The Ultimate DIY CO2 Diffuser for Your Planted Aquarium

- I made this ultimate DIY CO2 diffuser for my planted aquarium using an old, broken terracotta pot and a small plastic measuring cup. It cost me nothing to make and it works just like a branded diffuser. It will work best when used with a pressurized CO2 system; However, it will work just fine with a DIY setup.
Like a branded CO2 diffuser, this one also needs some pressure to work. If it is used with a DIY system, some points need to be kept in mind:
- This will only work when a sufficient amount of pressure is created in the C02 generator bottles. Mine worked after about 12 hours.
- There should be no leaks in the system; Otherwise, it won't work at all.
- The disc should be about 1 to 1.5 mm thick, not more than that.
It will produce a fine mist of bubbles, allowing the C02 to effectively diffuse into the aquarium water and help the plants grow properly.

In my experience curry leaves branch works very well. Search for chopstick CO2 diffuser and use a similar method.
It just needs to be replaced every 40 days or so, as the pores get clogged.
The added advantage is, it prevents the back flow of water that you need no one way valve.

Can you do saltwater tank filter
I did the same way, but It's not working, there's no bubbles coming out of it, also at high pressure nothing, i also tried ceramic tile method in that also no bubbles, please suggest what to do,

Of these, this ceramic disc CO2 diffuser will produce the finest bubbles, but it requires very high pressure to work properly. So this diffuser will work best with a pressurized CO2 system. The other two diffusers will work equally well with a DIY CO2 system and produce very fine bubbles.

Yes, you're right, Hygrophila pinnatifida needs bright, high-intensity lighting and extra CO2 to thrive.

Currently iam using your diy co2 method to supply co2 for my planted tank, i wanted to ask do i need to run the air stone a long side the co2 ? During day when lights are on
And also during night what should i do?
Run the air stone only at night, when the lights are off.
I also have 6 tetra and 1 guppy in the tank , so Running all day without an air stone would cause any problem to fish?

I ordered a diffuser and received yesterday firstly when i connect it to my Diy Co2 it was making very little amount of bubble after a hour it stopped completely...
Since then due to pressure pipe disconnecting automatically but it's not making bubbles..
What's the problem should i soak it in water and wait or return it?
And i made diffuser same as you shown in this vid ... This also work for hour and now completely stopped what's the problem here??

First, check if the CO2 system has any leaks. For this, you need to entirely submerge the CO2 system (with the CO2 diffuser attached to the system) in a bucket of water. If you see bubbles coming out of any joints, there is a leak, and you need to fix it accordingly.
Next, soak the CO2 diffuser in water for 24 hours before use and then see if it works properly.
You can also use 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of yeast in the sugar solution to increase the production/pressure of CO2 gas and enable the diffuser to work better.
