    It's not too late another world to seek;

    Tennyson is my great++++++ Grandfather. I looked you up because my son had an assignment. His professor is an excellent teacher and I respect him very much. My son was blown away that he had such a great relative.

    This was very helpful analysis - I am working on a writing an address and wanted to use some Tennyson. I've always been a Charge of the Light Brigade guy, but there are some gems (as you point out) in Ulysses as well. I never made the Dante connection... maybe I should get a refund for my English degree... :-) .... Anyway, as a thank you, I bought "Firian Rising" ... best wishes in your endeavors.

      So glad I could help! Yes, I prefer Ulysses to Charge of the Light Brigade, myself. Enjoy Firian Rising 😁

    From what volume were you reading the poem? It looks very spacious and orderly.

    Thank you very much indeed for such a professionally made video. You are crystal clear in your explanations. I really liked your references to other works such as Shakespeare’s Hamlet, and the bible, but also to Theodor Roosevelt’s famous speech ‘The Man in the Arena’.
    By the way, being from London, I just love that Baker Street souvenir magnet.
    Please keep making videos, you are quite brilliant.

    Just a little nit to pick -- Ulysses takes only ten years to get back home, not 20.

      The Trojan War takes ten years before he heads back, so it comes to about twenty years total
