This is so awesome that you guys started an independent channel. When I saw you were clearly absent from the new man at arms content, I was left scratching my head for the longest while. I'm glad I stumbled upon this, in my opinion you guys were the heart of that channel.
To be honest even on the old channel my favorite builds you guys did were the historical ones. While fancy noble swords and fantasy swords(except stuff like LorR because they are all based on real swords minus a few) are cool you making the functional stuff that people had to use in real life was more interesting. I would love a Gladius or Falx, maybe even something like a Yatagan or one of the many types of Dao or Jian if you not feeling the ancient European style. I just feel like Iconic swords from history that were actually used as primary or secondary weapons had to be good(or you were dead) so there is a lot more that went into the evolution of their design and I just think it's cooler.
For what it's worth you guys could forge a iron outhouse and I would be like "Hell yeah, have a look at that"I just love seeing the passion and love you put into every build!
Ilya is one of the best blacksmiths of our time.. if not rhe best modern Smith. Using old and modern techniques. His ability to read the metal and know when and where to strike is unparalleled

There are some amazing historical African Weapons that I would love to see made. Most of which I cannot spell. The originals are made of Iron and very old so it would be very interesting to see a high quality reproduction made. You could do a whole experimental archeology thing with it if you want. I love that you guys are back into making swords, this is awesome. I love what you guys do. Can I suggest that you use more narration. The long periods of just footage and music had me losing focus. I enjoy when you guys point out something technical or provide some insight into a technique or even a little back story about you guys. I even enjoy just hearing you describe what you are doing and why. Also it would be awesome to include a pre-build discussion of what the difficulties of the build are going to be etc to give context for the build. for instance I would love to see how you plan a build and how you estimate how much stock to use for your blade.
It looks like they're in a new shop, but Kerry is Matt's brother--I hope they didn't have some kind of falling out. Looking around online, it looks like the parent company of AweMe went out of business so they stopped producing the show. I really hope Matt and Ilya tell everyone what happened at some point.

Fuegoleon represents the life-giving side, considering he not only stays calm in nearly every circumstance, but also builds people up while fieecely protecting what's important to him. Mereoleona is the destructive side, not only completely _thrashing_ her enemies and beating them to death with raw power, but also pushing her allies to essentially destroy their old selves and grow even stronger. They both represent fire, in all its forms and symbolisms, which is why they're both so intriguing and incredible characters. Yuki Tabata is a genius charater writer, through and through, and that elevates Black Clover to a truly fantastic series.

Used to be all file work in smith shops. Almost half the work was filing. Accurate forging saves on that and grinding. Good to see the skills exhibited and not really relying on grinding so much.
That was an awesome and super educational build. I love that even on an anime build I can learn some new techniques I hadn't thought of. I'd love to see Inosuke's or Tonjiro's Katana from Demon Slayer.
