Just visited Normandy for the first time I’m 68 and the power emotional feeling it gives to you The American cemetery the sacrifice these young men gave to free Europe from evil tyranny!
Michal Čeliš - Thanks for posting. The video gives a good illustration at low tide of the few hundred yards of bare beach sand many troops had to cross before reaching cover. And it shows the nasty high cliffs at Pointe-du-Hoc as well.
Your English is better than 99.9% of our Russian lol....Ww2 was a group effort. America and England couldn't have done it without the Red Army either :)
We came together for a common purpose back then. I think even though the cold war opened up right after ww2, there was a deep down respect for each other that prevented a ww3 from happening all of that time. Hopefully we can keep it going
wow....way so cool with all those WW2 vehicles collection. I would LOVE to tag along with them as a guest. My grandpa landed on Normandy 2 weeks after the landing. Glad he didn't have to start his war then.
Was a much bigger turnout in 94 for the 50th, That was an amazing 2 weeks for me, but also very sombre at the same time. If you ever get a chance to go and look around I urge you to do it, but make sure you visit each one of the cemeteries,. Probably won't be another anniversary like that with the remaining veteran numbers dwindling.
Beautifully prepared and well filmed of a fantastic historic event in world history.I think some prepared commentary may make it more appealing to the masses. Also I would prefer no rock music and the use of appropiate classical music like something from Beethoven.Did the people dislike you flying so close to them?
Very good and interesting video. I will get there one day. It is on my 'bucket list' and this video puts it higher up my list thank you. I would be interested to know the name and location of that camp site?
Dobrý den, chtěl bych se Vás zeptat z jakého důvodu tam je tolik Čechů? Soudil jsem podle těch vlajek na Willysech. To tam každé výročí takhle jezdí? Děkuji za odpověď.
Thoughts go out to the 40,000 French civilians who also lost their lives in the Batttle of Normandy. The number of troops in the landing were not overwhelming at the time. As one US Army General on Omaha radiod to the fleet Admiral, "issue in doubt". The aerial bombardment failed, the paratroopers were landed 7 miles from their drop zone. It was a close run thing until about day three. Then weight of numbers succeeded. Casualties ran at about 35% in one day. Horrific. My dad was in the Pacific War . The stories he told were horrific. Never again. If any politician ever again decides to go to war they should be removed from office immediately and locked up. WW2 consumed nearly 50 million lives and in 1943-45, the US treasury was spending 80% of the govt budget to save EU and Pacific. The debt will never be repaid.

Many of these vehicles participated in "D-day to V-day" event that follows the path of american troops and ends with "Convoy of liberty" in Pilsen, Czech Republic. That's why so many of our flags.
Hi, the last 'song' consists of two songs(I think?) the long ambient piece is Eonium Falls by Ishq, which leads directly into Eternal by FloE & Amo R, for which there were a load of remixes. Not sure which one, it could actually be an Ishq mix (if one exists)
wow a one day battle really set itself into the minds of the western allies deeply huh. tiny casualty list, and we never stop hearing about it - meanwhile on the Russian Front - oh you all lost interest coz no Americans there.
No, I don't; it was actually very interesting. But it was an incongruous and weird moment which took me out of it, and if I'd edited the video I wouldn't have included a strange kid running around. Get back under your bridge Trollio McArseholio
Simon Coates Now you wanna throw weak insults my way. What is wrong with you? I feel so sorry that the kid you speak of in the video (Who everybody see's, makes a quick mental note of and then just moves on) ruined your viewing pleasure and "took you out of it" - Took you out of what exactly? Maybe if you were not such a narrow minded little fuck, you could have just suspended your disbelief and carried on enjoying the video but maybe you just wanted clarification? "1 min 55: special needs kid, surely..?" - So yeah... I would say so yes and its great to know that if you created or uploaded this video... you would have edited him out. Good on you!!

Thank you for the view, I can't but help wonder what a horrible view that was to the lads on the June 6th, 1944.

Chanceux pareil
Awesome job! Such beautiful country; hard to imagine what it was like in June of 44. At least its peaceful and pristine now
wow....way so cool with all those WW2 vehicles collection. I would LOVE to tag along with them as a guest. My grandpa landed on Normandy 2 weeks after the landing. Glad he didn't have to start his war then.

Jeeps driving looks more like Utah beach than Omaha.
It's still scarred from the war. All those impact craters
What music is used in this video?
+Filippo Cordani i would like to know that too!
Good,different.
i know nothing of military tactics....but there could have been a worse place for allied troops to go ashore....sitting ducks
god bless them all.
What are those flags I see ?
+slippery396 Czech Republic or Czechoslovakia at the time of the WWII.
The Czech Republic I live here and I did not know that so many historic club is focused on American reenactment
does any1 know the last song name? i really want it
Eonuim Falls
which leads into Eternal, not sure which mix though
Google doesn't recognize anything called Eonuim Falls.
Please help! :)

Thank you, Ishq itself sounds great!
Tough decision to invade beaches with towering cliffs.
no tanks on omaha ? good vid though
....and no Juno. The usual.
tibor warski imo the most beautifull sector
as per usual barely any recognition for the British and commonwealth forces
cz :))
no German flag at those cars. Why?
well without the french resistance , the ally couldn't wont that battle for sure ... anyway .. USA for ever right :(
they would have won anyways with or without french resistance, but with much, much more casualties and deaths.
No recognition for the British or Canadian allies....
You would've been slaughtered without but hey🤷♂️
And to those unaware I'm talking about Juno beach
wow a one day battle really set itself into the minds of the western allies deeply huh. tiny casualty list, and we never stop hearing about it - meanwhile on the Russian Front - oh you all lost interest coz no Americans there.
1 min 55: special needs kid, surely..?
That's what you take from this video?? Brilliant!
