You’re the goat! This makes me feel so much excited for Jimny as this will be my first car. Surely these videos help a lot for newbies like me who are getting into off-roading and trail blazing.
Mr Chahal, the way you explained is commendable, thank you for taking time to make this does help a lot for potential jimny enthusiasts, can’t wait for the completed setup.
Absolutely delightful video to watch. Not only is it informative for Gymny owners, but in general as well. I have been searching for a RUclips video like this and happy to say, i have found it. Thanks once again and keep up yhis fabulous content. Hola from Bangalore.
Hi JSC, After reading your answer to my question about diff breather extension and snorkel that I had asked in your other video on tyre sizes, I called the Ironman4x4 dealer Zac & Thomas in Bangalore and visited their store today as he mentioned that his own Alpha MT has already been fitted with an Ironman snorkel and that I could observe his staff working on it further. The 50 mm Ironman lift kit that you have displayed in this video, was already fitted on his Jimny along with Maxxis Bravo AT 235/75/R15 AT tyres on bronze coloured alloys (Evo*** something). Ironman bull bar with winch and two tow-hooks under it were also already fitted. Original front grill with Suzuki lettering was also done. I told Thomas about the drastic increase in weight of the much heavier tyres, but then, he had already planned to fix the turbocharger kit and remap after 6 months to maintain the engine warranty. Ironman diff breathers kit (2 connections) is priced at Rs. 12K, but apparently the stocks will arrive only in late July. I will visit him soon after I receive the delivery of my Alpha MT. Many thanks for letting me know that an Ironman dealer exists in Bangalore. Regards, Srinath Murthy
Always a treat watching your vlog . It's always on point whenever it comes to vehicles and i'm pretty sure your hard work is helping alot of lads out there.
Thank you, Jaideep for the clarity on suspension in the context to Jimny. Equally, eager to see how the Jimny mods pans out. Looking forward to more videos.
The explanation of the suspension and the tyre is too good. Very few people can give such detailed information. You’ve really done a good research before making the video… kudos. Keep it up. 👍🏽👍🏽
What a pleasure to watch an Indian Off Road channel which is well presented with clear and to the point explanations! Keep up th good work Jaideep! Also could you please share / include the contact detaiils of the suppliers?
Thanks a ton, Jaideep! Came across your channel because of the Jimny which I have booked. I like your no-nonsense style. More power to you, and many more great driving adventures!
U reminded me of my math sir from school days 😂 by explaining the process of lifting.. as i said earlier in my comments I just love ❤ your videos & there is a lot to learn.. these kinds of things make us respect other people for the knowledge on things.. super 👍
Hi Jaideep Sir , thanks a lot for explaining all the mods you would do on your vehicles with proper purpose and reasoning as to why things are done in the way they are, i also particularly like the LC series mods as well the amount of history you shared on those were fantastic. Coming to the JIMNY series you are probably the only person on You Tube i have seen who has mentioned multiple times that JIMNY comes with solid front axle which was something great to know for a person like me who is mostly interested in the mechanical side of the car and not just infotainment related features. BIG THANKS to you once again , please continue your good work and spread your knowledge on meaningful mods on SUVs for people who are new into this.
There are many 'detailed' explanation videos out there, but most don't have the patience (its like they have to catch a train or something) to explain it clearly. You have done a very good job explaining everything in detail in a way most of us, if not all, would understand. That is something I have observed in your other videos as well. Waiting to see the final results. One question though, will the torque from the stock engine be enough to handle the additional weight and traction these tyres will provide?
Thanks bro. Can't wait for the mod video after listening to these details. Do make a detail video of fitting all this mods. Hope your jimny will deliver very soon. Excited!! 🙌
All this takes a whole. Lot of hard work and effort into the making...thank you for taking the time and putting in the effort into making these videos....since the JIMNY is new to India.....this will help many looking for upgrades.... please do continue to post these videos. A request to you.... Please...do please include the websites etc where these products can be bought or found on the web . Along with the pricing ....for those of us like myself, who have limited or No knowledge about mods and will be looking to mod our JIMNY'S....will be very very helpful.... Appreciate all the information and knowledge shared.....many thanks 👍
Very well explained. Developing new interest in 4x4s because of jimny and your videos are helping me to a great extent. But, what if someone would love to own a jimny and only use it on road and does not want to take it off-road at all? What all modifications will you suggest for improving the on road dynamics, comfort, drivability, ride quality etc (like just tyre upgrades) ? Or will it make more sense to just skip the jimny and buy any crossover ( pseudo suvs)?
Just loved how you have explained everything in detail, highlighting the minute details which generally people are not aware about. This channel is certainly an asset for those who want to increase their knowledge in the automotive sector! ❤
lol death wobble explaination was funny...I really find your series of deep dives awesome. Do share prices as a lot more people would like to install all these
You have a knack of making difficult concepts understandable to a common man. Excellent explanation. Please do not stop these videos . We want more off-roading basics and advanced videos. Great work. Btw how much did these cost ??
Thank you for explaining every bit of lifting process. It would be great if you can do an installation video and share the approximate costs for these parts. With all such mods in mind in future and may be with turbo charger, super charger, remaps, etc is it better to go for manual than AT?
Great video. Important point regarding the heavier Indian Jimny as compared to the 2 door international variant and thereby the need for tier 2 version of the Ironman suspension. I was just curious why not the Tanabe or the Old Man Emu/ARB, which is a much more well-known brand. I'm sure that's priced fairly close to the Ironman kit.
Same here waiting for my white jimny Very well explain Cannot wait to see yr jimny upgrade and looks Do share the link to buy for jimny suspension kits
I like the wheels But one thing I didn't get is about the bolt pattern plz correct me with the bolt pattern for those wheels is it Size: 5 X 8J Bolt pattern : 5 X 114.3 Back space : 3.75 Offset : -19mm Bore : 83.06 Lip size : 3.20 And will it fit with a 235/75/R15 Coz I don't want to go with 31X10.5 Plz reply it will help alots
I too am waiting for my white jimny to be delivered in bhopal as of now they are saying the same that we do not have any information about the dispatch. Also your videos are very informative. By seeing your tire size video I have (215/75 R15) tyres already bought and will be changed once I receive the car.
Could you please provide information on additional load due to both the lift kit and tyres. How would the engine power be able to handle this extra load. Does that reduce payload significantly (based on allowed GVW)?
Bhaaji the explanation is on point. There will be hardly any doubts left after spending time on your channel. Once you have time, request you to explain about different 4x4 / AWD options in market and what’s the difference between them technically. Thanks Lovish
Hello Sir, I follow your video. Very useful thanks a lot. I am hesitation between manual or automatic jimny! Which one is valuable for every day use please? I have used a manual Jimmy 3rd generation in NZ. But in India which one is more suitable. Different price between manual and auto in almost 1.2 lak😮. Would you please suggest me your opinion. Regards
Hello Mr Chahal I'm getting my ironman suspension from Zak as well but I wasn't certain as to which exact setup to go with After seeing your video I now know Thank you
Does the suspension setup makes the ride more softer or stiff compared to stock ones ? Because using lift kit will hinder the aerodynamics of the car which leads to less fe handling also u will get more center of gravity which leads to more body roll pls reply thanks ❤
Passion with knowledge = Tread Trails ❤. This channel is one which i follow in this apart form "Talking Cars" and "Content with Cars" among the ocean of automobile channels in India. Please change the mic that you are currently using and go for RODE Wireless one. this is a small suggestion from my side only because your contents are very fruitful..! Thank You. Love from Kerala ❤
Sir, with just the 2 inch levelling kits, should the caster correcting bushing be used? If so can we find only the caster correcting bushing in the market, without the lift kits?
A professor like explanation, thanks a lot. Looking forward to more content from you. I've seen a lot of videos on Airbag Man suspension from Australia. What is your take on that, it comes with adjustable height and auto leveling. Is it in use in India?
Hey jaideep you put it all together really well every information in there except the price 😅 I am looking forward to get a jimny so would appreciate if you share the prices of the mods you are putting in so we can dream realistically 😉
Great video again! Can you also throw some light on the legalities of lift kits and tyre mods? As I am coming across quite a few articles that mention RTO issues with tyre and suspension mods. Any first hand solid info would really help. Cheers!
Thank you professor Saab! My respect for you has gone up multiple notches. Besides, could you refer me to a nice garage in Bangalore for installation, should I get the same upgrades.
Thanks, truly, for this extremely well explained video!! I have 2 further questions: 1. Any views on THROTTLE CONTROLLERS? The common complaint, internationally as well, is that the Jimny is a bit underpowered, or that there isn't sufficient grunt for quick overtake maneuvers. Throttle controllers seem to be a simple, non-mechanical fix that improves throttle response. 2. I am thinking of getting the lower variant with the steel wheels (solely for the looks). My use case for the car is unikely to be extremely heavy off-roading to begin with. Any significant disadvantage to having steel rims?
@@TreadTrails - and now to go back to my conundrum of whether to buy the Jimny and exchange it with my current baleno, or to buy a 2nd hand Thar at the same price as this exchange, and keeping both cars. Sigh. Not finding this an easy choice.
You’re the goat! This makes me feel so much excited for Jimny as this will be my first car. Surely these videos help a lot for newbies like me who are getting into off-roading and trail blazing.
Anyone else tempted to play with that crane next to the table?
Haha
I guess I’ll take the Mercedes sprinter ambulance 🚑 in the background 😂

Any feedback on Dr.Nano Lift kit?
