Will this ONE habit i picked up from you and it's made my sessions 80% more productive is this... "It's done! and can't be undone!!" This has been a game changer for my work flow. Once it's done, you GOTTA make it work. It cannot be undone! Period! Nice one bro. Love you videos!
At 8:46 you can do it all in one, of you click pencil on the oscillator and select process>remove fundamental it takes the low end out to leave room for the sub. Hope this helps someone i was buzzing when i realised that 😅
What you accomplish is such a short period of time is just brilliant with these educational tutorials! Really dig your style of teaching and It's helped me tremendously with inspiration, technique, and overall momentum. You are a special gift to the EDM world ❤
I felt like I was watching a NASA engineer explain rocket science. I have no real clue how you're doing what you're doing, but I'm sitting here blissfully entranced jamming out to it
Love the videos you do! Also, a little time saver, CTRL + E or CMD + E will split notes along the playback head when writing midi, might save you a bit when writing chords! Thanks for bringing another great vid
Wow that was kinda weird and so cool to hear the intro... I swear I don't normally do this, but I just made a track a month ago 'Your Voice (is stuck in my head)' using the same vocals forgot to mention that lol... love your videos!... I'm still relatively new but l never miss a video! Thank you for everything! 🙏
Good work! Sounds very nice! Btw is it even possible to release such tracks with Splice vocals? I mean copyrights and whatnot. Should such tracks be called like a remix with the name of a vocalist?
Thanks! Splice vocals are royalty free, so you are allowed. However, some labels won’t release tracks with Splice vocals , as so many other producers also have access to them
Watching your great videos i am always wondering: Is there a reason you have your sidechain compressor set to RMS? If you want quick reactions (i guess so -> rimshot) setting it to peak might give even better results.
It’s simply because I was pushed for time and this certainly isn’t a finished mix by any stretch of the imagination. I would route the kick and bass together, for sure (as well as a lot of other techniques). Thanks for watching!
14:30 i always make my own presets on moments where i don't have inspiration or when i have nothing else to do, i have lots of those moments, so i always have my own sound but when i'm actually making tracks i dont get sidetracked on making my sounds
Love these videos, but I can't seem to be able to download the projects on any of these videos. I never receive the emails. Neither in spambox. Are the downloads on the website broken ? Or am ao doing something wrong? Cheers ❤
Can you make a video on how to make tracks like Christian Craken - he does like minimal deep techno so fire 🔥 great video you’re the best teacher I love your videos
That 9 million is unique monthly listeners, he’s probably getting closer to 50 million per month. I suppose you’re right though, it is still more than 9 😂
While listening to you search for a decent open hi hat it’s evident that 99% of samples out there are objectively bad. I can never progress through a song because I can’t get the right sound. Sample packs are such a scam
@@EDMTips You know just as well as I do that the last 20% of the music production learning curve are the hardest by a long shot. And part of that is that there is endless material out there covering the basics - but for the last polish there is virtually _nothing!_ That's why so many people end up with RUclips channels instead of a career as professional music producers..
@@jamesrobinson5450 It starts with the kick drums but continues with a multitude of things. As far as I can tell main factors for why pro producers sound the way they sound are smart use of reverb and delay (or spacial effects in general for that matter, basically the illusion of depth and separation) and access to some sort of high quality sample material. They often times have very interesting sounding drum loops in their music that is just don't seem to be available to the public really. But it always just sounds that little bit more polished, that little bit fatter than amateur productions. Now of course I'm not saying that EDM Tips sounds bad - but he and pretty much all other Social Media coaches sound just as standard as everybody. It's this generic "Tech House" sound that came up in the past years and doesn't sound bad per se but sounds too clean and just not special over all..

Great informative video! Could you create a comprehensive tutorial on how to produce music in the style of Gravagerz?
*adds a kick* amazing, best track eva! xD XD
as always, thanks Will !
😬
🥑So good! LOVE IT!!! ❤🔥
Thank you, Jamie, I am really glad you liked this one! 🙂
Wondering why the kick isn't in the bass buss here, as you teach, or did you leave it out on purpose for a particular audio reason? Killer vid!
It’s simply because I was pushed for time and this certainly isn’t a finished mix by any stretch of the imagination. I would route the kick and bass together, for sure (as well as a lot of other techniques). Thanks for watching!
@@EDMTips Right on, and thx again!
Someone explained it to me before, but it's still fascinating to me once the kick kicks in the bass sounds like 16th note.
merci beaucoup 👍👍👍
De rien!
Any videos in the style of Malugi, Ki/Ki or Hoffstadt coming up?
No plans at the moment, but what tracks of theirs should I check out?

What reverb/ piano you using?
Awesome… hell yeah… avocado! How about some epic soundtrack music in the style of Hans Zimmer… Interstellar… Dunkirk… Gladiator?

9:53....Bravo sir
Appreciate it! 🙂🙌🏻🙏🏻
Wouldnt it be smoother to sidechain duck the first 16th note of the rolling bass instead of leaving it away?
Potentially, yes - both techniques together also work
So amazing! Man, there is any chance you could make an avicii video? I know he is old but he is legendary!
What track?
@@EDMTips "I could be the one" with Nicky Romero recently achieved 1 billion streams on Spotify, I think that could be a great one ❤️

Dissapointing though you need Ableton 12 for this - can you not do one for ableton 11?
I could do this in Ableton 9, to be honest
@@EDMTips i didnt upgrade to 12 as didnt think it was worth the money to do so
I atually ment that you cant open the project file if you dont have ableton 12. Realised i may have worded incorrectly.
Awesome, I love John Summit's recent music. I think there might be a problem with the download link though, it sends me to the Peggy Gu one.
Thanks, Charlie! Should be fixed now :)
Lovely, thank you!

Fire beat, can you make a snow strippers/crystal castles beat?

Sounds so much better without vocals …the vocals in most edm ruin it
Thanks for the feedback!
Unpopular opinion!
That pre-transisent sound on the kick is for junky mixes. I wish would die as IMO it sounds sloppy and not tight as a kick should be.
John summit is awful 🤮
I disagree! He’s got some great tunes
Matter of taste, man. Besides this is about the tips for producing, not about music copy/paste...
If you think John summit’s music is bad, you’re either projecting or have objectively shit taste in music
