Great explanation, have often thought about issues of mounting the gun on differently elevated targets. What you are doing is similar to what it takes to break targets from the hip. To do that requires total concentration on the target, forget about the muzzle.
Yes, a mid bead is a very useful tool for someone learning to shoot. It allows you to check consistency of gun mount. Focusing on the target isn't going to help you if your gun mount is all over the place. Once you know you're mounted properly, then you can focus on the target. When you have more experience, it won't be necessary because gun mount will become muscle memory.
Thanks so much, David! What a great video and drill thanks, as always!

Please please do more videos like this
Thank you for very much for your feedback and support 😊 We really appreciate it!
👍👍 I've been doing similar but with the addition of a bore sight.
A laser bore sight is the way to do this, not a ShotKam
I wonder if David would write my masters' thesis for me.....he fills the pages like no other
This is awesome. Great video David. Hope to see you at M&M!
Wondering if you can make this work with a flashlight versus the Shotkam??
Great video! I never actually thought of it like that 👍🏼👍🏼
thank you david!! i need a lesson
Great video!
Thank you for your feedback ☺
Thx!
I will try it 100%
This drill can be simplified and the end result expedited by using a laser instead of a shotkam for immediate visual feedback.
Why not just use your bead? Higher gun but the same movement. Keep the bead where you need it while mounting.
This is similar to the skills necessary to field a low hard ground shot in baseball.
too much hassle i will remain a poor shot !!
Question:- Is a mid bead worth having?
I would say yes if you are starting out to learn. After learning it will be less valuable.
@@jimsutton8244 I agree
No use at all,you should be looking at the target. Beed is never seen.

prime exampel why I try to avoid american instuctional videos.. they just talk to damn much
Says the guy with 2 subscribers about the guy wth 54,000+ subscribers 🤣🤣🤣 What a douche.
quality over quantity
that's example, not exampel. and instructional, not instuctional. and too damn much, not to. guess you avoided school as well.
