie! If all people only knew the freedom we have in Christ!! He has been preparing us well.
Excellent advice. Thank you.
Thanks for sharing your video with tips and tricks for preparing a life lived off the grid. It would be nice to see a video of your property, and the different types of green energy sources you purchased with your hard earned savings. Happy travels!
We'll be moving to Sandpoint, Bonner County soon...hope to see you all around.
i love your video, i am planning to live off the grid to ,thanks for all your knowledge
Debt Free Slave Free? Try not paying your property taxes and see if you are still free. Even if you own your property, you don't really own it. The government can take it any time they want.
That is true technically, but she does bring up the very low property tax. They just live smart. They live a hell of a lot more free than you.

Very cool. We did things a little different but our goals are the same.
Living Idaho is a great place. I have lived here my whole life taxes used to be a lot lower. This is really a great place to be.
Learning a lot from your videos. Thx
raymond noya So glad we could help!!
Absolutely live your video. I am a new subscriber, and am excited to view all your videos! God bless!
Sandra Leal AWESOME I love love new subscribers! Welcome to our channel..and yes we have lots of videos and always more to come. Trying so hard to give people good practical info and real info!! We walk the walk and talk the talk..no hype..!! God Bless you and glad your here!!
ORGONE in the closing as the song.......NICE

Thank you!!!
thanks for all the great advice! Beautiful area
I'm all for it OTG and away from the city life.. great job. bob
I love the way you glorify God sister. Bless you ❤
I think it's great that you are applying scripture.
Great vid. Thanks. Jb.
Jb Bennett yes sir you got it!! thank you for the comment!
Its a fair point. I would like to be off grid. On the other-hand, I have no debt and cash in the bank.
build a windmill and greenhouse you can take seed out all the pepper and plant them in green house use a old washmachine make watermill if you got a river near you you can learn a lot from the tube,
john ross Sorbie Great idea but we did already have a wind turbine ad it failed because we don't have enough wind:( BUT we will be doing something about that greenhouse idea soon!! Love the watermill idea to..thought about hydro also but for now we seem to have enough juice! BUT great advice! thank you and God Bless
nice video . but where is that house from the beginning ???
Hilder Live Right Now ...
good video and some very good advice
maponicspro Thanks, soon we will be doing a more in depth one about getting debt free and how we were able to manage that so we could live this dream!
yes, being debt free is the way to go. - Ruthie
Awesome advice!!
***** Thank you!!
Also what do you do with all that extra produce?
very smart. i love your mighty hunting hound as well
Beautiful forrest.
The dogs are having a ball! lol
+68sunshine They have a good good life here!
Beautiful views!
Great video! I just enjoyed a crunchy cold beautiful walk with the dogs while lying in bed with a hot water bottle (and germs)!
Awesome advice! :)
thanx for your advice very helpful
We are looking at moving to the panhandle area soon. We definitely don't want to live in town but somewhere close to SP. Any suggestions?
+Steve M Call Chris Walsh...revolution reality...he has sold some of my YT viewers land and homes off the grid hes the real deal
you have dreads!!! i am getting dreads in April! I had them 2 years ago... i miss them ... :)
That's a big thing because back in Wisconsin I WAS discriminated against because of my hair if you can believe that!!!!
you give the best advice. thanks
I've always been interested in the idea. what is your plan for medical needs as you get older?
I just found y'all and love what yr doing I so want to do the same thing
Sorry, I can't share my thoughts! I'm being censored by YT! Like your thoughts! Blessings! Kris in WA
Living off grid is the best feeling ...live free or strugle to live like free
great video. Thank you
Great video Stacy! Your biblical references are right on! God bless you
Thankyou..God does a great job at making it easy!! haha
I want to live off the grid. Question, how about water? Do you depend on city water or city anything?
Sounds like an accountant moving into the wilderness? I'm a few years away but would like to make the same move. Interesting point about lack of building permits and regulations. It sounds nice but I'm drawn towards the great lakes because of the abundance of water. Is my thinking flawed?
Thanks for the vídeos. I just wonder what plans you have in place for when you advance in age into your 70's, 80's and God willing into your 90's?
Whats it like living off grid in idaho? Is it cheaper to buy there?
So proud of you for giving God the glory!!!
Paul H Boy thats to bad! I always thought the U.S had too many people and too many houses! Maybe its not so bad after all!!
