    Amazing video, 🎉 thank you!! Silly question, why not rig a ceramic or titainium air tip with ceramic mount right above the nozzle shroud with a solenoid on the air gun, wired trigger pull off (if you like) with a contact switch just at or inside the base of the trigger. Then when you let off the trigger you will get nothing, and as you release more, you will get air right at the position the gun tip is pointing. That means you cool quicker, and don't clumsily have to grab the air with the left hand??? You also don't lose position if you look away. You can also adjust the trigger pull as full release is nothing, short pull is air, medium pull is air off, so you won't blow a hole right after letoff feed, when the weld is still red hot, and full pull is feed. I'm probably missing something in the art, just an observation!! 🎉 Thanks again!!

    thank you, appreciate the tips. Been to the school of hard knocks. Been using silicon bronze with tig on body and just got a spool of it for the mig. It's nice as it does not spark when you grind, so you know you are getting the weld and less heat.

    Hey Chad, huge fan...I watched hours and hours of your videos and wanted to learn to weld. I ended up buying a flux welder first, then ordered another welder that was supposed to be able to use gas but I got ripped off! I know you have many Lincoln welders so if you want to get rid of one or help a fan out, I would love to have one of yours, maybe autographed too!!! That would be awesome 😎

    What size wire are you using?

  • @basic375
    @basic375 Год назад

    If u use smaller wire which is going to use less heat , u could weld a full one tow inch with out warping skip about Six inch and if gets hot the stop until cool using the air will allow longer welds . I use to build panels for armor trucks on a metal table ! You need to practice on sheet metal once the gape is gone the continue one two inch weld won't allow any blow through just a little more grinding Not to long of stationary grinding will wrap it to!
