This is my FAVOURITE guitar recording - I have the vinyl record, I kept it even after I sold my record player. I once read a comment on RUclips about Segovia's sound being cosmic towards the end of his life, that's the best description of his sound to me. Thank you for uploading this, I've been searching for it for ages..... it makes my hair stand on end.
I am a Japanese. I am very happy to know that four people (too many) love this piece. Off course, I like this piece, too. In this vynil record, Segovia's sound or tone is like a withered leaf. but this point is very important and beautiful. Maybe all of you know that Segovia changed quite a lot the third movement of the musical score that Asencio composed, but It is more beautiful. I think this piece is rarely played, but maybe only Paola Requena, a female guitarist, plays this on RUclips, but not like Segovia, faithfully according to the sheet music of Asencio.
Well put Yoshiki. Yes! I know Paola (not personally) she is a very excellent guitarist with an infectious personality. Agree Paola would love to play this beautiful piece. Love and miss you Maestro Segovia!
Are you one who likes mechanical fast and sterile playing that so many younger guitaristas play like? They have no soul in their music. This is pure tranquility.
One of my all time favourite bits of guitar music. So naturally recorded and beautifully played.

I think he became more "immaterial", less body
@@fernandogoes7218Yes, he is in freeflow, after 50 plus years I know the feeling its not playing its connecting.

I've been searching for the name of the piece called "Pentecoste" for a few years now. Thank you for uploading this wonderful recording.
Very otherworldly and ethereal rendition. I also love Paola Requena's performance.
Paola is fantastic, but I prefer this version of Pentecostés
0:02 Getsemaní
2:52 Dipsô
9:10 Pentecostés
この後にテデスコのプラテーロと私のロンサールの甘美な響きが続くといいのですが。
Aburridisimo
La obra o la interpretación? Hay que tener en cuenta que Segovia tenía 85 años al grabar esto.
