Our WAL-MART has clearance sales after hunting season sometimes and I had a friend that bought 2 CVA wolf black powder GUNS with scopes and weather resistant coating for 100 dollars apiece. ( this was 2019) They also had moltrie bucket feeders that sold for 49 dollars for 19 dollars. Magnum buck decoys that were 149 dollars for 25 dollars. It is crazy but I love it . I generally watch and buy what I need for next year ahead of time. Everyone be sure and keep your eyes open after season maybe you can find some bargains too. 😁😁😁😁
I got my cva wolf muzzleloader in a pawnshop in 09 and I've killed numerous deer with it for $100 still going strong after 13 years probably have over 3000 shots through her
I just bought the Wolf in stainless with scope with quick breech plug for $258 at wally world. Since I already shoot BH209 IN my TC impact I had to buy the BH breech plug for it for another $35. I took off the Kounus scope and put one of my Nikons on it. Will shoot it this weekend and sight it in. I plan on using the Federal BOR lok in copper 270 gr bullet in it with 100 gr of BH209. hopefully it shoots good with this combo.
I just bought a CVA wolf this year and shoot 100 grains of 777 FFFG with federal Bore Loks. I killed a big buck at 50 yards, right between the eyes and a doe at 150 yards through the neck. The bullet dropped about three inches at 150 yards, She was a large doe (155 lbs) and I thought she was closer. I believe the CVA wolf with federals is the most accurate muzzleloader I’ve ever shot! (I’m sure if I spent allot more money I could find one more accurate but for the price it’s amazing) Also, CVA states to use Powerbelts but trust me they aren’t nearly as lethal as Federals! I’ve accurately shot close to ten deer with power belts over the years and found four of them! (Poor blood trail’s from good hits, the ones I found were in snow) So far I’ve hit four deer with Federal bore loks and easily found them.
I just bought this, what all do I need to get started, I bought some sort of starter kit. has cleaning supplies and all that. I guess I just need powder, primers and bullets? Anything I'm missing? Thanks
Lenora CVA wolf have a different release for the break action cantilever in front of the trigger guard it's not the whole trigger guard like in that CVA wolf I guess the newer ones are a little better and I don't like pellets
I have a new CVA Optima V2 50 cal LR nitride rifle. Using a hornady 250gr sst bullet. And 84 grs of blackhorn by weight. I shot a 3 shot group that was 1/2 inch group at 100.
They say the newer wolf model is better then the older ones they don't rust or have issues like the older models my gf got me one I gotta get out and shoot it soon
Love my Wolf got it for $70 on clearance at Walmart. Only problem I have is i can’t get the firing pin unscrewed (my fault didn’t clean it enough). Has that ever to anyone else and if so what did you do? I guess if it ever fails I’ll just buy another Wolf!! Thx
Cabelas had the cva wolf combo for like 350 360 ... and yea I got the blackhorn powder too to try on the wolf maybe I'll do video on it. Good luck out there guys be safe
On that wolf maybe not being as accurate. Just really clean that barrel a few times like 3 times in a week. Soak the barrel down with like bore blast or moose milk. It will shoot like new.
for sure it still shoots well enough for elk... it may not be the best 200 yard muzzleloader but 100 yards and in for sure do the job. you may want to check powder and bullet set up on elk hunting forums to what they recommend
Great gun for Black powder. There so easy to field clean between shots I’d consider shooting black powder if I didn’t have pounds of 777 already. I used to shoot black powder for hunting before 777 because pyrodex is so horrible when it comes to moisture.
Nice, thanks! Exactly the simple review I was hoping for
Good stuff! Love my CVA Wolf
Thanks, looking for one for my son to start with....perfect fit
great review!

Good review thanks for sharing your thoughts on this I did a review on the cva optima you may want to check it out to pretty neat muzzleloader
Nice
Man did you feel an improvement, I almost went with accrua but wanted the use of black horn 209
To make it cheaper to shoot how many grains would you recommend for a patched round ball I know the rifle twist is a little fast
A big Factor is how easy the CVA is to clean compared to the other one

If you are in college, you might even be able to keep that in your dorm. Since most states do not consider muzzle loaders to be firearms.
True. I would keep my stuff in my truck but that’s definitely a good point

nice man let me know if you had to get a new breach plug or anything to run black horn with it
@@thewhitetailexperience6055 i already got the cva blackhorn plug asap

What’s pop?
Do you think .50 cal is overkill for deer or wild boar
No, a .50 bmg is completely different. A 50 cal muzzleloader is not putting out the same energy
#please tell me which model is this cva wolf... and where we get? plz 😍
its the cva wolf... you answered your own question. just search that in google.
California that's a $200 gun minimum my CVA wolf I can get it up 400 yards it is a good rifle and I don't use Pyrodex I use actual black powder

100 dollars where? Ill buy it right now
$375 at the local gun shop.
$140 at my local shop used in basically new condition, buying it in the morning
check online I see them for around $237 for the woodland camo type
My cva wolf will shoot 3/4” at 100 yards I could not believe it.
It’s impressive for sure
@@thewhitetailexperience6055 I know I didn’t think it would shoot that good. Take it have not ever taken a deer with it yet had it probably 8-9 years
Mines still putting them down
$100 is what you paid 10 years ago right ?
And used
Those are 220 minimum
i think new your correct. i got mine with scope 169 but the team has bought 2 at pawn shops in last 3 years for 150 ish
