When my kids were younger I'd do the same thing that Alyssa does. I get in the car and go get a treat and drive around and it would just reset me too. If I stayed home my kids followed me to the bathroom. You love your children more then anything but sometimes you just need a little break. You two are so good together and fun to watch doing a q&a.

I used ACE when i was homeschooling my daughter 30+ years ago. What i liked the most was the bible verse memory in each pace booklet. She was not only learning her school work she was learning the bible ❤
@HolySpiritledMama that what we used from 7th grade to graduation. She went on to graduate RN school at the top of her class. And the smartest ER and labor and delivery nurses around. Unfortunately she passed away October 30th 2020 at age 38. 😢
We liked Colorado Springs area a lot, beautiful mountains,parks, etc. You are so correct about nasty comments, I have always said it is because they can hide behind the screen. You guys are so solid as parents and definitely structure is important.

You guys are the absolute cutest and I would watch you no matter what you were talking about. I have one seventeen year old child and I still love learning how others parent. I wish I had so much wisdom to soak in when she was little but she still turned out pretty amazing.

Good Questions. I recommend when you have the opportunity, visit Idaho and drive the Sawtooth or the Owyhee Mountains, Idaho does have a lot of beauty still despite the growing pains with people moving in the Boise area. Weather can be unpredictable. I wouldn't mind a series of videos or topics of each of you did something specifically. I know John is busy, however I would watch his DIY videos or giving talks that would benefits others especially Men. I don't get bored ever with your videos. I always enjoying watching them and I rewatch alot of them on a regular basis when I have free time. I will pray for papa bill and mama jane. As well as you guys. As a fellow “soon to be 🤰🏻 “ mom of 5 i’m sure you have heard this 1 million times but just in case I will put my two cents for anyone else struggling. I also get pretty bad morning sickness and I really swear by taking a vitamin B6 and a Unisom! My midwife recommended it to me and not only does it help with the pregnancy insomnia but it definitely was helping me function throughout the day after I took it. I had my most extreme morning sickness with my daughter and I started taking this special magnesium iron supplement and it was a night and day difference as well. Hopefully this info can help any other pregnant moms in the comments dealing with morning sickness. ❤️🩹
We have loved doing classical conversations for homeschooling! There is so much that can be done together as a family when they are in 6th grade and under and I appreciate the togetherness of our curriculum in those years…I also love how prepared my graduate and future graduates seem for wherever God calls them…work, college, relationships…
We did an eclectic sort of curriculum and did different things for different subjects based on what worked for us! Sometimes that even varied by kid. Favorites were Saxon math, Apologia science, BJU history and literature, Abeka languages. Also loving Masterbooks and Generations stuff now. There's so many more options out there now than there used to be!

You are absolutely right. About routines. Our routine was down so good that the boys would do their bedtime routine on their own including putting themselves to bed. Read a book and go to sleep. They were doing this in elementary and middle school. High school they had jobs driving. So they went to bed whenever. And still made it to school on time. Less stress for everyone..
I did Abeka until 4th grade then switched to ACA paces . They learn to do independent work and learn Bible verses with the curriculum. I loved the transition and it’s easy if they are good readers , they do the work mostly on their own and then you grade it at the end of week . You can also do assessment tests to see what level they are at .
I have an almost 6 month old so I like watching(all the vlogs😉) a lot of the schooling/mom vlogs. It gives me ideas on what to plan for for my baby girl when she gets older!!
You guys do great Q & A's.....I would love it if you did a video on a specific topic. Whether it be about cooking, meal planning, budgeting, finance, how you set up your life goals and plans, etc. Sending prayers for your grandparents from here in the middle of Nebraska! Yes definitely do videos like that! Maybe since I have 5 kids, but watching other people’s day with kids isn’t very relaxing for me personally. 😂 So I love the educational videos on various topics, homeschooling ones, cooking, basically any that has a focus. I still follow some channels that vlog that I love, like y’all,just not as good about watching videos like that opposed to the more focused ones. Oh I love house tours and project ones too! So fun! You just broke my heart talking about your grandparents...I don't know them but I think about them often, I know you said before they had health issues. I have lost my grandparents so I know that pain. Enjoy them as much as you can, I know it will be hard on y'all one day.

You should go someplace you've never been before for your second honeymoon. Make an adventure of it. Maybe a train ride through the Rockies? Or drive through New England if your anniversary is in the fall, for the beautiful foliage . There's a lot of Revolutionary War history there too.

I miss the busy days and being a momma. Enjoy your kiddos, your marriage, family moments, just life and celebrate every opportunity. I was the main support of my family, my husband was injured at age 23. We married young 15 and 16. No regrets. My sons were my life and I knew exactly who I was when I became a momma. My sweet boys grew into amazing men and dads. Sadly the two oldest passed away three years apart and their dad shortly followed and the younger passed away 11/10/2020. I am alone. My heart is broken and lonely and sad. I don't know my purpose or reason for living. My family was everything. Just cherish every moment.
John I used Head & Shoulders for years and unfortunately it gave me a dry scalp. Now it itches if there’s any perfume in the product. It’s terrible! H&as is too strong for every day use.
We homeschooled for two years and really liked the Abeka video program. i especially liked the history class which told about our nation’s Christian heritage. We wish you the best on homeschooling!

I agree, I would love to see your personal testimonies and to hear about your faith journey and how you instill that in your children and about your morning routine/nighttime routine with the kids. Also, a homeschooling and bread making series would be fun.
You guys are the absolute cutest and I would watch you no matter what you were talking about. I have one seventeen year old child and I still love learning how others parent. I wish I had so much wisdom to soak in when she was little but she still turned out pretty amazing.

Good Questions. I recommend when you have the opportunity, visit Idaho and drive the Sawtooth or the Owyhee Mountains, Idaho does have a lot of beauty still despite the growing pains with people moving in the Boise area. Weather can be unpredictable. I wouldn't mind a series of videos or topics of each of you did something specifically. I know John is busy, however I would watch his DIY videos or giving talks that would benefits others especially Men. I don't get bored ever with your videos. I always enjoying watching them and I rewatch alot of them on a regular basis when I have free time. I will pray for papa bill and mama jane. As well as you guys. As a fellow “soon to be 🤰🏻 “ mom of 5 i’m sure you have heard this 1 million times but just in case I will put my two cents for anyone else struggling. I also get pretty bad morning sickness and I really swear by taking a vitamin B6 and a Unisom! My midwife recommended it to me and not only does it help with the pregnancy insomnia but it definitely was helping me function throughout the day after I took it. I had my most extreme morning sickness with my daughter and I started taking this special magnesium iron supplement and it was a night and day difference as well. Hopefully this info can help any other pregnant moms in the comments dealing with morning sickness. ❤️🩹

We have loved doing classical conversations for homeschooling! There is so much that can be done together as a family when they are in 6th grade and under and I appreciate the togetherness of our curriculum in those years…I also love how prepared my graduate and future graduates seem for wherever God calls them…work, college, relationships…

We did an eclectic sort of curriculum and did different things for different subjects based on what worked for us! Sometimes that even varied by kid. Favorites were Saxon math, Apologia science, BJU history and literature, Abeka languages. Also loving Masterbooks and Generations stuff now. There's so many more options out there now than there used to be!

You are absolutely right. About routines. Our routine was down so good that the boys would do their bedtime routine on their own including putting themselves to bed. Read a book and go to sleep. They were doing this in elementary and middle school. High school they had jobs driving. So they went to bed whenever. And still made it to school on time. Less stress for everyone..
I did Abeka until 4th grade then switched to ACA paces . They learn to do independent work and learn Bible verses with the curriculum. I loved the transition and it’s easy if they are good readers , they do the work mostly on their own and then you grade it at the end of week . You can also do assessment tests to see what level they are at .

I have an almost 6 month old so I like watching(all the vlogs😉) a lot of the schooling/mom vlogs. It gives me ideas on what to plan for for my baby girl when she gets older!!

Yes definitely do videos like that! Maybe since I have 5 kids, but watching other people’s day with kids isn’t very relaxing for me personally. 😂 So I love the educational videos on various topics, homeschooling ones, cooking, basically any that has a focus. I still follow some channels that vlog that I love, like y’all,just not as good about watching videos like that opposed to the more focused ones. Oh I love house tours and project ones too! So fun! You just broke my heart talking about your grandparents...I don't know them but I think about them often, I know you said before they had health issues. I have lost my grandparents so I know that pain. Enjoy them as much as you can, I know it will be hard on y'all one day.

You should go someplace you've never been before for your second honeymoon. Make an adventure of it. Maybe a train ride through the Rockies? Or drive through New England if your anniversary is in the fall, for the beautiful foliage . There's a lot of Revolutionary War history there too.

I miss the busy days and being a momma. Enjoy your kiddos, your marriage, family moments, just life and celebrate every opportunity. I was the main support of my family, my husband was injured at age 23. We married young 15 and 16. No regrets. My sons were my life and I knew exactly who I was when I became a momma. My sweet boys grew into amazing men and dads. Sadly the two oldest passed away three years apart and their dad shortly followed and the younger passed away 11/10/2020. I am alone. My heart is broken and lonely and sad. I don't know my purpose or reason for living. My family was everything. Just cherish every moment.

John I used Head & Shoulders for years and unfortunately it gave me a dry scalp. Now it itches if there’s any perfume in the product. It’s terrible!

We homeschooled for two years and really liked the Abeka video program. i especially liked the history class which told about our nation’s Christian heritage. We wish you the best on homeschooling!
Alyssa, when my kids were young I did the same thing for a break. The loud music was a must and it did the trick. The q and a's are great. I learn different things not just about your family, but I try to answer those questions for my life if it pertains to my life and it does help and encourage so thank you. I think a video on a specific topic would be nice. I enjoy all your videos and vlogs.
