A little tip. Whenever you go from the house to the barn take something with you and same for return. This property is much larger, and although much flatter until everything has a home there will be a lot of running back and forth trying to find stuff. Never leave one area empty handed .
Remember it doesn't have to happen overnight! Moving is stressful so be easy on yourselves. If this is your forever homestead.. you have time to think and plan and break it into small parts. Step by step..So happy for SOW THE LAND!👏🏼❤🙏🏽😊
Buried extension cord, so funny. No telling what you’ll find. Lots of treasures I’m sure. Love the new property, I’m excited to see what you do with it. Just one day at a time. You will get there. Have a blessed day 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻💕👩🏻🌾
Sit down with the family and start making a list of everything to do, must do, and like to do. Once you can start checking items off the list, everybody will start to relax and enjoy. Love your vids.
I used to ride my bike from one place to another between house and out buildings. Strap stuff on front and back and even carry something in one hand. Saves a lot of energy if you can do it.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 we bought our retirement home 6 years ago and the original owner loved to bury things! Can't wait to see what you do with the new place...I know it will be spectacular!
we found something similar...they buried pvc pipe all thru the fields to try and bring water to different places...sadly the pipes are all broken-quite the mess to clean up!! take your time and try not to get overwhelmed...10 years later and its still a work in process! Have fun!
Day by day...one step at a time. Remember that song from the '70s? Day by day Day by day Oh Dear Lord Three things I pray To see thee more clearly Love thee more dearly Follow thee more nearly Day by day...That gives such peace no matter how it's applied to our lives.
Oh man Jason we bought a fixer upper and it will be worth all the worry 😟 you will find that when you start seeing the fruit of your labor you will start feeling like this place is 🏡 🏠 🏡 🏠
Maybe take a couple weeks to just walk the house inside and outside, and slowly walk the land from all directions at different times of the day to get a good feel for slope and sun. It will also give you a chance to decompress after the stress of the move. Happy (new) homesteading!! 👍👍👍
Looks beautiful there! It'll all come together. Just 'live' on the land and it will tell you how to organize it all. In the meantime, enjoy all that space!!
You absolutely understand the art of storytelling! Even with a sponsored video it was well done. You are the only homesteader that I am still subscribed to. I just really appreciate your content.
So excited about your new place! Can't wait to see all the changes you'll make! I do love to see your humor, Jason! This one started with a good laugh for me with pulling up the extension cord! Hilarious! Love from SC!
Three cheers for Sow the Land and their hanging ham!!! All of this is epic and we are just at the beginning considering ‘The Scag’ is next! Always watching and waiting for every upload from here in Mexico City. Thanks for letting us tag along on your adventure.
Just don’t worry about that simple stuff yeah? When you look at the house and think of all the different things that you want to accomplish it may seem overwhelming. However just do one thing at a time. You spend most time outside anyway. Don’t you want to do your farming? Don’t you want to do your gardening? So remodeling the house to me would take a huge backseat. I think you can remodel that one little bit at a time especially in the winter when you don’t have good weather. God bless stay safe I love you new property it looks great peace and blessings to you and your family
I’m so happy that you will be doing a home 🏡 improvement and farming project. I love those types of content. Organize & Improving your property is awesome 🤩
Have you just ever walked out the front door to your new home and pinched yourself to see if all of this is for real? It's a beautiful property. Congratulations.😃
For starters I absolutely loved the extension cord shot. Camera setups, cuts, etc. Wonderful. Happy to see the chickens on the new "range". I can imagine it felt great having that part of the homestead back on line. One problem I forsee is with all this extra new land your going to spread out quickly. Your going to be using more of your precious time just getting around. I'm thinking that you need to use a trailer behind your riding mower to transport all the animal feed, hand tools, electric cords( not cords you find under the grass) etc. I know you don't have time for new projects yet so good luck.
Congratulations Jason and Lorraine. We are so excited for you to be moving to a bigger place. We are in Hendersonville, NC and close by to your new homestead. We are looking forward to seeing your new place in person during your Chicken Processing Workshop. Good luck with everything.
Haha! We've had soooo many what the heck moments after moving into our new homestead! Great video Jason, love the new place and you guys are doing great!!!
I follow all you guy's, Hollars, Art and Bri, Justin and about 20 more, I just don't comment. This is going to be fun too bad I get to watch, and you have to do all the work. Good luck!
i fill you on moving. been at same place for 18 yrs on .225 acre made move 45 min away onto 70 acres to start simple life. learning alot from your channel
Bless you all, I know the quick move is/was stressful. Congratulations on your new home! I look forward to see how you do everything. I’m learning thank you.
We thought the same thing with our last 2 houses! Our 1st house we wondered how it was still standing, I guess it had enough nails in it gotta love old construction.
Your Polish chicken is gorgeous. Matt Jones MTB is square space sponsored also, trying not to sound rude but his speal is very amusing. I'm watcthing you guys because of The Hollar's. Good luck on your new land, hope it fruits well for you.
Just found Y'all through Justin Rhodes. So excited I did. We moved to our homestead a year ago and it feels like yesterday it's so overwhelming. Happy to see your journey. Best of luck to you guys.
Here’s wishing the Contreras Family a wonderful year in 2022! 🥳 This is going to be an exciting time for you and us out here in RUclips Land! 😃🐶👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Thank you so much!!

You know a RUclips channel is awesome when you refuse to skip an add because you want to make sure the creator get paid good!
I don't think Lorain will let you get used to that nasty carpet. May the force be with you & you find hardwoods under it.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 we bought our retirement home 6 years ago and the original owner loved to bury things! Can't wait to see what you do with the new place...I know it will be spectacular!

The chickens are most likely enjoying the new land , new places to get bugs 🐛! 😊👍💕💕💕

I’m not even a hint of an electrician but I absolutely cracked up laughing when I saw that plug-in setup!😂🤣😂🤣
So much work to do, but you guys are killing it. Stay strong!

Good idea

You could turn one of your stalls into a chicken coup. Make a pop door to the outside and wire up the front to keep the predators out.♥️👍🙏🇺🇸🤓
Y’all look so happy. I’m glad for your family. Congratulations!
WOW!! 2 days??!! Thank goodness family could help!!
You absolutely understand the art of storytelling! Even with a sponsored video it was well done.
You are the only homesteader that I am still subscribed to. I just really appreciate your content.
Could not stop laughing when I saw the buried extension cord. Wish you all the success in renovating the house.

Organize & Improving your property is awesome 🤩
From the Pacific Northwest and we use a salmon net for getting chickens!
Have you just ever walked out the front door to your new home and pinched yourself to see if all of this is for real? It's a beautiful property. Congratulations.😃

We are going through the same exact transition. Moved from NJ to Virginia. 1 acre to 10 acres. Still trying to make our place work.
Loved the chicken wrangle. I love when the white chicken jumped right out of the box as fast as Jason put her in it.
I actually like the shallow pantry! You. And see everything you have without digging
Use a big fish net to catch your chickens. Makes it so easy.
i fill you on moving. been at same place for 18 yrs on .225 acre made move 45 min away onto 70 acres to start simple life. learning alot from your channel

How about incorporating the Chicken Coup into one of the Horse Stalls in the Barn with an opening into the outside.
I always hit the 👍 before viewing so I don’t forget
