they call it Fire TV soundbar because a lot of sound bars don't work properly with the FireTV, this speaker has all that Amazons Fire TVs have to offer for sound so more compatible than most other sound bars.
Mine comes in tomorrow. I’m only using it for something that can be powered through my tv and give me some good noise for my garage gym.😊

Yeah, it's really odd it doesn't include FireOS-- Not really worth it otherwise because I'm sure you can get something better at the same price point. I guess this is more aimed at existing Fire TV users or someone with a fire stick, so you can get further into the Amazon ecosystem.
It's exactly what I was thinking, I thought it basically functioned as a fire stick but it's kinda just a Bluetooth speaker :/ I'll just get the fire Cube
@@nestorismaelflores3625 Better than a bluetooth speaker as it can be connected via hdmi which allows for some of the newer audio technology features to transmit.
Will it work on my 70 inch Vizio I have a fire stick plugged into it I guess what I'm saying is the t v is not a fire TV just a regular 70 in flat screen

I get your confusion but It is an Amazon Fire "TV Sound bar" not an "Amazon Fire TV" Sound bar. If you think about it they should have just called it the Amazon Fire Sound bar as most people would try using this for more than just a TV. If it is an "Amazon Fire TV" Sound bar than it could be because Amazon Fire is not what they license products under but Amazon Fire TV is.

all 3 are good options really, mostly personal preference, just depends if you like android or iPadOS better
Have to say that the way they do it annoyes me. I own a 2021 4k samsung QLD TV and brought a samsung soundbar that has 5.1 on the remote... but for some reason they didnt release the 5.1 speakers (only higher versions... that got a different remote, so GREAT LOGIC here). Now my plan was to waste way to much money on a 5.1 reviecer and anything else needed, but found out that if i would get a fireTV stick (that i dont need, because the TV has Apps as well) I might be able to upgrade the TV to get Dolby Atmos. I thought about one of those expensive alexa things as subwoofer and i just use 4 gen2 dots for right/left front/back. Then i saw a 4y old video that shows that you can only connect two dots... and a subwoofer? Great, so now they added this soundbar... in case you dont want to buy one or even two of the big "echo studio" speakers for 250 bucks?
I mean on one side i like it and it makes me think about moving the samsung soundbar to the bedroom and turn the livingroom into a "bigger system", but on the other side it makes me angry that wouldnt be able to turn it into a real 5.1 system.

Good question. They probably know people will buy once it goes on sale.
If you can’t connect it with two Echoes I just don’t think it’s worth it.
