Hi my name is Carl Jacobson,
I started woodworking with my grandfather as a young boy. I continued woodworking through high school, and started woodturning after seeing a turned project in a friends shop. Some of my fondest memories are working with my grandfather in his wood shop. Being able to share our passion for woodworking, ties it all together. We also do a lot of epoxy projects as well as woodturning.

Very cool. The burl really makes the piece look like a mushroom growing on the forest floor. Looks great -- your proportions for the mushroom cap really work well.
Very timely. Our club President’s challenge this month is a turning with a magnet(s) in it.
A very cool project that will create a talking piece for anyone’s desk.

Really neat little project. Small bugs with a tiny magnet glued to their bellys would be cool, or resin droplets with magnets inside.

Neat idea on the magnet. I am working on a lidded box and I think I will try putting in a magnet - now if I can just remember where I put the magnets :) Happy 4th!

Hello Carl. One of the things I have struggled with is how to tell when mesh sand paper should be thrown out.
I usually just feel them you can kind of tell when the grits wearing off.
