A few years ago I went to a concert and got pushed into a mosh pit. I felt people’s shoes pressing against my head. I couldn’t move because people were jumping around on me. Luckily someone pulled me up and out of there. It was a small concert so I couldn’t imagine if it were something this large. Just to give some insight on how it feels. It’s a very scary and helpless feeling. Bless those people, their family and friends.

At uni they did a mosh and a friend was caught in the middle, he tripped and I saw him on the floor and I went to get him. I dragged him to the side so fast and my heart was pounding. Being a millennial, I've been to warped tour, red rocks, and even Gathering of the Juggalos (don't judge) and never has anyone died from crowd crush or been pushed off a balcony like at Travis Scott shows. At metal shows the rule is if someone drops in the mosh pit you pick them up.
Wanted to write that about metal/rock shows that it's an unwritten rule to help anyone up if they get on the ground. Ofcourse there's always a dumbass doing karate in the pit or something like that but usually it goes well. And they actually care about the fans' safety, they'll tell them to calm the fuck down if something's going on in the crowd that is dangerous to health.

And the people who participate in the moshpits know the risks. The rest concert goers just stay in the back or sides.

Trufax. I was too close to the edge of a mosh pit once, and someone slammed into me, which knocked the wind out of me and made me hit my head. Activity near me immediately ceased and everyone close by made sure I was ok. All the way to the bathroom, people checked to make sure I wasn’t seriously hurt.

I was there at Astroworld and everyone in my group is ok but it was terrifying. My girlfriend was getting crushed and we both couldn’t breathe but at least we were able to get out of the crowd. She had an asthma attack and she got treated at the medical tent. On our way out of the crowd before we got out I fell and if it weren’t for a big guy in a blue hoodie grabbing my hand and pulling me up I don’t know what would’ve happened. I wish I would’ve been focused enough to thank that guy because if it weren’t for him my girlfriend and I could have been added on to the 8 who died (rest in peace to them). It’s really weird being home after all of this because it’s just strange being surrounded by people who have no idea what we went through, and also being back in normal life feels so weird like how do we go back to normal life knowing we were there when that happened? And on top of that knowing that some people won’t ever be able to come home, that haunts me really bad after all of this. We didn’t even know how serious it was when we were there either, after getting out of the medical tent and heading to leave before the concert was even over I heard a guy saying he couldn’t believe he missed Drake and I said that we had missed basically the entire thing and almost died and he then explained to us how he is CPR certified and saw a girl collapse and she had no pulse and he did CPR on her and they used an AED on her and tried to resuscitate her for over 20 minutes and that she died. Hearing that firsthand really got to me and made me understand what we just got out of and it’s absolutely chilling. Every day I just keep thinking of how thankful I am that I was able to get my girl and I out of there, especially since she’s so small and could’ve gotten really hurt or worse. I’m absolutely appalled by those who were in the crowd and did nothing while people died in front of them, like that guy on top of the ambulance, this was supposed to be an event to have fun at and enjoy, and a part of that is making sure those around you are alright, which a LOT of people did not do. I’m glad this situation is getting attention, because under no circumstances can this EVER happen again. Thank you for covering this situation a bit and giving your opinions about it, and especially for taking it seriously, since you have such a wide audience that you are able to give attention to this tragedy in a way that shows others how wrong it was that this happened. Sorry for the long comment, I can just see how seriously you’re taking this and with how genuine you are I felt that my story might be something you would want to see.

Travis gets to go home and see his child perfectly fine. While some parents will now have to face reality and see that their child is no longer there whenever they come home. And will most likely blame themselves for the rest of their lives that they let their child go to the concert. Grief and guilt are one of the WORST things anyone could go through.

When I first heard it, it was on my local radio station. They all thought it could be that he just didn't see anything and that everyone was doing as much as they could. After seeing footage from Pewds and other creators, it has become clear to me how discussing this event really was.
My heart really goes out to all the people involved. It must just be so traumatizing seeing and dealing with that kind of stuff.
