Hello, what you show in the video is incredible. I have a controller like that but I am new to this and I wanted to ask you, how can I install the patch once purchased? And if it would work in Cubase? Thanks.
Very nice work ! Is it possible to use the controller as a normal way in the same time ? Like you switch somewhere and can use the standard features ? Or once the patch installed it's only a drum rack ?
Thank you. The controller itself doesn't exactly have a "standard" mode, it's pretty much a plastic box that sends MIDI information. In Ableton Live, there's a script written in the "Remote script" section of the program that allows it to have some functionality with Live. Technically, you can make a switch to turn this to whatever you want (check this out ruclips.net/video/Ei-DGO2f09E/видео.html here I'm constantly switching between different devices) If you're talking specificaly about Ableton though, This is a bit trickier and requires to program a "User Remote Script" to let this controller have access to Max devices and switch back to Live. Maybe I'll do something like that someday :) Hope I helped.
Oh nice would AKAI APC KEY 25 MK2 this work well for guitarist or better the Akai apc mini without keyboard 🎹 or can I combine both with a Akai MPC one ?
Great video! I have a question, what object did you use to make the steps mappable to the controller? I tried with matrixctrl and with live.grid but they arent mappable.
I've been using the same controller 2 build several devices powered by synthedit. Drum machines, to the sizes of various kinds, sequencers. I run into glitches that stop me from being able to use anything I make this way professionally, but it is magnificent for prototyping. What is this "Max" thing you talk of?
MaxMSP is a high-level, visual (patching) programming language for various types of media. It's a language from the '80s that grew up over the years and adopted more and more protocols (e.g MSP is mainly the audio part, Max has a lot to do with MIDI, you've got Gen~, Jitter, max4live, node4max... this thing is huge...) It's all running inside a standalone software called (well..) Max by a company named Cycling74
Hey, sorry. Unfortunately, it's a bit trickier than I expected. Ableton and Max MIDI communication (especially MIDI output from Live, for the lights-feedback and refresh routines) is a bit problematic, every now and then I'm trying to come back to this and trigger this issue (but because I have very limited time to do that, it might take a while.) In the meantime, if you have a standalone copy of Max and a Mac, you can open this patcher in Max and send MIDI from Max to Live.
Hola. Buen video!!
Muchas gracias... Allow me to respond in English. If I understand correctly, you're asking if there's a sequencer made for APC40? Well, there is one that was built as a Max4Live device and it's even featured on Ableton's website. BUT, it was made for mk1, so I'm not sure if it will be fully compatible with mk2. Look for 'APC-Step-Sequencer' by Mark Egloff and try it yourself... Hope it helps
Agradecido. Saludos!!
@@Tune4media Yeah, i'm using it with Atlas and its super fun.. i have a few suggestions that maybe would make abc better, would send you soon! thanks to you for making such a cool devices :)
MaxMSP is a software/ visual programming language that lets you build very sophisticated media components/effects/sounds/visuals, etc.. and it's not directly connected to Ableton, but the two companies have a deal that allows Ableton to run MaxMSP within it and make use of MaxMSP directly with Ableton
Роман Кохановский I don’t own this controller. But I’m planing on making a lesson about patching for Midi hardware to help people get a good starting point with making their own patches to whatever hardware they have :)
thank you for pointing it out! my site is temporarily down (working on fixing this problem) - however you can find the actual link by searching "tune4media gumroad", in there you'll find all of plugins
Any update on the Ableton version of this?
I'm excited to see your Ableton patch!
Excellent demo/tutorial !
Super cool 😎👍🏼
ehyyyyyyy where is the M4L verison!!!!

@tune4media please make something like this for novation launchkey mk3 49 for ableton

Hi! Do you know if it works with APC mini? Or a way to make it work together? Thanks!
hey im looking forward to do this exct same thing but in a custom midi controller, would you help me¡?

hello!... nice video... do you know if it's possible to map this device as a step sequencer in Traktor Pro 3?... thanks!!!
How well would it work on Logic Pro?
Hi, this is very nice, would it still be possible to buy a patch? Link is not working. Thank you.
Awesome! Let me know when it's available for ableton
I really would like to try it on Ableton!! Very good job its awesone! I cant wait to play with it
Thank you, hopefully I’ll manage to create a stable Ableton version soon.

Woooooo !! Does it work with the APC MINI ?
Do you know if it does?
Hi sorry for my bad englis :)
I buy the apc key 25 Drum sequencer.... how can isnatall it?
Hi :) You need to a copy of MaxMSP installed on your machine
Can't wait for the Ableton patch. APC Key 25 has so much potential, but it's poorly used in the default Live script.
Ableton patch?
works fro macbook?
אחלה סרטון תודה. זכית במנוי חדש :) תצליח
Any way you can integrate this with your auto beat composer? Recently buy'd it and i'm in love, would be awesome
Interesting Idea and thank you for buying :)
Maybe I will in the near future

What daw use?? Cant hear the name.
Not exactly a traditional DAW, I'm using Max by Cycling74
Would love to see that live mapping
Easy but not for a begineeeeeerh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
