Great video! 😃 As a beginner I have one question I am always wondering about: Is there any disadvantage of programming the kick in the channel rack? Why do most people put the samples directly in the playlist? 😊
It's just a lot more visual I think that's why a lot of people prefer that. You can see exactly how long a kick is for example and adjust the bass note length to that. But in basic function there is no difference as far as I know. And I find it easier personally to do variatons in the track using them in the playlist.
I automate a ton of stuff and always put the automation clips directly underneath the track which they automate, otherwise I get lost. For a small project like this it doesn't really matter.
