Rumor has it joe never let him know when he was ready.
I think Joe moonlights as a mumble rapper lol
Some say that on quiet nights, you can still hear Matt waiting… 🤔
I would have gone to lunch & left him
Regards
Steve UK London
😂🤣😂🤣😂😂
Joe was missing in action
I paused this, went into my shop & lit up my MIG welder - something that I have been stupidly frustrated with - I re-adjusted the settings, set my hands as recommended & went to town.
It was, without a doubt, the best weld I have ever pulled off thus far.
Considerable gratitude my friend ~
Make every weld better tan your last....cool brother...
i mean i feel that idk how to turn the things on but ik how to use them lol
Showing some appreciation for Joe. Made sure he got the good zoom shots in focus for us. Appreciate that as well as the excellent welding info.
It's been 5 yrs. And you still hasn't fix a bad audio issue. Please Eastwood!! Thanks
"Let me know when you're ready, Joe." Great tutorials, thanks for sharing!
Just got my first Mig welder. Matt, you saved me a lot of time and mistakes. Thanks to you and Joe my first welds looks pretty darn decent.
As someone completely new to welding these are the best tutorials! Thank you!
I've been welding a few years and still learn something each time I watch
I've been TIG welding for almost 35 years and I never once have I used a MIG machine. Thanks for the video I think I'm going to borrow my friend's MIG and make some welds. Thanks for the lesson. Sorry I forgot your name.
You will be fine with a mig if you can TIG its completely different from the technique you are use to but i had never used a mig i was a ARK welder fabricator on site so no mig work at all but recently had to get a job in a fabrication shop and just said I was rusty with MIG because I hadn't done any for a few years because I was ARK out on site so I got the job and just said I need practice for a few days and watched some very good American gezza a big man whith a impressive big beard but he was amazing and I picked up the MIG technique in a couple of days and now 8 weeks later im very good and doing all positions and thin and thick materials very easy but MIG was made for women to be able to use because during the war time all the men was fighting away so the women had to do the jobs and that's why the MIG was invented to be easy to use you can push or pull and weld in nearly any position and very easy when you weld down also over head Is much easier
Great presentation. I've been MIG welding for several years, but still picked up a few tips.
Great start to learning how to MIG weld, I’m ready to give it a try and see what I can melt!!
Thank you very much for these great videos. I really appreciated the examples of what the wrong combination of heat/feedrate/gas looks like as they will help a lot with troubleshooting in the future. I'm starting a traineeship next week where learning this skill is a necessity. I have absolutely 0 experience and these videos are definately a great start. Keep up the good work!
Really helpful video - especially the section on welding problems and what the cause of these is. Thanks guys.
These videos are great! Thanks so much for an in depth but understandable tutorial!!
LOL at 19:30 it's like an awards show they start the music to play him off the stage after he's gone to long.. Thanks for the video!
Thank you for these, Ive been doing paint and body work for around 5 years now but Im going to try and pick up welding and these videos cleared up a few things I didnt know. Thanks guys!
A brilliant tutorial. It fixed the problems I have been having, thanks heaps.
Part 1 and 2 was awesome, answered all the questions I had
Thank goodness FOCUS technology has improved over the past 8 years! Lol. Good video, covers some important basics
watched it, tried it, success! Decent welds right off! Thanks for the VERY instructive video.
Imho, Golden Apple Award to you as well as be named'Teachs of the Year''! Total pro!!
Hey, great video im starting welding for the first time at school and the video was a huge help. Thanks 😀😁
I am going into welding for the first time and these videos are the greatest! I do not know what to expect but I hope its something similar to this.
How was it?
My god this video is awesome. I don't weld enough to keep my skills to even a minimum capability. This video comes in handy so much. Thanks for making it!
just learning welding, not sure I need anymore instruction now Ive watched this awesome detailed vid. thx!
Ya and i just watched the masters and i need no more instruction!
Great info, thank you!! It's been almost 10 years since I welded and I needed a refresher.
A very helpful video that clearly described and demonstrated how to MIG weld; excellent for beginners. Thanks
Absolutely brilliant learned a lot, just the right pace and not over burdeoned thank you!
I know I'm late to the video but I'm trying to learn to MIG weld to Weld together an old vw beetle with my great grandpa and restore it, very helpful and thank you for helping me make good memories
Hi James!
We're glad we could help... We have some huge VW fans over here, make sure to tag us in the pictures when it's finished! @eastwoodco on Instagram
Best of luck on the resto
Thanks Matt, I feel like you went over the basics of MIG welding, from the essentials & safety gear to welder settings and troubleshooting.
This video is very helpful. The camera work is bizarre.
Sanjay Sami - yeah Joe the cameraman needs to buy a Manfrotto tripod (only $500 and worth every penny) for fluid head movement. Then learn how to work the manual focus efficiently. The lens has optical stabilization, which is wonderful, but skimping out on the rest is just painful to experience.
Great video;really learn a lot about welding
I was impressed with the camera work and the over all video considering it appeared to be done all in one shot without any cuts.
@@frooke2 it wasent the best filming I dont belive this was planed ahead as much i think it was kinda improved at some points because there are 10 seconds of akward silence where they are waiting for the camera man
@@Calebtheboss The filiming wasn't an issue, the problem was that there was no editing!
Great video. Liked it very much. Audio is great and very good explanation of principles. Focus was of on couple of times, but nothing catastrophic ;-) thx camera guy
These videos are fantastic for beginners, I like you are great teacher I have learn a lot of tips to start MiG welding , I have just receive my new MiG machine.thanks a lot👍👍
Thank you very much!
Thanks. I learned a lot. Fire the camera guy too. And the sound guy. The teacher was 👍👍👍
Well done! Great video. Excellent presentation!!
Joe, you forgot to turn the gas back on at the end, to show us your spot weld. You got abit flustered and went rambling on thinking of other things, hoping no one saw your rookie mistake. Thanks for you videos, they’re very helpful.
New to welding. Very helpful video! Great job!
The closed caption will make you wonder if it was for this video. Lol. Very much good information, I will be giving this a try in the morning.
The CC subtitles are hilarious, " then we'll look at his own vomit you one over here trying to get a good spot love"
Sounds kinky.
Great video, you are a heckuva instructor Matt.
Good video, shout out to Joe the camera man who struggle through this, super difficult thing to shoot properly, you nailed it though, everything was as close to perfect as you could get it at a guess and I respect the hell out of the accuracy.
Info was good, we'll see how I go my first time welding. Cheers.
Matt is a great instructor, kudos! The sound needs help though.
Dude was very good on the whole presentation👍🏼 ... easy on the camera guy fellas, it’s all good
fantastic video. Very well presented. I have learned a lot watch both videos THANK YOU
Oh he’s giving instructions? I couldn’t hear over the music.
Can only hear him through headphones for some reason
I had no problem hearing him using my earbuds on my laptop?
Fantastic, thank you for sharing I watched vid 1 & 2 very helpful, I have a Mig 130 Amp and try some tomorrow.
Great video - I have learned so much. Time to practice. Thank you.
Excellent video - good instruction.
Thank you so much, I just got my first mig welder no Gas,😪 I just trying to learn it’s my new toy and my new goal
Thanks, Eastwood! Thanks, Matt!
Great advice, I’m a beginner, that really helped a lot, thank you
really great....i learn a little beat....i like it...thank u for sharing ur knowledge..
Pretty good video. I’m getting ready to work on my 79 F150 floor pans etc. Looking to get a good mig welder soon.
A video about wire size selection for the job would be good.
usually you can stick with .030. anything around 3/16 move to .035
Thank you for the expertise. Just a heads up as I'm sure others by now have advised that we can hardly hear you and what we can hear is muffled
I had same issue while using a bluetooth. It started at the end of first vid and continued on. Odd part is disconnect Bluetooth and it’s fine! Gots to LOVE technology!!
Good instructional video.
Just wear headphones guys! It fixes everything! I had doubt into it but it really fixes the problem! It is worth it. This a good video!!
Very helpful Demo Part 1 & Part 2 for a starter like me. Cheers from Sydney
Glad it was helpful!
the music wasn't a problem for me. Thanks for the great info. Easy to understand n follow along. Thanks
thank you very much, i'm starting to help my granddad at his business with welding and i think this is very helpful.
This is so helpful, thank you so much 👍
Great video. Apart from the promo stuff still great.
In your own time Joe.
Thanks Matt very helpful.
really useful content!! appreciate it!!
Thanks for posting this much appreciated
Excellent well done.Step by step clear methods of welding processes I'm watching on a computer and it plays just fine. Thank you for helping us learn good welding habits.
Thank you for this excellent video on MIG welding. I was raised on the old Lincoln arc welders, I did not enjoy them. MIG however is far advanced in effectiveness and more applications.
great video, learned alot, thanks.
These videos are very thorough for an absolute beginner like me
Great video! Thank you!
Eastwood home of welding...from Milan Italy i say ciao
The sound quality seems fine to me. No background music (thankfully) and a good clear explanation.
thank you very informative. I'm sure it will help knowing how things can be adjusted. The closed caption was a good laugh. Must be that new AI stuff.
Good job, learned much.
Raise to Mr welding guy. Camera guy should get fired
He's obviously not a pro cameraman - its his mate Joe, give him a break.....
Excellent video content. learned a lot. Thanks for posting it up.
Whoever did the audio for this video should be fired
@Mike Coon you're just as bad, criticizing someone's opinion. Btw there are plenty of better welding vids already online than this so no need to make more.
Great info - thanks!
Very informative. Thankyou.
My dad has a welding machine at home and he never had the time to guess ima try to use it with this video knowledge
GREAT video's .Thank you
Tks video was great.
I've just bought a mig welder, but have zero experience.
I found the presentation very helpful.
I do have experience of stick welding, but the amps available at my present location is limited, so my stick welder trips the over-current switch after a few seconds of welding.
What would be useful for a beginner, is an approximation of wire feed speed, relative to material thickness. Or a relevant source for this information.
Thanks for the post.
Very helpful video, thanks. I think he forgot to turn the gas back on before the spot welds, though?
I have learnt a lot much thanks
Great video. I was undecided about buying a mig welder or a flux core welder. I’m buying the mig welder because I need to occasionally weld aluminum. Thank you!
Glad we could help
In my opinion might welders are much better
Very informative, but the subtitles are a riot.
thank you for your tutorial.
Thanks guys!!!! Really awesome video for a noobie like me.
I haven't welded in years and am.wmbarassed to ask......when you hit the trigger to advance the wire, does it also trigger the voltage to the tip?
In other words, is the tip always live if the machine is on?
I'm pretty sure it's not live until you hit the switch on the Mig gun but I'm also a beginner so take that with a grain of salt
Hi Matt - I'm having trouble with the proper settings for welding 1/8" steel with my Mig135. The settings diagram on my welder do NOT show for 1/8". Would you recommend the proper settings based on your experience? Thank you once again for any support!
Good video thanks guys
Great video
Please remake this video. It would be very instructional if we could just hear what he is saying.
You need headphones, the sound is completely broken without them for some odd reason.
thank you , I learned a lot
You are the best , thank you sir
hope to learn more nxt video.....
Greatly appreciate the course. Another reason I went with Eastwood, instructive videos. I just bought the 90 welder to get started. Question: Same procedures for the 90 as with the 175 used utilized in the video? Thanks again for the well done instructions presented in an easy to understand and follow manner.
Great tutorial, despite sound
Perfect! Thanks
Good info thanks.
Great teacher
I found the audio just fine - great video, thanks v much
