When I was a little kid, the TVs in my house were arranged in a way that if someone changed the channel in the living room, it would somehow change the channel in the basement (I think we could only afford one cable box and found a way to splice it into two TVs). So when I originally saw the ending to this episode, I immediately thought that my mom had messed with the TV and I got upset and threw a fit. I was a rather difficult child :P
I used the quote "like precious precious blood in an animal, the customer keeps the krusty krab strong and alive" in a college paper to explain how important customer service is. Why, because I could not find a better explanation to how important customer service is. My professor said "well this is the first time I've seen this."
There was a fun fact about this episode you missed. During its first airing of this episode (in 2002) They accidentally played the WRONG credit logo. Instead of United Plankton Pictures, they played the Klasky Csupo Logo. EVEN THOUGH Klasky Csupo had NOTHING to do with this episode. They then later fixed it in 2006
Not only is this one of the funniest episodes of Spongebob, it's also one of the most popular Spongebob episodes to make a RUclips poop on. It's hilarious and amazing just how creative RUclips poopers are with this episode, probably because how joke driven it is.
Nah, it's more of a collection of shorts connected together by the training video scheme it followed. I'd compare it to the TV watching episodes of Rick and Morty.
well, i discussed it with my dad, and we came to the conclusion that it was intentional, because they would not put the receipe in a real training video. we kind of thought that the Krusty Krab has publicly released that video for advertisement, so of course they cut it
I actually got excited when i got the VHS of Sponge For Hire and realized this episode was on it and i thought it wouldn't cut off but sure enough it did. But here i always thought it was funnier because it goes STRAIGHT to the credits like nothing is missing. Good Times. P.S. I still have that VHS
When I first watched this I understood the ending, my little brother was watching with me. he was like what happened, I was saying how "They had to cut it because what if plankton watched the training video."
Episodes like this are the reason SpongeBob will always remain my favorite comedy. The fact that these jokes are so collectively ingrained in our current generation's culture, and are still fondly remembered 10+ years later, speaks to their brilliance. They are insanely memorable, and man, are they funny.
this is one of my favorite SpongeBob episodes loved it so much as a kid. had it taped and I thought the end was like someone recording over it. clever bastards lol
It's good to hear you revisit a pre-1st movie episode. Hopefully there's another episode that deserves some more talk in those seasons. Also, comparing the Meh and Scumbob of 1-3 to those of 4+ might be worth considering.
What I find spooky about Patrick in this episode is the line "Your ceiling is talking to me". Seriously, I used to think as a child that the announcer/narrator was just the ceiling. It was that moment that the episode, and the series as a whole, felt relate-able to me as a person.
It's actually funny you reviewed this today, since I was actually thinking about this episode earlier. I was watching That's 70's Show, and they had the episode where Eric gets a job at the burger place, and they had a training video gag that reminded me a lot of this episode (the difference between a Spongebob employee and a Squidward employee part in particular).
This is hands-down my favorite episode. I think it has to do with the unique nature and self-awareness it has. I should also add that one of the best SpongeBob-related RUclips Poops used this episode.
This is definitely one of, if not my most favorite episode of Spongebob ever! I think as an adult, I laugh at that episode more than ever before. I can't think of any joke that didn't make me laugh. My friends and I still quote it to this day. My only complaint is that it didn't get to be longer.
it took me years to realize that that's how the episode actually and it, I kept thinking something kept getting wrong with my TV every time I tried to watch it LOL!
Yeah, as a kid, I adored this episode SO MUCH. It's such a fantastic unique appeal and it really only feels to get better each time you rewatch it. I would watch this episode the most on my Sponge For Hire DVD and Wet Painters is a really great sister episode. In fact, both of these kinda have a somewhat same feel but different feel. My favorite part for some reason was Planktons part and the chaos. Also, Krabs cheapness is really great here. So many great stuff especially Patricks uhhhhhh, lazy - fustrating Squidward, SpongeBob acting like a dog and splitting up. The handwashing scene. But yeah, that ending got me so much as a kid I mean by gosh, I was not expecting that. I was so sad but looking back, this was so brilliant. I was 2-3 when this came out back in 2002 and I love this episode so much.
+mm mm I'd just imagine 5 people are Squidwards and really wish they weren't here right now but I call that a lot of hoopla to make over a little review right ? Ha ha WRONG !! Just kidding, the pieguy is always right.
Yes, this is a very good episode. I agree that the ending is very clever. As for your old reviews, I actually enjoy them, in spite of how old they are.
+PIEGUYRULZ Please review the episode of Henry Danger titled "Substitute Teacher." This episode enraged me more than any other Henry Danger episode and it's even worse watching it a second time. This enraged me even more than "Choir Boys" Please review this episode!!
Sorry this is late, but if he ever decides to get back to doing Bottom of the Bakery again, I'm sure he will if he can find a Bizarro Bakery opposite. Which, I think the episode from Drake & Josh where Josh was Megan's substitute might be the most likely candidate.

on the interactv version (which I may or may not own) after spongebob is just like "THE SERECT FORMULA IS WHAT?!? WHAT?!?! WHAT?!?! WHAT?!?!" it's just as funny as the episode cutting off
I really enjoyed this episode of Spongebob. It is easily one of my fa... HOOPLA!!! :/ It is easily one of my fa... HOOPLA!!! >:( It is easily one of my... HOOPLA!!! *_Looks at the guy shouting_* HOOPLA!!! *_DONK!_* _Ahem_ As I was saying... It is easily one of favorite episodes of the show, and it will remain so for as long as I live.

This ha to be one of my all-time favorite episodes of SpongeBob. Back when Nickelodeon did the "Best Day Ever" countdown of the top "100" (I use that number loosely since they skipped a bunch of numbers) episodes, I was hoping and praying this one would be at #1, but sadly it was not. The jokes this episode has are pure gold. I could watch this episode on repeat all day. Speaking of the "Best Day Ever" countdown, do you think you could do a Spongy Bits on the "Best Day Ever" episode and go into your thoughts and opinions on the countdown in general? I have a lot of thoughts about that one and want to hear your take on it first before I post anything. Every once and a while it is good to have a Spongy Bits where there are only amazing things to say about an episode. This one is unique on many levels and I would venture so far as to say one of the greatest episodes of a cartoon in recent history.
the cut off is so abrupt because its not after a word is fimished, its within a rather short word ("is") so we expect it to fimish becahse its a short word.
i say you do a video where you revisit the boating school episodes! especially the first one, since you literally just said it was good without explaining why back then
You're right, it wasn't originally one of your best reviews. Of course there wasn't a buzz on the school bus the following day, cause it aired on a Friday afternoon!
All the Sister episodes to PieGuy's favorite episodes(of a season) are; 1. Home Sweet Pineapple 2. Artist Unknown 3. MM&BB5 5. New Digs 6. Grooming Gary 7. Yours, Mine & Mine 9. Safe Deposit Krabs 10. House Worming

This sounds like the setup for some sitcom plot about sharing the TV xD
That was a gag in That 70s Show.
didn't it show a Nickelodeon icon in the corner?
+wariolandgoldpiramid Not during the commercial break.
CaptainJZH oh, so the credits weren't shown during that airing?
The part with Squidward and Patrick makes gets me even to this day
uhhhhh~
+Anime Central Bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang.
lol
Santoryu90 'Cause if you want a burger, eat a burger!
If you want a french fry, EAT A FRENCH FRY!!

Why, because I could not find a better explanation to how important customer service is. My professor said "well this is the first time I've seen this."
Brilliant.
I need that button that Squidward had in the episode.
We all do
It's on Amazon.
I'll wear it in class.
Lego Fan 74 I have it! Except it's not a real button.
Zanu QueenOfWolves HOOPLA

They also the one with the ugly creepy face

For references sake, look at AwfulFawful, Sinnedtragedy98, and BarackObamaLikesPoop.
The episode itself basically IS a RUclips Poop.
Nah, it's more of a collection of shorts connected together by the training video scheme it followed. I'd compare it to the TV watching episodes of Rick and Morty.
I'll have one Expensive Sofa please
14 years later, and still my all-time favorite.
Pizza
+Axis Well, it is the pizza for you and me
It took me until I was 11 years old to realize the cut off was intentional
I always thought it was a mistake too
well, i discussed it with my dad, and we came to the conclusion that it was intentional, because they would not put the receipe in a real training video.
we kind of thought that the Krusty Krab has publicly released that video for advertisement, so of course they cut it

It took me 7
anybody remember when The KLASKY CSUPO ROBOT( a nickelodeon error that went from 2002 until 2006) would pop up after the Episode credits went off?
When poop jokes were actually funny...
People
Order
Our
Patties
So wait, poop means the townfolk ordering a krabby patty. So that means, it's a dirty action. HOLY CRAP DIRTY JOKE CONFIRMED!
Eeewww
Honestly, this might be my second favorite SpongeBob episode ever.
When I first watched this I understood the ending, my little brother was watching with me. he was like what happened, I was saying how "They had to cut it because what if plankton watched the training video."
I knew I should've gone with the turbo...
This episode is so good even the filler is funny
I actually thought the krusty krab was a real restaurant when I saw this as a kid.
IKR? Just don't forget: The store closes at 6.
Now THIS is a great episode! 87/100
"the money is always right"
_Mr.Krabs

Honestly, this might be my second favorite SpongeBob episode ever. So genius.
This is actually my favorite SpongeBob episode

Pie that thumbnail. OH MY THAT THUMBNAIL!
whenever i see your videos in my inbox, it makes me happy
Yeah, this will always be in my top 10 episodes of the series. Great video!
A Sopranos ending five years before it actually happened.
Really good Spongey Bits video! I really love this episode too, definitely top 10 worthy. :)
this is one of my favorite SpongeBob episodes loved it so much as a kid. had it taped and I thought the end was like someone recording over it. clever bastards lol
It's good to hear you revisit a pre-1st movie episode. Hopefully there's another episode that deserves some more talk in those seasons.
Also, comparing the Meh and Scumbob of 1-3 to those of 4+ might be worth considering.
I'm glad you went with the minimalistic thumbnail. I got some serious nostalgia when seeing this video in my subscription box!
What I find spooky about Patrick in this episode is the line "Your ceiling is talking to me". Seriously, I used to think as a child that the announcer/narrator was just the ceiling. It was that moment that the episode, and the series as a whole, felt relate-able to me as a person.

unfortunately with reruns the end joke is spoiled now a days,by nick showing the credits to the episode in the last few minutes of an episode
Yeah, I found that kind of annoying.
This episode is one of the BEST because it IS indeed a different and unique structure! I did research and it's known as an "out of genre" episode.
The sister episode Wet Painters is also really funny! Both of the episodes are some of my favorites.
This is hands-down my favorite episode. I think it has to do with the unique nature and self-awareness it has. I should also add that one of the best SpongeBob-related RUclips Poops used this episode.
HOW CAN MR. KRABS BE IN THE NAVY HE'S UNDERWATER

My favourite episodes:
Season 1: SB-129
Season 2: Frankendoodle (Yes I consider this better than Band Geeks)
Season 3: Krusty Krab Training Video
I was so happy when I saw you uploaded a new spongebob video
This episode didn't need a story, you can thank Aaron Springer, C.H. Greenblatt, and Kent Osborne for writing such an iconic episode
This is definitely one of, if not my most favorite episode of Spongebob ever! I think as an adult, I laugh at that episode more than ever before. I can't think of any joke that didn't make me laugh. My friends and I still quote it to this day. My only complaint is that it didn't get to be longer.
Sounds like a lot of hoopla to make over a little krabby patty, huh? Haha
WRONG!
This is a top 5 episode for season 3. I loved it and its amazing that its been 14 years since the episode aired.
it took me years to realize that that's how the episode actually and it, I kept thinking something kept getting wrong with my TV every time I tried to watch it LOL!
If the Krusty Krab Training Video was a special, it would be in my top 3
Cool vid. It's definitely unique and one of my favorites. I thought the same thing about the ending.

And NO viewer wants to be a squidward!
I love it when his Piecon turns into the troll face.

Sorry this is late, but if he ever decides to get back to doing Bottom of the Bakery again, I'm sure he will if he can find a Bizarro Bakery opposite. Which, I think the episode from Drake & Josh where Josh was Megan's substitute might be the most likely candidate.

Yeah, after seeing you tackle seasons 4-7, I can't go back to your reviews of the first few that easily.
on the interactv version (which I may or may not own) after spongebob is just like "THE SERECT FORMULA IS WHAT?!? WHAT?!?! WHAT?!?! WHAT?!?!" it's just as funny as the episode cutting off
+Anime Central Really? I've never heard of this version.
So SpongeBob doesn't know what the krabby patty formula is? Then why is he able to cook the patties :/
+PIEGUYRULZ I mean the credits roll, when he says it is on the end screen after the credits
That ending trolled the hell out of all of us Lol
This is my favorite episode
I loved this episode, it was weird but awesome
Oh lol I never thought much about the cut off at the end
Tom Kinney did voice the announcer
Nope. According to IMDb, that was Steve Kehela.
+PinkiePie97 oh thanks
Honestly this is still the best Spongebob Episode yet in my opinion
Aaron Springer and Carl Greenblatt are my favorite writing duo on the show
You know what pieguy*rulz* You actually do rule.

My No.1 Favorite!

OK! The secret formula is...!
I always thought the ending was a glitch when I first saw this episode in 2002.
Imagine modern spongebob doing something like this
This is my favourite episode of SpongeBob!
The Hoopla Guy always made me lol.
I'm waiting for Steven Bomb Week 3 Discussion.
I hope Pie recorded his thoughts :p

Could you make a square theory on why SpongeBob is memed so often?
Spongegar, Me Krabs blur meme, I did this ____ and only cried 20 times, ytps, spoons rattling, 'imagination', *breathes in* *boi*, spongebobs face when Squidward likes krabby patties, the lifeguard looking pissed when spongebob faked his drowning, *spongebob looking concerned over life while at a diner with a coffee cup*, spongebob and Squidward salivating over the KK pizza but memed so it's spongebobs p, shift into maximum pony drive, 'I am a man' while spongebobs holds a tiny razor and looks determined. .
Judging by Mr. Krabs cannon age, I'd say Vietnam

NOT WHEN I SHIFT INTO MAXIMUM OVERDOSE. smoke weed every day
You should have cut the video off mid-sentence at the end to replicate the joke ;)
Already did that in the season 3 video.
Oh. Okay, still would've been cool.
actually I watched the season 3 video, no you didnt
Anime Central
Actually I MADE the season 3 video. I'm 100 percent sure. I cut to black mid sentence, then the credits come up.
+PIEGUYRULZ at the end you mean? oh~, I thought you meant during the review
the cut off is so abrupt because its not after a word is fimished, its within a rather short word ("is") so we expect it to fimish becahse its a short word.
Nice. Do you think you could do a review of detentionaire?
"The Money is Always WRONG!!!" Get trolled

i say you do a video where you revisit the boating school episodes! especially the first one, since you literally just said it was good without explaining why back then
This is the first video i watched after i woke up.
you should do dunces and dragons re review, to explain why this special is great while many others are not.
Great idea
The people who disliked this video is a Squidward.
You're right, it wasn't originally one of your best reviews. Of course there wasn't a buzz on the school bus the following day, cause it aired on a Friday afternoon!
Actually the best episode of the show, bar-none.
I actually thought that the review is gonna cut out in the middle of a sentence
You should do a Spongy Bits reviews on the sister episode, "Wet Painters."
