Hi yowww. i definetely relate with what u said. it seems so interesting how relevant and practical accounting is. it has always been my dream and the only course I like to take. I'm in 2nd year rn and i'm lately worried and anxious because altho i want this course i realized i'm not that constant in studying. this week i just finished 3 or 4 exams all from cramming and i swear i know i could do better if i just really studied. idk what's wrong with me. there might be smthng wrong with my self or my attitude all esp that im currently dealing with post withdrawal issues from an ssri or antidepressant. idk what to do anymore but i do rlly want to stay in this course NO MATTER WHAT. any words of advise? 😅😔🌼
Lots of accounters say that maths isnt a main skill needed for accounting, you dont have to be good at math as long as you can work with statistics, graphing ECT- but communication on the other hand is apparently very important? Im only 13 trying to learn about accounting- dont mind me 😅
I'm an accountant and I wasn't very good at maths. accounting is about logic and understanding what the numbers mean, instead of calculation processes.

I also suggest to you or anyone else to study the free resources on RUclips/online to get an understanding of the core concepts of the field you are inquiring about. To see how they feel to you as an individual. It makes a lot more sense when you know at least some of the systems (or policies): i.e. core accounting principles, terminology, and equations. Accounting professionals typically use Excel, niche accounting software, or calculators to do the math for them.
@@Sol-Amar due to many reasons and circumstances I wasn't able to study math at all so statistics and economic and business mathematics is something I've heard about for the first time, I want to study accounting and I'm hoping that I will pass these subjects, but I'm your opinion do you think I should major in this field?
Nah. That's what bookkeepers do. Accounting means applying principles like IAS/IFRS or GAAP, and that involves a deep knowledge of companies and corporate/tax law.
I like calculation but i hate calculating taxes and insurance which i scratched the surface of in high school. Wondering if accounting is for me🤔 i guess i do question policies sometimes
I also needed to take all of that 🙄 but thats more having to do with the “college experience” and doesn’t actually apply towards anything you do in accounting. It SUCKS that we have to take it to graduate but it’s not anything you will need in accounting. Im off to my last to years and to even get into the accounting program I needed all of those classes too. You’re not alone! You got this🫡

My son got accepted in a hongkong university , how is the situation now for international student during pandemic? Are you still doing face to face ? We are very worried 😰please keep safe and love your videos 🥰
Congrats on that! HK is still adopting zero covid policy that is not working at all. Did face to face last semester, but fully online this sem. Learning online isn't as big of a problem as the restrictions we are having; two people per table, unsolid news from the Gov causing unnecessary panics, etc. However, the job market is as good as ever since expats are trying to leave HK to unite with their families before they can't anymore. Hope this helps!
