We sailed on the Carnival Celebration to the port of San Juan Puerto Rico Jan 2023. In this video we share the BEST shore excursion. We purchased the shore excursion directly through Carnival. It was called Rainforest Nature Walk, River Pools & Beach. The tour started with a 45 minute guided bus ride to El Yunque National Forest. Then it was time for an enjoyable nature walk and time at the river pools. After that we were dropped off at the beach where we got some delicious local vegan food and spent some time in the sand. We even saw a giant Iguana! This was one of the best shore excursions we have ever purchased through a cruise line. Way less people than on previous excursions and much longer as well for a very affordable price. we LOVED it!

That rainforest was amazing. We have been talking about visiting Puerto Rico and this is definitely something I want to see if we do. The beach looks beautiful. But it would be nice if the water was clear enough for snorkeling. That is a bit of a bummer. Thanks for sharing this excursion with us!

How long were you at the beach? and were there chairs you could use/rent?
The beach was 2 hours or so. I don't remember if there was anyone renting out beach chairs or not.
