Jimmy was that all there was to the drop at Firefly today? I didn’t see any telecasters so far. All the others showed as you graciously let us know😇

Thanks for the heads up Jimmy. I'm not going to sleep until I get one. 😵💫
🤣
Hey Dan…thanks for watching and commenting. You can get a few winks in for the next couple days…😎
Appreciate your stopping in, and good luck in your quest!! 🎸👍
Great playing, great tone, great editing, great heads-up, great goodness! That's a lot of great. Grateful for your great channel.
Hi Rusty…thanks ever so much for watching and the “great” comments! So glad you enjoyed and my sincere thanks for stopping in my friend. 🙏👍
Your channel is a blessing. You help dreamers realize they don't need a 3000$ guitar to make music.
I've worked as an authorized guitar service center/luthier for multiple companies and gigged for 40+ years. I see folks spend so much money on pricey instruments when what they truly need are music/guitar lessons.
Channels like yours help dreamers to realize that a 150$ axe with a really good set-up and perhaps some alnico pickups will perform every task a working, gigging player needs.
How many dreamers are gonna buy that new 3000$ PRS tele-thing when what they truly need is 2700$ in music/guitar lessons and a 200$ axe? You bring an air of reality to YT. Thank you.

Thanks so much Rusty!! You know, back when I started playing, I started on a old (even then) Harmony acoustic with the strings about a 1/2 inch off the frets…builds hand/finger strength…😎
In today’s market, you CAN really get a very decent guitar in playability/sound/looks without taking out a 2nd mortgage. Yes, you MAY have to do a little tweaking to make it more to your preference, but that’s part of making the guitar your own. I keep the vast majority of my “budget” guitars stock as I am from the school of “if it ain’t broke”….
Truly….thanks ever so much! 🙏🎸👍
@@JimmyStewart1 my first electric only had 5 working tuners so I became a bit of a guitar tech before I could even play. It was a blessing. By high school I was already doing repairs at a local shop and became an authorized repair tech for many brands. I still enjoy the work and I'm a zillion years old now.
Many things have changed but one thing has remained the same: most guitar buyers simply can't play. And rather than actually learn guitar/music, they just buy stuff.

Ha!! Yep…the “endless” search for the magic guitar that will make them sound like Jeff Beck…I hear ya!! 🎸👍
What a fantastic video have a wonderful day Jimmy
Thank you Amin…much appreciated! 🎸👍
Love the opening, I was tripping Bro, especially with those stacked closeups! Can’t wait for the new guitars drop, been getting pretty sparse over there at the garden
Hi Scott…thanks so much!! So glad to hear you enjoyed! New drop should be soon…truly appreciate your taking the time to watch and comment! My sincere thanks…🎸👍

Hey Jimmy!!! Excellent as always
Hi Tim!! Thanks so much man…really appreciate your stopping in and taking the time to comment. So glad to hear you enjoyed it! Much thanks…🎸👍
Thanks for another great video. Your playing was on fire. Nice. As an aside for those who are interested, this model just dropped again, under the moniker of FFTC (I believe it is the DC - it looks just like this). All the best.
Hi Rob…thanks so much for watching and commenting! So glad you enjoyed and nice to see FF has brought it back!! One of my “fav” models!! 🎸👍
@@JimmyStewart1 Glad I found this vid....I've got a Firefly double cut arriving tomorrow in Yellow.

Glad you found it as well! Thanks for watching and congrats on your new FF double cut!! Enjoy! 🎸👍
Enjoy!
Hi Jimmy J…appreciate it brother!! Thanks for stopping in! 🎸👍
Been awhile since I’ve seen them available. Probably back when I could only find them on Amazon. Very cool! I will keep my eye on Guitars Garden.
Thanks for watching and commenting! Indeed…outside of a very small test drop this past January, it’s been since 2019 since we have seen the double cut!!
Appreciate your dropping in to the channel…keep your 👀 on guitarsgarden!! 🎸👍
Awesome Jimmy!! Can't wait to see the new Firefly release!! I'm sure you were instrumental in the return of the FFDCD 2.0 LOL Keep up the great work!!
Hi Reggie!! Thanks so much and glad you enjoyed!! Truly appreciate your stopping in my friend…lot’s of folks were looking forward to seeing this come back! Thanks again…🙏👍
Hey Jimmy! I checked the guitars garden website this morning and the DCDs are out. Now I just have to decide between the red and yellow!
Yes! I left a pinned comment yesterday on the drop! Thanks for sharing as well! 🎸👍
Great content and playing! Have always loved the Les Paul DC Junior style and don't understand why they don't offer the junior version as well. Love the HB XT-22 sitting there, but that one also seems unavailable now! Not that I have the money now to by one now. Missed your videos on that guitar and had to go back and search for it!
In this drop they did the DCD, but I think they will also return the DCS as well. I love mine (both)….truly appreciate your support to the channel. Reviews of all of them are here. If you go to my “home” page you can search by category as well! 🎸👍
Rock on, Jimmy! 🎸
Hi Terry…truly appreciate your stopping in…much thanks man! 🎸👍
@@JimmyStewart1 I am jealous of your tone!
@@Lampkeeper
Thanks…appreciate it. None of my videos have any pre/post sound editing as I try to give a idea of the sound I am hearing in the room…it’s just a room mic on the camera and another on my shirt for my voice. It’s just a little dirt, reverb, delay and a bit of compression to excite a bit more sustain. Truly appreciate it Terry! 🙏👍
Great stuff!!!!!!!
Hi rmsavig2204…so glad you enjoyed it! Truly appreciate your stopping into the channel and sharing your thoughts here!! Much thanks…🙏👍
Hopefully the necks are thinner. Did not like the neck on the last one but the overall design was beautiful. Looking forward to this next drop! Thanks Jimmy!
Hi tubularbill…thanks so much for watching and commenting. Yes, many are looking forward to the new drop. Truly appreciate your stopping into the channel! Much thanks…🎸👍
Hey Chief! Firefly fans will be chomping at the bit for those upgraded axes! Unfornately, not up here in Canada.
Hi Cal…yeah, I know!! Don’t give up hope…some day they will get 🇨🇦 into the shipping/distribution! Always appreciate your stopping in my 🇨🇦 friend…much thanks! 🎸👍
You rock.
I hope you're right. You ought to talk you're way into their R&D. I'd like to see an offset Tele with a P90 neck pup.
Hi Troy…thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed. They do consult me from time to time…😎
Truly appreciate your stopping in…again, much thanks! 🎸👍
I have a Firefly 335 style guitar and I am very pleased with it. I once had an actual Gibson double-cut Special with P90’s, but I was very disappointed in it. The Gibson had those dreaded Robo-Tuners on them. I replaced them with Vintage correct tuners, but there was a problem with static coming through the amp. I heard it might be the PCB boards that Gibson was using. I hate PCB boards in guitars. I wasn’t willing to gut the electronics, so I sold the darn thing. I love P90’s though. I’ll watch for this drop.
Hi 3cardmonty…appreciate your stopping into the channel! I think you would like this….and the new ones should be pretty killer…thanks again for watching and sharing your thoughts!! Keep your 👀 open!! 🎸👍
Cool
Thanks so much papa blue!! Much thanks…🎸👍
Still checking the site for them, but no show!
Hi Elf….thanks for watching and commenting. Yeah, it’s only been a few days since they announced a “week” or so, but I would keep checking just to be sure, especially if you are in the market to grab one. Good luck and keep pickin’’….thanks for stopping in to the channel! 🙏🎸👍
WOW! Chief that was truly a KILLER opening! When all of these really intriguing Firefly guitars become available could we get a heads up? Why doesn’t Guitar Gardens take email addresses of followers to announce product introduction? Again, “ Keep ‘em comin’!”
Hi mjvicc1952…so glad you stopped in and happy to hear you enjoyed it! They are a quite small company, with only a handful of actual employees all located in China, so logistics/communication is always a challenge not only in language, but in time zones as well. Perhaps they will strengthen their web site even more in the future, but right now their primary way is via their Facebook fans/supporters and some reviewers like me whom they keep contact. They do small batches of guitars, and most models usually sell out quickly with just “word of mouth” regardless. I will try to give a heads up to the subscribers. As always, thanks for the channel support! 🎸👍
I signed up for the newsletter but have never gotten anything, but they communicate very well with what they make! I do have a problem with the cup style output jack because I use a wireless system, but I solved it with a simple L shape 1/4" adaptor, and Aron at the Garden was very sympathetic and offered a discount so I could modify and find a solution. I realized that they get to find the best hardware, and I get to find what works for me because I just want them to keep doing what works for them!@@JimmyStewart1
Cookin' intro and outro! Laying down some great licks over the backing track for the win . Can you, or anyone here, make a case for the DC/SG style besides (erm) the look? The only DC I have is a Westcreek, and yes, it is a guitar , and plays well, but is there something else to separate it from say a Les Paul style solid body? As for the other new releases, good stuff Firefly! I picked up a couple of TL's and a ST. I also got the new Resonator that I like, and cant even compare it to the other one as they are different but both very nice. Always learning from this channel, thanks for the effort you put into these!!
Hi Scott..thanks so much. These are really based on the Gibson “Special” their version of a double cut LP before they came out with the SG. For me, it’s the access and weight, along with the P90’s that give it its own vibe. Not as heavy as a LP…simple rock machine….slab of mahogany with P90’s….classic….🎸👍
Weight relief is good! It seems like there are so many combinations of pickups on any style guitar nowadays that it is no longer a distinction it once was. I think my real question is, should I let my GAS have another hole to fill, I feel like it has had enough kool-aid for the moment! @JimmyStewart1
@@scottmartin356
Yes, any combination is possible these days. I prefer simplicity in most cases and the early versions of the LP and LP JR are favorites along with the double cuts equipped with P90’s I have been using on stage since the mid 70’s…I still have my 54 LP JR, but have pretty much retired her and have been using my FF JR and double cuts as stand-ins to pretty good effect…😎
Wow, your '54 must have some great patina! Maybe you can do a change of pace episode on that someday. Missed out on the Firefly Jr's, but early in my GAS attack I bought some by Donner, Indio and a couple of others, and set them aside as I got more into thinline Teles, IYV's and Firefly's. I'll have to circle back to those now that I have been having fewer GAS attacks lol. Speaking of Guitarsgarden, the LPS stock is really starting to dwindle fast and they have emptied out some of their other inventory too- perhaps some new stuff will be showing up soon! Happy October! @@JimmyStewart1

I have a series I started back when called “Classic/Vintage Guitars” where I go over the 54 and a few other “non-budget” guitars that I own. Check it out here on the channel. Interesting stories on them…recording they were used on, history, etc…a happy “Roctober” to you as well..🎸👍

Doe Firefly make this in Les Paul Jr. configuration with just the one P90 at the bridge?
Hi Mark…thanks for watching and commenting. Yes, they did but it’s been awhile since we last saw them do a batch of either the LP JR or the DCS (double cut single). I have 1st batch examples of both…the JR from 18 and the DCS from later 19 or early 20 as I recall. The JR I have was the Goldtop and the DCS is a nice sunburst. Both these guitars have full reviews here on the channel should you be interested. Don’t know at this point when or If they will do another batch of them…we can hope 🤞
Thanks so much for stopping into the channel! 🎸👍
What does DCD stand for?
Hi Overcome8628…The initials/model number refer to the body style and pickup configuration. A DC is a double cut (cut away on both sides) and the D means double pickups. The DCS would be a double cut, single pickup like the sunburst guitar shown. Hope that helps and thanks for stopping into the channel! 🎸👍
sweet guitar brother!
how loud do you have your amp when you do demos and reviews? i never asked yet...
i could hear the pick as you were "dick dale-in" it haha!!! plus the mic on ya shirt possibly picked up alot of that as well....
Hi Mike…thanks for watching and commenting. I keep the Stage Right on the 1w setting around 10:00 o’clock (3ish?). My voice mic does pickup pick noise (especially heavier strumming) but that’s ok…just goes to show I simply mic the room…no pre/post DAW processing or other things. One mic on my shirt for voice…one on the camera.
Thanks as always for stopping in…much thanks!! 🎸👍

o ya i sold the zuweie tele along with a "stock fitting" "hotrail" humbucker for the neck...
