This has always been one passage that confused me. The reason why Michael found the Persian Empire to be more of a threat to Israel than the Empire that Alexander the Great spawned. The Greeks and Romans worshipped many gods, engaged in orgies tortured their captives and so on. The change of power may have brought a temporary relief to Israel. That is all I can assume.
I would guess it was because Persia's pantheon was structured in a way to be more easily misleading. Even now, the Persian deity Ahura Mazda is compared to Yahweh as a similar being, which would be an in-road for Persians getting the Hebrew people to accept their other gods. The things which held me back eventually began to propel me forward. The darkness began fading away and an unspeakably bright light was surfacing. Today I am almost fully healed in every conceivable way, and things like being a virgin and being covered in scars I strangely enough take much pride in. Considering His identity we come to understand. Jesus "IS" LORD. Not a man but the LORD God Almighty Himself and He in those who believe and obey His Command to love one another and even our enemies. The identity of the First and the Last of Isaiah 44:6 and Revelation 1:17-18 will help. Understanding John 2:25 reveals the devil incarnate in his body - the False Prophet, the Anti-Christ and the Dragon. He knows but he denies the identity of God. No, belief and faith are mostly the same thing. You can believe in something but not follow it but sometimes people can say that having a belief or a faith in something pretty much means they are following it. Fait and belief are used in the same way and for different reasons. "I believe in you" or "I have faith in you" can have the same meanings. But saying " I follow you" is linked to this but different.

The text of Daniel is not like the Torah. However the text that gives the date starting from the end of sacrifice is interesting. To those who understand. They will understand. So. To those who are aware of Gods purpose, they will see and understand and must be patient because in their understanding they must step back and allow this to happen. The clue to this are the angels on each side of the river. The Mercy seat has two Angel's who protect the flow of life to the Ark of the Covenant. God. When it is recieved and shared, it is like eating and digesting information. It is pulled apart and examined. This way the people lay out what they understand, infront of each other. They work out the truth of God at their level of awareness. God watches and listens to see what mankind makes of his truth. In this way man gives up time to think and discuss God. He sacrifices himself to be closer to God. His whole being and purpose of life becomes dedicated to understanding God and who he is within God. Those that turn away, think for themselves, using Gods life power to exist in sin. The last verses are saying that when the people turn away and think only of themselves and no longer sacrifice their thought to God then the will and the power of man will give power only to himself. The kingdom of man and the kingdom of God separate. God will then flood the kingdom of Adam with his true flow of life. I once asked what would happen if I stopped thinking spiritually. ive been thinking about the war in heaven, michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back.. looks like michael is the 1 who started the war and the dragon just fought back..and saying because he was not strong enough, they lost their place in heaven..does it means the dragon really have the place in heaven but michael fought against the dragon..? and they were saying "the accuser of our brothers and sisters" looks like it was just a revenge to the dragon for being the accuser of their brothers and sisters? because the 2 witnesses was given the authority to torture but not to kill and because they just following orders to torture but not to kill, the people is angry to the 2 witnesses, and was killed.. for that in revelation 3 in 7th lampstand 1 of the witnesses become the victorious and sit down to the Fathers throne..does it mean the dragon lost his place in heaven because they took it? they become rebellious to him? and for taking his place in heaven is the reason he becomes fury? they were doing it against the ruler and authority?so they are the rebellious? Christ said they hated him, because he told the truth about them being godS of the past and telling there is 1 true God and Jesus Christ.. in John 17 3 Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. 4 I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do. 5 And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.. looks like he is correcting his sin in the past because he wanted back the glory he had with him before the world began, because the lamb was slain from the creation of the world.. it means he was also there but didnt do anything and now looks like he is correcting it.. thats why new testament was created? and its the reason they hated him because he told their lies from the past?
Also the angel Michael told Daniel, that when Michael left Daniel,he would have to fight this prince of Persia again, plus he would have to figjt the prince of Greece. These are wicked principalities over nations.

Admittedly, Lucifer was in a class of one, being the only creature that God used for that role, but that would give some insight into why Michael said "the Lord rebuke thee." St .Michael vs.the Prince of Persia ,the prince who is to come...mentioned in the Book of Daniel.
This has always been one passage that confused me. The reason why Michael found the Persian Empire to be more of a threat to Israel than the Empire that Alexander the Great spawned. The Greeks and Romans worshipped many gods, engaged in orgies tortured their captives and so on. The change of power may have brought a temporary relief to Israel. That is all I can assume.
I would guess it was because Persia's pantheon was structured in a way to be more easily misleading. Even now, the Persian deity Ahura Mazda is compared to Yahweh as a similar being, which would be an in-road for Persians getting the Hebrew people to accept their other gods. Zeus/Jupiter, on the other hand, are so clearly different that such a comparison would have been laughed at by any reasonable person.
Also, Michael's hand may have been stayed because of the role Rome was to play. Salvation was planned far before the events of Daniel.

P.S.- Not too long ago I was very bitter and destructive. Literally I was covered in blood from head to toe and ripping off nails and things of that nature. In my mind Jesus was against me, he had a vendetta against me which I couldn't account for. Then slowly but surely I started having these revelations, and began delving into the word of God. It seemed like my agony was not in vain. The things which held me back eventually began to propel me forward. The darkness began fading away and an unspeakably bright light was surfacing. Jesus told me that he had to break me in order for me to rediscover who I really was. Sort of like a phoenix rising from the ashes. Today I am almost fully healed in every conceivable way, and things like being a virgin and being covered in scars I strangely enough take much pride in. I took up my cross and followed Christ and in doing so I discovered the greatest love of all.
A couple of things to remember: Man is not God. Man will never become God. Man can be purified, that he sit with God, but man will never become or displace God. God is eternal, without beginning and without end, forever praised.
Jesus is God Himself in flesh, the eternal Christ. Jesus is Eternal Father TRUTH, His Holy Spirit unconditional LOVE, in visible bodily FORM. God took off His immortality and put on mortality, entering the womb of the virgin and birthed in mortal flesh, revealing Himself to His creation, put to death, risen from the dead and returned to His immortal FORM which still bears the scars placed upon it when He was in mortal form. Jesus alone is LORD.
Hebrews 6:4-6 defines the unpardonable sin; the one sin which condemns eternally. Take note of "once enlightened" and "fall away". 1 John 5:16-18 discusses sin. 1 John 5:20 may help in understanding this along with John 4:24, 1 John 5:6, John 3:16-18 as well as John 1:3 and Colossians 1:16-20.
Considering His identity we come to understand. Jesus "IS" LORD. Not a man but the LORD God Almighty Himself and He in those who believe and obey His Command to love one another and even our enemies. The identity of the First and the Last of Isaiah 44:6 and Revelation 1:17-18 will help. Understanding John 2:25 reveals the devil incarnate in his body - the False Prophet, the Anti-Christ and the Dragon. He knows but he denies the identity of God.

Prophet Daniel also called Belteshazzar, a belt holding the pants approximating to the size of the waist or like holding the peripherals lower extremity according to the size of the way. The message to Daniel would happen in the 3rd year of the Persian King Cyrus the Great where there will be a great war. Could be the Antiochus versus the first target, Persia. But if scripturally followed, the Demon of Persia versus the Angel of bold courage attacking Persia in which helped by Archangel Michael later on. In the 3rd year mentioned, 3 is either a law or a 3 sides triangle and both an odd number. You can start analyzing from that about the events to happen.

Read Daniel 10 (chapter) 12-14 (verses). The archangel Michael came to help this angel fight the prince of Persia. Only then was this angel able to come to Daniel.

Admittedly, Lucifer was in a class of one, being the only creature that God used for that role, but that would give some insight into why Michael said "the Lord rebuke thee." Now, Michael is completely subservient to Jesus, yes, but he must've surely also known that his raw power was not equal to Satan's, so a double reason not to attempt anything in his own strength.

But Lucifer, being 2nd only to God, was deceived by his own beauty and said "I will be like the Most High."
