It is kind of strange to feel so sad that your heart aches for a person you never met and who didn't know you. After listening and enjoying his music for 45 years I guess the connection was there. I am glad he is not in pain anymore but I have found myself in tears just thinking about different times in my life that I remember listening to his songs. My late brother was in Meatloaf's band back in the mid 80s. According to him, Meatloaf used to sing this song before his shows to warm up his voice: 'The Lion Sleeps Tonight'. My brother died of cancer, going on 3 years ago. He was a guitarist/singer/songwriter. Besides doing live shows with Meatloaf, he also did live shows with Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison (The Doors), and Janis Joplin. The last thing I said to my brother the day before he died was: the opening line of The Righteous Brothers' 'Rock N Roll Heaven'. RIP to the both of them.

Rip meat ,Heaven can wait no longer. Thank you for the music
My hero. I'm so sad for our loss but happy he is free from pain and suffering. Heaven awaits him, and he will be rocking with the other greats who touched the lives of so many of us. How wonderful it must be to have fulfilled his dreams here. God bless you Meatloaf. 🙏💜🙏💜😊💜🙏
Was he a believer of God
@@sheltonnhundu2384 yes he was. But even those who do not are never left in the darkness if they call out to God or Jesus or by another name based on culture and belief. God loves us unconditionally. Peace & love to you 🙏💜

Prayers with the family and RIP meatloaf! Rock in heaven.!!
Watching this video, he talks about the fact that he would be in the hospital for a long time. He also talks about connecting with his fans in another video after he gets out. At no time did I get the sense that he knew he was going to die. I agree that his death was a tragedy, but I don't agree with the caption and description of this video.
RIP Meat Loaf, you were a great performer.
You are correct, this video is actually a few years old.
Rest easy, one of a kind❤️
