If you want to learn about more disappearances, check out this article... 5 Mysterious Unsolved Family Disappearances: www.top5s.co.uk/five-unsolved-family-disappearances
I think anyone that has spent enough time in the wilds of the US will tell you, there's shit out there. You don't know what it is, you might never see anything, but often you can't shake the feeling of being watched and knowing you're not alone even when you think you are.
Do you mean by people or by bears and shit, i'm not American never been to a big national park, would it be very likely some crazy guy might have taken at least one, what are your views on no.1?
Gwyn Plaine You're right. There was a case in the East where a woman was kidnapped by a father and son "mountain man" duo who wanted a "wife" and held her for some time deep in the wilderness. She eventually escaped but I never forgot how weird it was!! The parks I've been in are unbelievably beautiful, but very, very easy to get lost in if you are not experienced. People suffer complete panic, don't believe their compass, or start running blindly. I read a book written in the 1930s that covered this about the Maine woods. They said when lost to fire two shots, wait for someone to answer with one shot, then fire two again, following the sound of the answering rifle. It usually took hours, but worked. Of course, this was back when every single man and woman who lived in the woods carried guns at all times!!
Thanx Christine nice answer, sorry for all the questions it just seemed you knew what your talking about and i found those stories immensely interesting (in a morbid kinda way) Yes i can confirm even though iv'e never been there they are indeed exceptionally beautiful almost like a dream! Being from a small country the concept of getting that lost is completely alien as are the dangerous animals (officially the most murderous natural animal in my country is a seagull with a grand total of 1 kill) But as an ex military guy and out doors man type i wouldn't be able to stay away. I just wondered in your view do you think they could of all just gotten lost or do you think there are some 'spicier' stories afoot!
What have we learned from this: Before heading out into the wild: -implant GPS chip inside your body. -always carry a gun. -always carry signal flare gun. -always carry smartphone with solar charger and GPS support.
I am just so confused about Geraldine. She was 10 minutes away from the trail. As an experienced hiker, she would have tried to branch out from her location. Not to mention, they said she was only 3 miles from her starting point. How did she get so 'lost' she couldn't have back tracked. She was also in a bright yellow tent in one of the main areas people were looking. Someone should have seen her or she should have heard them. Then the text messages. She messaged people asking for help yet no one got them. This seems like something literally from the Twilight Zone. I also don't get how she starved to death. Sure food can be scarce but as someone who spends a huge amount of time in the woods, she would have known what plants were safe to eat. This just boggles my mind like crazy.
I think what I find most scary about this is that it is *too* easy to get lost this way. Sure she was experienced but even experienced hikers can get disorientated, anyone can if they're on their own in the middle of the woods. I do think it's strange that she was so close to the trail but it's like Christopher Mccandless who also ended up in the same situation.
Christopher McCandless didn't end up in that "same" situation at all, he knew exactly where he was at all times. This lady got lost just 10 minutes away from the trail.. for 27 days... Chris couldn't leave due to the river that had gotten so big that it blocked his path back home. Then he began to starve due to the lack of food, and he ate the wrong berries that made him sick and famished so much so that he didn't have the strength to leave at all. But he always knew where he was at, he just couldn't leave, it's not the same whatsoever.
Meggsy104 if you find this mind boggling then I would suggest you check out David Paulides interviews (on RUclips) and books he's written on mysterious disappearances in National Parks across the US and some overseas. I wouldn't be surprised if these five cases are already in one of his books because they seem to fit David's criteria for a case to be accepted (they tend to be more "Twilight zone" type cases).
Meggsy104 what if she went on the hike just to purposely die didn't commit suicide but rather starve to death and "say" in her journal she lost track. Dun dun dunnnnn
You know most top 10 or top whatever are usually just click bait, and aren't really worth all the views they get. But your videos are interesting and are really good, keep it up man.
Top5s I also want to say that I love your videos, and I never tire of watching them. Best top 5 videos channel on RUclips by far, hope you host your own TV show one day.
brown dwarf It's also happening in urban areas too. David Paulides who wrote about the people missing in parks and rural areas wrote about people missing in urban areas too.
;) for sure Andrew, Paulides has done great works in this field, have you checked out his works on bigfoot? I live no to far from Hoopa where conducted many investigations, Les Stroud survivorman has a good episode up here also, Bluff creek where the famous Patterson /Gimlin film was taken is a stones throw away
Given the size of the wilderness in the US, it's a fair question. There are still likely parts of the continental US that ever never seen a person before so who knows what could survive in these fringe areas.
LieutenantPants The Demogorgon in the UPSIDE DOWN! Sorry I couldn't help myself, but the thought of different dimensions all around us and the government trying to figure out how they work and who lives there. It's only a matter of time before an actual Demogorgon comes out to play.
sclock2 no where in the lower 48 are you farther than 24 miles from a paved road. I don't think a breeding population of at least 10000 large primates could go without any evidence other than blurry photos and videos especially since everyone in the woods has a camera today
David Paulides is the one man who has researched the phenomenon of missing people in the forests of America. He is an ex detective and has written five books about all the missing people. He has also made sure to categorise them into a certain group so as not to include those that have wandered off, committed suicide etc. just the strange cases that make no sense. He has made a few you tube videos and has his own website. The one amazing thing he has found in his ten year research is that there are clusters of these missing people.
Paula Unger sorry I don't but just put in David Paulides both in RUclips and google and you will have no probs finding him. Definitely worth the time looking into as it is very very fascinating !
excessive masturbation? what is the # of times a day that masturbation is diagnosed excessive?. I have really disciplined myself to 8 times a day. at one time I maxed out at 24 times a day. I'm bald.. and I'm a recovering excessive masturbator
When Dennis Martin went missing, a couple that was picnicking a few miles away, said they saw a "bear" that was walking upright on two feet and it looked like it was carrying something that resembled a small child, over its shoulder. Very strange.
I dont think they left him alone. He was probably walking with them, than saw something interesting and went off to explore it. It could've been just at the side of the trail. It says in the vid that his parents told him to catch up after just a short moment. It often takes just a moment for something like this to happen and you cant blame the parents.
Yes. Agree. But it defies logic in that you're freaking yourself out. Example, last freak-out was about the movie "Jaws." I live in a cold state where a great white literally can't live. (Bull shark, maybe) and it was JANUARY and about 20 degrees. So, no swimming, anyway. Have to be careful. I got weirded out yesterday. Started from video like this, and led into Polybius, a bizarre video game story from 1981 that supposedly led kids to suicide and madness. Apparently it never actually existed. But there's still hour-long docs on it, and clips of it in The Simpsons and supposedly "Wreck it, Ralph." From there, I found a truly bizarre video game of a Chuck E. Cheese-type abandoned restaurant with animatronics that want to kill you. THAT got me into the REAL story of how some crack head (he DOES NOT look sober on his arrest photos) shot up a Chuck E. Cheese after being fired, killing 4 and wounding a 5th. Can't imagine a worse place to die than a Chuck E. Cheese in 1993, myself. Of COURSE, this was in CO, same town where the Dark Night movie got shot up. THAT'LL keep you up. But then, Bob Ross lulled me to sleep in under 3 minutes, so happy ending.
There was a comment in one of the RUclips videos on mysterious disappearances. The guy said he'd been camping with his Dad, then suddenly felt the urge to take off his shirt and run away. He started undressing, when he was stopped by his Dad. He said he felt euphoria. I wonder if it has something to do with people who get undressed and are later found dead.
I got lost in the grocery store when I was a kid. I went missing in the dairy section, but was found mysteriously near some AA batteries. To this day nobody knows how I came to be there.
Back in 92' my papa got lost in a national park in mid-western Ontario, there was a 5 day search until they found him in the middle of a swamp flagging down a helicopter. While he was lost, he was sitting of the edge of a cliff trying to find a way to get back, but while nobody believed him he told me he saw about 6 alien ships of some sort shaped like light bulbs but without the screw cap thing at the bottom. They all had one blinking light at the top of them all blinking different colours one after the other. Then he noticed a plane flying in from his left, then they all shot of in different directions to his right while blinking purple. (I don't think anybody will bother to read this, but I think I will post this just in case)
Ernie Royo it can be beautiful but so much ugliness and hatred have clouded the waters. So many human beings need help and people who have wonderful lives and never faced any adversity keep saying "cheer up, life is beautiful"...you try and cheer up when your child is sleeping in the dirt and dying from an incurable disease or when your wife of 20 years cheats on you, gets half of your belongings and is still able to screw the other guy....yeah life sure is beautiful but the moldy patch here on Earth called humanity needs to be purged.
What you failed to mention, which makes the head spin a little more, is Gerry was found on Government property which was fenced off. A navy training area for SERE. it was a "navy forester" who found her. Never named or interviewed. In the press conference the sheriff said, "we didn't have people who were physically equipped to reach the area where Gerry was found" so how did 66 yr old Gerry get up there. ? The mind boggles the more you look into her sad story. RIP Gerry.
No one knows ,King George national park has been missing from NYC since October 1983. No one knows where said national park has gone or what had happened to it .
I don't understand why Geraldine gave up? There has to be something sinister that went on there... I've never hiked and I wouldn't give up, or stay in the same position for that long.
yeah, from what ive heard her experience hiking is a bit overstated here. It was believed she had trouble with a compass? But even then you need a good topgraphic map for your route to be safe enough,
gavbkk83 Ireland hahaha i am sorry i think my sacarsm went out of hand, but yeah it is nice here, loved it, sometime great sometime no so much. on expenses it very on where you lived it depends on so many factors. i am going to stop writing now because it feels like i am writing a whole essay.
People should check out Missing 411. There are some really weird disappearances out there with no explanation. SOmetimes, weird theories are put forward. But even the most logical don't add up, sadly fueling the conspiracies. But still interesting to check out.
Nibbit That was the guy who put the fact out that 900,000 people a year vanish in state parks, right? Also that parks refuse to keep any records on the disappearances because they need revenue.
christine paris Indeed! I had to lookup his name of the retired police officer that caught onto this. His name is David Paulides. I don't believe the conspiracy parts that some people suggest. I have a feeling Mr. Paulides doesn't either. But he doesn't turn away any idea or lead simply because it is so baffling. Seriously though, super creepy stuff.... that Missing 411 thing.
+Nibbit why don't you believe in the conspiracy part? Nobody would visit if they knee something off was happening(which it obviously is), and the media is silent 99% of the time. Why? It doesn't make sense.
Dee, it is becoming more known now that Missing 411 is picking up in popularity. Thank goodness. I am not really one to believe in the Bigfoot stories people are putting out there. Nor the alien ones. Those are the types of conspiracy theories I mean. Maybe it's my critical thinking training, I don't know. But, like Mr. Paulides, I would need a lot more proof before I am convinced it's Bigfoot or aliens or dimension change or any of the other numerous theories he's received. I don't dismiss them, but that's only because there isn't proof it _isn't_ aliens, etc. I do honestly believe, at the moment (until more evidence comes forward), these are all separate cases that aren't linked to any one cause. Many will _never_ be solved. And that is something we sadly have to accept for most of those cases. Even government kidnappings have been blamed on some of the missing cases. It's fear that brings up most of these ideas, I think. I feel bad so many have lost their lives =(. Forests, and nature in general, is unforgiving. I hope these will all be solved with one simple explanation. But I can guarantee that one explanation is not going to solve these cases (some cases being decades old). The hardest part is knowing we'll never know for most of them...
Autum Tatiana their only 24 dollars now don't go through amazon though go to missing 411 and you'll find all his books for a lot cheaper and they are worth it
Buy it from Canammssing.com which is the actual website the author (David Paulides) sells it through at a normal price. The other sellers are not legit retailers of the product (such as what you find on Amazon) and selling it at really inflated prices.
I forgot to mention that at canammissing.com you have to click the link to purchase the books which take you to nabigfootsearch.com which is the actual store to purchase the Missing 411 books from David Paulides himself.
I love these videos so much, you're voice is so amazing, its like soothing and calm, and you have a lot of interesting information in the video, (and all of ur videos) keep up the good work:)
The last story is wrong. According to David Paulides, Dennis Martin and his siblings and new friends were playing hide and go seek. Dennis's dad was watching him and saw where he was hiding. When the game was finished all the kids ran back to the parents except Dennis. That's when his dad ran to where he saw Dennis hiding and Dennis wasn't there anymore.
Also, you left a lot of mysterious stuff out too. Like the green beret's being called in and doing their own independent search(It's weird because Green Beret's don't look for missing people), the other family a few miles away who saw a humanoid thing with a horrendous scream that looked like it may have had a child on It's back, the suspicious fbi agent. I mean this was the strangest case of the five and you left all the mysterious stuff out. You barely scratched the surface on the Denis Martin case.
Yeah. The other family was a few miles away from where the Martin's were. The other family wanted to do some bear sighting. As they were walking they saw a black humanoid thing a mile or so away from where they were. At first they thought it was a bear but then it let out a horrendous scream the likes they have never heard. They said it was so loud. They decided to get out of there but when the father took another look, he noticed the humanoid thing was running upright and it looked like something was on It's back. He said it looked like a child. That occurred an hour or so after Dennis went missing.
The Green Berets coming in to do their own private search with zero communication with the parks search effort is very suspicious. Green Berets don't look for missing people. Their job is usually recon missions and homeland security missions. Something was happening that was big. The Green Berets wouldn't talk to anyone. The fbi also got involved too. Something serious happened in that Dennis Martin case that they don't want people to know about. The fbi lied and hid a lot of info from the Martin family.
Andrew Ruiz maybe the black humanoid creature was an expirement gone wrong that have escaped from the fbi headquarters and that's why the Green Berets did what they did. ya never know
Geraldine Largay was recently found just a few miles from the trail she disappeared from in Maine. She died of lack of food and water. It's Scary how easy it is to get confused and lost in a forest.
Growing up in Colorado, I spent a lot of time camping and A LOT of time wondering the forest on my own or with a few cousins while my parents hung out at camp. Watching these stories is not only scary, but make me sad as I will never be able to give my kids that kind of freedom when roaming the forest.
scary thing aliens could be doing weird shit to people or a corporation cuz the forest is such a hug place and you can hide almost anywhere. or probably other, super natural things. It's a scary thought
I said they could be doing it. i didn't say they where. could be something else but who knows the forest is big. And something I don't won't to be stuck in
Top 5 thank you! I find this a very interesting topic, I just got back from Mt. Shasta and there is several of these types of cases(cluster zone) as well as other mysteries, here in Humboldt(redwood forest) plus 2 neighboring counties Trinity and Mendocino we call the "emerald triangle" and there is many missing people here that can fall under the 411 criteria, anyone interested in more cases I can send them your way. Top 5 what about the "Pusher" in Manchester have you looked into that?
First of all, all respect to who made this video and posted it, for making this professional video in respect to the missing and their families. Thank you and I hope you don't mind me posting this here: Some advice to keep from being another victim of disappearances in National Parks: I am 52 now and spent many years raising horses, rescuing horses and raising buffalo and caring for them all. To do this, I spent a lot of time on large amounts of various lands throughout my life packing and camping alone not only for my work but also for the love of the outdoors. It was my church in that I felt closer to God in those places far from civilization. I had been doing a research myself after watching and reading dozens of disappearances and I noticed a lot of things in common just as you all may have noticed by now. So I am writing the following to help explain what I think may be some of the reasons some of these things happen and to list what you can do to prevent becoming a victim. One thing I learned was that above 8,000 feet people begin to lack oxygen and it gets worse the higher you go from there. Headache is a sign. If you feel any sense of headache, stop and rest and elevate your feet. Also, if you like coffee it can open the blood vessels/capillaries to allow more oxygen flow. It may be best to spend the night there before you go any higher the next day. And as most of us know, a lack of oxygen can have side effects, one of the main ones being, disorientation & confusion. Medications and drugs my cause more issues. You want to always be in control of your mind so mind altering substances combined with less oxygen is going to cause someone to get themselves lost and hurt. There could be different things going on in different people that could add to that, such as heart conditions or high or low blood pressure, which would cause oxygen issues in the brain in which is oxygen is carried through the bloodstream from the heart. I majority of people missing, that are found later, are found to have fallen to their deaths. As far as the shoes missing. Often in hiking, one will get their shoes wet or muddy, for example, and people will remove their shoes and socks to let them dry. People take their shoes off when they sleep or enter their tent or sleeping bag. If they get spooked, it's often at night and then they may flee in fear, leaving their belongings behind. They aren't going to take their time to put on their shoes and tie them. Fleeing in the dark leaves you open to a variety of accidents happening, falling on rocks, falling off cliffs, mountains, into flowing rivers, head injuries, broken bones, even death, which may not be related to the above reasons at all. Perhaps some people, like myself, like to take shoes off and walk to feel a connection with the earth. However, it doesn't explain children at ages as young as two taking their shoes and socks off for those reasons, but a lot of kids that age take their shoes and socks off anyway because they don't wear them much. This is not by no means an answer to every disappearance but somethings to consider. We have to learn and try to pass the word that people must not go by themselves into these places alone. Most these disappearances, the person was alone, fell behind, or were separated from their group. It doesn't matter if you're in great condition or female, child or what, no one should go it alone. Also, make sure you check in with the park rangers before you go, they may have relevant information you need to know of some current hazards such as avalanche warnings or storm warnings. I notice some have gone missing and there items/gear is left in their automobile. I assume they were scoping things out or taking a quick bathroom break or something. They walk up to a half mile from the car just to get a look around. Always take your gear because anything can happen. You have to make a survival list with items of plenty for water, food, warmth, a person with you, preferably a way to contact the outside world, compass, maps, gps, and make sure you let people know where you are going and check in at intervals, at least once a day even if you have someone with you. Another thing about shoes, you're are most likely going to get your shoes wet crossing creeks and rivers, or rained on in a lot of places. So have proper gear to protect your entire self from rain. You get wet, your temperature drops especially when the cold then hits in day or night. Carry the following: spare dry stuff, sleeping bag, first aid kit, tent, plenty of rope, plenty of water and more of it, knife, blanket, backup knife, zip lock bag them up, and plenty of dry items and a fire source. Most of you know this but any of those things forgotten can put yourself at risk. I would always take a self defense weapon and a back up. I think a lot of people probably get lost and suffer from exposure, overheated or cold, a temperature drop or even a swim can cause hypothermia. Heat stroke can come quick as well if you are lost and keep going. Body temperature can drop or rise, and you not even realize it until it's serious or too late. It also good to have a hat to keep your heat from escaping your body through the top of your head if its cold. Also a hat will attract attention, so it is good to have a bright colored one along so you don't get shot by a random hunter or your easier to spot if you get lost. Do not hike in the dark, even if you are lost, or panic and run in the dark, there is a huge chance you'll fall. I think most of the people who hike or camp take their shoes off at night, to let their feet air out and feet are sore and swollen. If they get spooked, which is easy because you're going to hear sounds you are not familiar with, its good to have a tent and stay in it. Do not keep anything that smells in your tent, tie it up a decent distance from your camp between two trees in the air. Animals smell something different, they're curious. They even smell you and your stuff outside and inside the tent. Panic will get you killed. I have had wolves from two different packs investigate my camp at night at the same time and they got into a fight. My fire was still bright enough that I could see their shadows through the tent fighting. It sounded like baby's screaming and such, especially when coyotes fight. Anyway, most people that hike and camp know these things and I am sure I left some out but wanted to cover as much as could. I was camping alone with my horse once along a creek and I kept hearing footsteps walk from down the creek line up to the edge of my camp site and stop. I could hear the crunch of the leaves on each step. I was laying pretty close to the fire to stay warm and was actually not in the tent and had wood next to me to keep the fire stoked through the night because it was cold. The steps would walk up about 5 feet behind me. I ignored it about 5 times because I had positioned my sleeping spot so that if anyone were to walk up behind me I could see their shadow by the light of the moon or fire. I always try to think defensive. Well, there was no shadow and whatever it was had two feet not four. I was reluctant to get out of my sleeping bag because it was warm inside, freezing out. But I got up, between hearing it walk off again, and I waited for it to come back. It did, I heard it walking, it walked right up to me within 2 to 4 feet, there was absolutely nothing there, just the sound. Whatever it was, it was just curious. I even spoke to it respectively and laid back down and it never bothered me again, so I fell asleep through the rest of the night. We never know what's out there. But don't overreact and panic, most of all ... like i said, take someone with you. I was alone because I lived out there alone and was working. God bless and stay safe. I am not saying that some disappearances are not a result of something unknown, supernatural or whatever else. Usually there is a natural explanations for things once the story is revealed, but it's very easy to see some of these are very strange and creepy. For example, a predator doesn't eat shoes whether the predator is human, big foot, animal or whatever. As far as UFO's. If I were an alien with the intention to experiment by abducting humans, I would obviously have advanced technology & maybe stealth ability. If I were to abduct people, I would do it where I would lease be detected and my ship could easily travel and hidden, just like these places. Considering most alien abductees who claim to be experimented on are experimented on in the ship, if the human I abducted had died, I wouldn't waste my time dropping them off back where I picked them up at, I would drop them off at the closest convenient location to my ship, on top of a mountain. Just things to think about. I know that's strange but we don't even know every species of life on earth, how can we expect there not going to be anything else out there in a never ending universe full of planets. We can't possibly be the only one with life. There's been crop circles, mutilated animals, many cows the blood removed out of them and they show that they were dropped from a good distance above the ground. There is so many mystery's we might not be able to explain. Reasons people go missing: They get lost, severe injury, animal attack (Bobcat, Mountain lion, Bears, Snakes, etc.), overexposure to the elements, drowning, falling, starving, foul play, abduction, suicide by those that don't want to be found, and also possibly a few that planned to purposely disappear in order to start a new life. If anyone has anything to add, please do, knowledge is something we all have room for more.. With respect to mother earth and the animals, please leave your camp the way you found it before it was your camp. Do not litter or leave fire unattended or hot coals behind. God bless you and stay safe, Bearclawws
Top 5's, could you cover the strange case of stairways leading to nowhere in national parks? I hear it's quite common and no one really knows how they got there or why. Great video by the way :)
+David Godfrey A google search will give you a ton of info, pictures and encounter stories about them (Type in "staircases in national parks") I believe CorpseHusband has covered the topic before but here is one post in particular where a park ranger describes what he and others in his SAR unit have discovered www.reddit.com/r/nosleep/comments/3iex1h/im_a_search_and_rescue_officer_for_the_us_forest/ (go to the last post.) This is just one of many examples however there is a ton of evidence to back up their existence. Hope this helped :)
Bubblegum Witch I'm not saying its a 100% fake, however remember people tend to exaggerate or go a long way make things appear true. There's genereally a scientific explanation for everything.
I know this is a long shot, does anyone happen to know the little blonde boy in the bottom right hand corner in the red shirt at 0:09?? I had to do a double take because he looks just like my son who ISNT missing. In fact he is sitting right next to me wearing an identical red shirt, same hair cut, same eyes, nose, everything! Im interested in finding out who that little boy is because he could seriously be my sons twin. Iv zoomed in on the picture and examined it and that is creeping me out even more.
Geraldine was only 10 minutes away from the trail (In a forest that is not far at all) For an experienced hiker that is very bizarre, as she could have used her compass to "test search" a different direction from the tent each day and return to the tent before nightfall. Unless she was physically injured in some way? A very Sad and bizarre story
Right now we have a missing person case here in Denmark that's been unsolved in almost half a year. A girl called Emilie Meng has been missing since early july and since there has been found NOTHING.
There's an interesting story on Reddit no sleep, it's called "I'm a Search and Rescue Officer for the US Forest Service, and I have some stories to tell" by searchandrescuewoods. Anyone who likes creepy stories should check it out. Another good one is "I found a diary while I was hiking in New Hampshire. I have to admit, I’m thoroughly creeped out by what was written inside." by iia. While it's not about disappearances, it's still pretty creepy.
I reckon it'd be fake as well but I heard the people on the "no sleep" subreddit treat scary stories such as these as "real" to make the story feel intense and make the reader feel emotions. There are so many more scary stories as well. So many to keep people up at night haha
Stunning video as always. Your videos are so interesting that feels less than just 1 minuet. Never stop with your videos, promise me that. A wish is that because it is nearly Christmas and New Year can swell to make an extra long video with mysterious videos(no ghost videos) Please! :D
Slenderman You would think so but the kids are only like two or three feet away from the parents when they go missing. They would have at least heard something, like their kid screaming or the animals roar. But nothing. The kids are just gone. Listen to some of David Paulides's videos here on RUclips. There is something sinister going on in those parks. This video doesn't even sratch the surface of what's happening there.
I respect your opinion but I HIGHLY doubt there's something sinister going on besides animal attacks or getting lost. It's easy to resort to that thinking, but when you think about how massive forests and wildlife really are, it's easy to get lost and confused and also easy to get dehydrated, which adds to confusion. I believe the boy fell more behind than 2 or 3 feet, then made a wrong turn, then got attack or just kept going the wrong way. I believe there's a rational explanation for each death and disappearance in this video. But it is interesting to think about if there's more out there than we really know. But I highly doubt there's anything too substantial.
Brandon Young Listen to David Paulides and read his books. There is a lot more to it than just animal attacks. Hundreds of people are going missing in national parks under very weird circumstances. Children going missing two feet away from their parents when the parents look away for a few second. This is so common in the national parks and the park service is hiding and keeping a lot of info from the public that they don't want us to know. Find a video that gives you the full run down of the Dennis Martin case. That's a great place to start. Don't just take my word for it. Do your own research on the topic and you'll see something sinister is going on.
Andrew Ruiz I don't think I've seen David, but I have watched some documentaries about disappearances. I'm not saying it's impossible that something's going on, but I just think with parks and wilderness that massive there are bound to be cases of disappearance. I"d even say there are some cases where parents murder their children and stage it, or just random people take others out to murder them. I don't think there's a government conspiracy, aliens, ghosts, or something more unlikely than that. Just a lot of people either doing crime or not paying attention to their surroundings.
super sonic I don't think so, but you never know. However, the FBI did studies and found that a child could be abducted without a sound in ten seconds or less. Most parents who hear a noise tune it out because kids always make noise!
Crazy how three people went missing around the same area and never was heard from again. I wish I knew what happened imagine being able to go back in time and hiding in the woods and being able to see what actually happened. Whether it's aliens, animals, humans or just some kinda freak accident it would be awesome to know the truth
"They go missing within moments of last being seen" seems kind of like that's the definition of anyone going missing. kind of like saying I found my keys in the last place I looked.
I agree with many of the comments about the high standard of this channel. Besides the great content, It's the subtle choice of music along with your voice really makes this one one of the better channels on here. Great work indeed.
This is why I feel like I need to put tracking devices on my kids whenever I have them. Say what you want about privacy, but the last thing I ever want is for us to go on a camping trip to somewhere I feel like we know well only for one of them to disappear and never be seen again.
Tristian McMillan yeah, but people do go missing all the time. Especially in winter when places like crater lake get 12 feet or more snow. That is why it is best to stick close to the roads.

5 Mysterious Unsolved Family Disappearances: www.top5s.co.uk/five-unsolved-family-disappearances
Top5s Do a video on the Mandela Effect. That would be cool.
Top5s, thanks for letting us know. Your videos are very interesting and creepy. Keep it up 👍🏻
Top5s great video dude! keep up the great work. this one is creepy! and really does make you think
could you please make a documentary video of WHY NASA DIDN'D RETURN TO THE MOON AFTER 1972. Its a request bro could you please make it.
Top5s SEE,
I think anyone that has spent enough time in the wilds of the US will tell you, there's shit out there. You don't know what it is, you might never see anything, but often you can't shake the feeling of being watched and knowing you're not alone even when you think you are.
Thats every woodland/forrest area dear, not just the US
Do you mean by people or by bears and shit, i'm not American never been to a big national park, would it be very likely some crazy guy might have taken at least one, what are your views on no.1?
Gwyn Plaine
You're right.
Yeah. Bigfoot
What have we learned from this:
Before heading out into the wild:
-implant GPS chip inside your body.
-always carry a gun.
-always carry signal flare gun.
-always carry smartphone with solar charger and GPS support.
And food and water/bottle
2SSSR2 Multiple chips.
2SSSR2 excellent advice
What if I told you, that some people go into the wild to learn to survive alone and not surviving with guns and phones 😒
what about kids?
"The Psychology of Lost"
Meggsy104 what if she went on the hike just to purposely die didn't commit suicide but rather starve to death and "say" in her journal she lost track. Dun dun dunnnnn
You know most top 10 or top whatever are usually just click bait, and aren't really worth all the views they get. But your videos are interesting and are really good, keep it up man.
+Oops I made a Channel Thanks man
Oops I made a Channel his top 5s are actually intresting, other channels are stupid
Top5s I also want to say that I love your videos, and I never tire of watching them. Best top 5 videos channel on RUclips by far, hope you host your own TV show one day.
yup
I agree. I enjoy watching these videos a lot.
I'm so glad you finally did one on the national park disappearences. Truly scary stories.
its happening in state parks and rural areas as well
brown dwarf It's also happening in urban areas too.
Hundreds of national parks disappear every year!
Dark Sunday Television right on bro! Rusty is on it!

metalhammer5 true that
Thanks!
Top5s i love your channel. Definitely the best on RUclips. Nice to see a British RUclipsr making a success
The woods are a such a scary place. Who knows what could possibly live there whithout us knowing?
Given the size of the wilderness in the US, it's a fair question. There are still likely parts of the continental US that ever never seen a person before so who knows what could survive in these fringe areas.
LieutenantPants The Demogorgon in the UPSIDE DOWN! Sorry I couldn't help myself, but the thought of different dimensions all around us and the government trying to figure out how they work and who lives there. It's only a matter of time before an actual Demogorgon comes out to play.
LieutenantPants like Sasquatch
sclock2 no where in the lower 48 are you farther than 24 miles from a paved road. I don't think a breeding population of at least 10000 large primates could go without any evidence other than blurry photos and videos especially since everyone in the woods has a camera today
LieutenantPants My good friend Jason Voorhees lives in a forest... 🔪
AllurebyRL Jones do you have a link please?
Paula Unger sorry I don't but just put in David Paulides both in RUclips and google and you will have no probs finding him. Definitely worth the time looking into as it is very very fascinating !
He is a fraud
Yes he is
yapyapyap if you're going to insult someone like that at least have the decency to say why.
The disappearance of my hairline since I was like 15 years old remains unsolved
you're a baldy... case closed.
TheSirStu L
excessive masturbation? what is the # of times a day that masturbation is diagnosed excessive?. I have really disciplined myself to 8 times a day. at one time I maxed out at 24 times a day. I'm bald.. and I'm a recovering excessive masturbator

DeadMoNeyProductions BP have you checked your palms!!! Lol
When Dennis Martin went missing, a couple that was picnicking a few miles away, said they saw a "bear" that was walking upright on two feet and it looked like it was carrying something that resembled a small child, over its shoulder. Very strange.
Maybe it was a Big Foot
sasquatch most likely.
That more than likely was a Sasquatch. They're known to abduct children. Native American lore speaks heavily on it.
Jonathan Colon That's what I thought, too.
@@jonathancolon111 "more than likely" *no-one has ever found physical evidence of bigfoot*
why would you hike with a 4 year old and then leave him alone
EmBro for a utube vid
Seriously! The weakest/ youngest/ smallest need to be in the middle of the group.
I dont think they left him alone. He was probably walking with them, than saw something interesting and went off to explore it. It could've been just at the side of the trail. It says in the vid that his parents told him to catch up after just a short moment. It often takes just a moment for something like this to happen and you cant blame the parents.
Or at least always have an adult walking beside him. This is especially the case if you're walking by a river
EmBro I know. Why hike with a four yr old anyway?
Top 5 creepiest sound ever recorded in the woods at night
GamingwithRko OMG YESSSSS!
GamingwithRko it would kinda be hard finding 5 good, credible videos of that
Krheej you mad bro? please leave if you are triggered
Krheej dam mate is not bad that you haven't tap yet it's OK man just wait it out
Jean Espinosa your right but maybe in the woods or like near a lakehouse
I don't why but everytime i see videos like this i feel I am being haunted ;( but it's so addictive
Does that include the ones about paranormal stuff?
NiveA 807 Dude Same
NiveA 807 you're not alone buddy and I don't mean that like you're being haunted I mean that like that I agree with you on what you're saying
I thought I was the only one!
Yes.
But there's still hour-long docs on it, and clips of it in The Simpsons and supposedly "Wreck it, Ralph."
From there, I found a truly bizarre video game of a Chuck E.
But then, Bob Ross lulled me to sleep in under 3 minutes, so happy ending.
i clicked on this video thinking that 5 national parks have disappeared

Jizldiedizl B National Parks are protected by the government, so no one is allowed to do any damage to the forest:)

Phenomenon of 'Paradoxical undressing'
There was a comment in one of the RUclips videos on mysterious disappearances. The guy said he'd been camping with his Dad, then suddenly felt the urge to take off his shirt and run away. He started undressing, when he was stopped by his Dad. He said he felt euphoria. I wonder if it has something to do with people who get undressed and are later found dead.

I just live your voice...eerie yet soothing

I got lost in the grocery store when I was a kid. I went missing in the dairy section, but was found mysteriously near some AA batteries. To this day nobody knows how I came to be there.
TITANSPIRIT tell what you remember of getting lost. Did you walk there, etc.
TITANSPIRIT The hell?
TITANSPIRIT 2spooky
What a traumatic experience 😰We may never know what really happened that day...
TITANSPIRIT
Pine Cone interesting
Pine Cone That's really interesting.
interesting do you know if he had missing time?
Pine Cone if this story is legit contact David Paulides. Google is your friend.

Lol
Whoever you are, wherever you from. I just want to say cheer up. Life is beautiful!
Ernie Royo life isn't beautiful
Ernie Royo seriously?
Ernie Royo it can be beautiful but so much ugliness and hatred have clouded the waters. So many human beings need help and people who have wonderful lives and never faced any adversity keep saying "cheer up, life is beautiful"...you try and cheer up when your child is sleeping in the dirt and dying from an incurable disease or when your wife of 20 years cheats on you, gets half of your belongings and is still able to screw the other guy....yeah life sure is beautiful but the moldy patch here on Earth called humanity needs to be purged.
No I'm to Cynical and Pessimistic to cheer up.
RIP Gerry.
how can a whole National Park disappear?
ArchimedeanEye good one!
Aliens
Da King in da Norf The lannisters send their regards.
No one knows ,King George national park has been missing from NYC since October 1983. No one knows where said national park has gone or what had happened to it .
eso tambien se me hizo raro... pero pos quien sabe si ellos dicen verdad????
Very interesting, no wonder I don't like camping,
I don't understand why Geraldine gave up? There has to be something sinister that went on there... I've never hiked and I wouldn't give up, or stay in the same position for that long.
yeah, from what ive heard her experience hiking is a bit overstated here.
It was believed she had trouble with a compass? But even then you need a good topgraphic map for your route to be safe enough,
2K10 Desperados maybe the stuff written in her dairy were made up
she looked old. maybe something happened to her like she went crazy or dementia?
@Vincent M. k
Do you edit these video at night? Alone?
Btw your voice make the vids even scarier

Love your videos! And your voice is so smooth and fitting!
Much better than Merc and Criminally Listed.
Never hike alone... period!
Too late
Yea if you’re a poosey
You are always so respectful towards the victims and their families and I really appreciate that.
I don't want to say bigfoot but I'm gonna say, bigfoot.
Most likely a Cougar or Mountain Lion for the kids... They attack fast and grab the neck and just run off like the kids weigh nothing.
People should check out Missing 411. There are some really weird disappearances out there with no explanation. SOmetimes, weird theories are put forward. But even the most logical don't add up, sadly fueling the conspiracies. But still interesting to check out.
Nibbit
That was the guy who put the fact out that 900,000 people a year vanish in state parks, right?
Nibbit okay
Go read the books missing 411 you will never wanna leave your house
oh WTF! it cost $120.00 dollars! Not to even mention the shipping! + that book looks AMAZING!!!!
Autum Tatiana their only 24 dollars now don't go through amazon though go to missing 411 and you'll find all his books for a lot cheaper and they are worth it
Autum Tatiana and why pay for it at all when you can get it free on Pirate Bay.
Heck, you can read it through Google for that matter.
Kat Kenobi oh that's cool I just like supporting David Paulides
missing 411 is the craziest book. It's so fucked up
Michael Jaeschke I wanna buy that book but it's expensive as fuck
The book is interesting, but a lot of what David Paulides (the author) says needs to be taken with a grain of salt.
What is it about?
You haven't been making videos for a long time I'm glad u made one again top 5s
I love these videos so much, you're voice is so amazing, its like soothing and calm, and you have a lot of interesting information in the video, (and all of ur videos) keep up the good work:)

Michael Nelson whats wrong with Dolan?
Marco Pico nothing he just does creepy videos
Marco Pico He downgraded by making interesting videos to having shit topics filled with usless characters to narrate and advertise their channel.
Michael Nelson thats a shame..
Great content as always.
My favorite cases are always the ones where a body is found, but under very strange circumstances or with strange wounds.
please do a documentary on comparing life to The Sims
That's really sad.
Andrew Ruiz maybe the black humanoid creature was an expirement gone wrong that have escaped from the fbi headquarters and that's why the Green Berets did what they did. ya never know
what if there was a hole in the ground only big enough for small humans to fall through and all these people just got trapped in a cave?
Jacob Ellinger yes the last one may be a case of that
tanmay pathak I was thinking the same thing. All where kids and all in the same area.
WELL YOU HAVE A POINT.
a hole that can't be seen by adults?
kan xue not if you are searching a big area and there is only one small hole
they accidentally stumbled upon a portal
I love your channel. I go through videos in your playlist everyday to find videos I haven't seen yet.
Good idea for topic! I've never seen a national park disappearance video! Good stuff!

Geraldine Largay was recently found just a few miles from the trail she disappeared from in Maine. She died of lack of food and water. It's Scary how easy it is to get confused and lost in a forest.
I love ur narration,thumbs up!👍🏻👍🏻
Look forward to your videos everytime. I always try to watch them as soon as they come out 😊!
Love your voice, really makes the video! 😊😊
Love this guys voice. Such a good story teller. The top 15 guys voice sounds like an anxty teen. "Dah dah dah dah dah duhhhhhh" that's how he talks.
Cheery Saturday morning video
I get goosebumps watching these
Growing up in Colorado, I spent a lot of time camping and A LOT of time wondering the forest on my own or with a few cousins while my parents hung out at camp. Watching these stories is not only scary, but make me sad as I will never be able to give my kids that kind of freedom when roaming the forest.
another amazing video. thanks for always making such great content!
am i the only one who loves this guys voice?
bewapotato no?
I love it too!
scary thing aliens could be doing weird shit to people or a corporation cuz the forest is such a hug place and you can hide almost anywhere. or probably other, super natural things. It's a scary thought
Jacob Morales "Aliens."
I said they could be doing it. i didn't say they where. could be something else but who knows the forest is big. And something I don't won't to be stuck in
Jacob Morales I was just pulling your leg, it is very mysterious though.
BlueKnight "mysterious" scary shit man scary shit
Brundy Jones DAAAAAAMMMMMNNNNN
Top 5 thank you! I find this a very interesting topic, I just got back from Mt. Shasta and there is several of these types of cases(cluster zone) as well as other mysteries, here in Humboldt(redwood forest) plus 2 neighboring counties Trinity and Mendocino we call the "emerald triangle" and there is many missing people here that can fall under the 411 criteria, anyone interested in more cases I can send them your way. Top 5 what about the "Pusher" in Manchester have you looked into that?
I look forward to your video's every week! Thanks for doing them :)
First of all, all respect to who made this video and posted it, for making this professional video in respect to the missing and their families. Thank you and I hope you don't mind me posting this here:
Some advice to keep from being another victim of disappearances in National Parks:
I am 52 now and spent many years raising horses, rescuing horses and raising buffalo and caring for them all.
God bless you and stay safe,
Bearclawws
I really liked the questions you can answer on the side
Top 5's, could you cover the strange case of stairways leading to nowhere in national parks? I hear it's quite common and no one really knows how they got there or why. Great video by the way :)
never heard of this before... sounds really interesting!
I've heard of those, but I thought they were just Creepypastas.
interesting
Doppelganger
All you white people look the the same.
Everyone has a look alike
That was an original topic to discuss. Great job. Nature can be both beautiful and deadly.
Last time I was this early,
This joke was still funny.
No.5 was the most gripping to me personally
More than that, I'm afraid...
Right now we have a missing person case here in Denmark that's been unsolved in almost half a year.
A girl called Emilie Meng has been missing since early july and since there has been found NOTHING.
Your videos are so well researched. Amazing.
Another great video as always!
Jessica D I think it's fake though :( really well written and entertaining though!!
I reckon it'd be fake as well but I heard the people on the "no sleep" subreddit treat scary stories such as these as "real" to make the story feel intense and make the reader feel emotions. There are so many more scary stories as well. So many to keep people up at night haha
Camille Voyage yeah, most scary stories are, but don’t say they are fake or you might ruin it for others! It’s all about the suspension of disbelief.
1:30am here in California. Looks like I'm not sleeping!
Selene Banuelos same here, greetings from East Los Angeles 😁
jose Jimenez greetings!! Lol
Selene Banuelos 17:39 in the far east.
Selene Banuelos - Thailand here....4:45pm....
Top5 barely uploaded this an hour ago and has so much views crazy!! Your the best bro keep it up!!! Your videos are amazing
you should do a documentary on JonBenet, it's a really interesting unsolved case, and Id like to hear about your research on it
Andrew Guerrero Fucking love your profile pic

EB12 fuck fuck fuck fuck.

+Serenity thank you, yours is cute too
+Serenity You're so edgy omg
Stunning video as always. Your videos are so interesting that feels less than just 1 minuet. Never stop with your videos, promise me that. A wish is that because it is nearly Christmas and New Year can swell to make an extra long video with mysterious videos(no ghost videos) Please! :D
watched all of your videos and im always eagerly awaiting your next one. Amazing stuff
More videos like these please and more true crime.
Pretty sure the ones where the kid is struggling to keep up with the group are animal attacks. Picking off the weak & smallest of the group.
Andrew Ruiz aliens bro
Andrew Ruiz I don't think I've seen David, but I have watched some documentaries about disappearances. I'm not saying it's impossible that something's going on, but I just think with parks and wilderness that massive there are bound to be cases of disappearance. I"d even say there are some cases where parents murder their children and stage it, or just random people take others out to murder them. I don't think there's a government conspiracy, aliens, ghosts, or something more unlikely than that. Just a lot of people either doing crime or not paying attention to their surroundings.
again this is a stretch but maybe aliens for the last kid
super sonic
I don't think so, but you never know. However, the FBI did studies and found that a child could be abducted without a sound in ten seconds or less. Most parents who hear a noise tune it out because kids always make noise!
I guess
Now that's fucking scary
Crazy how three people went missing around the same area and never was heard from again. I wish I knew what happened imagine being able to go back in time and hiding in the woods and being able to see what actually happened. Whether it's aliens, animals, humans or just some kinda freak accident it would be awesome to know the truth
Or aliens for all the kids.
Good on the V For Vendetta guy for making a cameo in the thumbnail.
Top5's is one of the best ever channels i have ever subscribed to!!
"They go missing within moments of last being seen" seems kind of like that's the definition of anyone going missing.
kind of like saying I found my keys in the last place I looked.
I live in Yosemite and this makes me uncomfortable.
^^he did it.
so sad and creepy but I like to watch videos like these to learn from the errors of others.
I know I believe in all that demonic shit, it's best to always be with big groups so u won't go down without any witnesses.
Another great vid !
Why do people dislike Top 5's videos? There is completely nothing wrong which his content.
Is called an opinion dick mouth
From the comments I have read, 95% of them are about his voice/dialect/pronunciation.
@@proudmilitarybrat76 which is utterly stupid.
@@theguy3129 I agree. Don't shoot the messenger. Lol
It is pretty cool to see you do a piece on a park in my home state of Oregon, especially since I was just at crater lake a week ago.
Must be terrifying knowing someone went missing.
Tristian McMillan yeah, but people do go missing all the time. Especially in winter when places like crater lake get 12 feet or more snow. That is why it is best to stick close to the roads.
kooken58 bruh I live in Portland, I always thought we were a unknown city because anyone hardly talks about us lol
love your channel mate I've been watching your videos for months and I have now subscribed! ☺
Another great video! keep up the good work Top5s!
