Because the job of the press is to hold government to account, not the other way around. Having said that, it's not mere criticism of the press, some of which is warranted, that is really at issue here; rather, it is the casting of it as the "enemy of the people" and automatically "fake news" if unfavourable to Trump.

He is NOT a politician he is the kind of guy who can get things done. The right to free speech means for EVERYONE, not just one group of people. It includes everyone you dislike, even hate. Anything less isn't free speech at all, that is only being allowed to say what a certain group says you can. Otherwise known as fascism. I don't like Trump, or most politicians. But I support their right to say what they want just like I support anyone else's right to say what they want. When someone - ANYONE is censored because they 'offend' someone you are confining freedom into a cage, and that's how dictatorships begin.
The fact is, you can't say anything without offending someone. There are ALWAYS going to be people who totally disagree with whatever is said. And the 'solution' isn't to censor everyone and everything. That's what China is.
It's the same for people that campaign for other people's right to be taken away just because THEY don't like a certain thing. AR-15 style guns for example.
