I really love the fact that you shoot ur videos on 30fps or 60fps, the 4by3 ratio, the colors, and the art direction in general, it really gives the vibe of a 90s video

In my experience in order to see significant difference between the two you need to shoot in low light or at night with distinct points of light rather than already diffused ambient sunlight. Glimmerglass does a good job diffusing points of light and dropping the contrast slightly while not significantly affecting the rest of the image. Black Pro Mist adds a haze to the whole image and has much less contrast. But honestly if you're shooting digital you can recreate the Glimmerglass effect in Gimp/Photoshop by lowering the contrast a touch in combination with the "Bloom" filter effect. It gives you a cleaner starting image and more precise control over the diffusion effect. Often I find that the effect is too strong or too weak and that means buying another filter then changing that filter while out shooting, which I find annoying. Black Pro Mist is the one I would buy as there is no easy way (that I know of) to recreate the effect digitally.
Keep in mind also that the effective focal length of your lens also plays a big part in how strong the effect is and as you zoom in more you need a stronger diffusion to get the same result.

I'm quite surprised with the warm, yellowish tint the black pro mist was leaving on your images since other reviewers were showing it to have no color effect on their images. Not a critique. Just an observation. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for the comparison! I'm trying to decide on my first filter to go along with my S5IIX and BMPCC6KG2.
I think the reason these are so similar is that you are already shooting on film. Most of the time I see these marketed as a way to take a digital image and make it more "filmic." Other examples I've watched have a more pronounced effect on highlights, but your highlights are already softened by the film.

I think it is very very nice indeed, which settings do you use? Film and print? Did you add any blooming or halation or that is exclusively from the glimmer glass?

I know this video is a year old but I want to buy the glimmer glass but I’m unsure on the density levels. Which is stronger between the 1 and the 1/4? Thanks in advance.

      ahh thank you
I think 1 is good for just elevating your footage slightly, 3 is definitely stylistic & would look great if that 's your intention
