If England win the world cup. I can't wait to see a full documentary with all these videos cut together of the 8 year journey this squad has had. These videos have been a great insight to the top level and how a tier one nation prepares for some of the biggest tournaments in rugby. From a neutral well done England.
Good god that was immense. Loooved it! Always feel like I learn something when I listen to Eddie, this time the S&C team too. Fascianting stuff. It upsets me 10million aren't watching it!
@@kenrehill8775 Yes, we played better first half, but winning a world cup is not just about playing fantastic rugby, it's about getting the job done and making sure you win. That's what we did
it strikes me that these players are incredibly lucky to be in this setup. they are very privileged - i'm not having a dig, it's just kind of amazing how much goes into making them the best they can be. they are at the top of their sport obviously, so they 'deserve' the best treatment, but they're still extremely fortunate (compared to say, the samoan team). i'm sure this setup is lightyears ahead of other teams (even previous england teams) in how much energy is spent on keeping them in a good headspace, getting on well with each other, making sure they enjoy it - to say nothing of the sports science stuff, which i assume most/all of the leading teams have access to.
Hearing no noise in the background as they play is haunting! Even just having 25 fans singing would help! Cant wait to be back there, I'll never complain about not being able to hear yourself think because of the noise ever again haha!
I think you can over analyse things sometimes , not with the fitness side but with the game itself , it can box you in a bit. I think this England team are over coached at times. When you are surprising not only the opposition but also your team mates during a game with your decision making I think it is a positive thing and a great weapon.
pretty much the same speed as usain bolt's 100m world record, except of course he averaged that for the whole 100m. these rugby players are lightning - obviously they don't train for 100m, so they are probably quicker than Bolt over 20-30m.
@@tommacmillan8831 Not quite; add about 10 more to that number. There were points (stride segments) in some of Usain's races where he hits 50kph. There is a BIG difference between elite world-class sprinters and world-class "field" athletes. To give you an idea of how fast track athletes can move, during the 400m world record race, the second 100m was run in 9.7 seconds or faster by the medalists.
Wouldn't it be fun to compare stats to those of England players of the last 30 years? I know they didn't do much testing but it would be fun to compare, say, Vunipola to Leonard or May to Underwood.
It must be tough as a captain - Owen constantly having to tell his team mates that "this team could be something special" while picking up losses and especially loosing when it matters. Well, good on England for winning this game but oh man...the amount of money, time and energy that goes into creating this "high performance" environment is scary.
Imagine being Watson and having to wear boxing gloves to catch a high ball, you couldn't make this stuff up! If the England full back can't catch a ball wtf is he doing there
@@Chris-jt4ux He has played fullback for England a number of times and for his club. It's fair to call him a full back. However, the same applies as a winger expected to catch a high ball.
I genuinely don’t get your point? Are you saying that any fullback at international level should never practice catching a high ball at training as it should be a given skill they have?
Also, why are they looking to develop England players speed and strength? Saying they've got data on Curry, Wilson etc to measure newcomers against is pointless.
