... I just realised I have two MS FFB2s. I shall have to see if they perform the same and see if there is any type of feedback. I'm thinking pedals would be overkill for the yaw or strafing and I'm unsure if I need the second stick as they are 3D twist axis sticks. Hmmm. I actually bought a controller for the first time in years to play Redout 1 & 2, a SNES controller was my last HID of that nature. I've not had a console really since then. The curve was difficult for someone as OOTL as me (not born with new PS/Xbox type one in my hands quite). Third party Gulikit one, has hall sensors like flight sim gear. There are better ones out now though.
DUDE!!!!! I still don't have those Thrustmasters but, I'm interested on how to set them up... May I have your advice? on like, what have you set each to do and stuff... please and thanks.
It is so long time ago that I dont remember it clearly but luckily there is my comment which I can copy to you. "Hello I hope this would help you.... first set up your dual joystick in Thrustmaster software you can use this tutorial ruclips.net/video/fFa2ITwQmPE/видео.html&ab_channel=TheAngryAstronaut Then use this tutorial to remap joysticks input on the gamepad ruclips.net/video/xiBPUyieLMg/видео.html&ab_channel=Naceo Now very important is to follow this if you want to use more than one joystick 1. Run x360ce.exe 2. Select the [Controller #] tab page corresponding to your additional controller. 3. Open the [Advanced] tab page. 4. Set "Combine Into" drop down list value to: One. 5. Select [Options] tab page. 6. Check "Enable Combining" check-box. (Note: Uncheck "Enable Combining" check-box, when you want to configure the controller.) 7. Click [Save] button. 8. Close x360ce Application, run game. Game wont recognize more than one device if you dont chech Enable Combining. And you can edit controls only if its uncheck....so uncheck edit control check again and save... Today there might be differend option to do it today ..I might try it again. If I do I will let you know.
I always wanted something similar to this setup to play the classic Mechwarrior titles. Seemed like the only proper way to do it, lol. I do have one T.16000, perhaps it's time I got another one 🤔
You can get Hotas combo if you dont have a throttle for some MFS as well.:) And can you bind your joystick in Mechawarriro strait in game controls? or do you have to use some external sw as well?
@@exhaustor5983 Yeah, I've been eyeing the HOTAS+Pedals set after watching your video :D IDK about the classic Mechwarrior games - I didn't have a joystick last time I played them, but at least from a quick google research it seems that people have been more or less successfully using HOSAS (yep, hands-on-stick-and-stick - I had no idea that was a thing just a few days ago) in MW4 and MW5 after remapping two joysticks to a single virtual device, although I hear MW5 is not too great because it's optimized for mouse aiming.

i just use Xoutput, it even allow you to combine inputs, i. e. joystick and throttle (hotas) or dual joystick into xinput (xbox controller), and you can map the same button/action to different buttons/actions on different input devices.
HI. It was a long time ago and I was changing it a bit but from video I think it was like this. Left joystick was left and right strafe. Right joystick was left and right steer and up and down pitch. Accelerate and brake on pedals. Power up and turbo on buttons.
Ive been playin this game on dual thrustmaster sticks the past week... Now I want those pedals!
Nice. Pedals is not essencial so dont buy it just for this :)
Pedals definitely gettin used in Mechwarrior as well ❤️🩹
I definitely can see something like this being accurate to how the controls for these racecraft might look like.

I doubt there is any telemetry to give you FFB. But let me know if there is. I think I used pedals for boost or something like that.

PLEASE HOW DID YOU GET THE STICKS WORKING IN THE GAME
This is insanely cool. I'm interested to know, at a high level, how you did the control mappings.

What do you control with each joystick and pedals? I just can't figure it out at all. 🤔

I hope on upcoming Redout 2 they will support normal joystick controls.
No this is wrong..:D
pitch was on left joysick
cool idea, cool video, groanworthy comments
