After watching the documentary on Netflix who k@lled Jill Dando I google serach QC Micheal and came across this video. I really admire his work. I have followed many of his cases but had no clue Micheal was defending those in need. In a system where many judges and barristers have studied together or in the same social privilege circle. It is hard for many of them to relate to people from socially deprived backgrounds. Micheal gets it and we need more people like him.
I overlapped at Keele (1968-73) with Michael Mansfield. Probably for a year or two. I remember his stint as Secretary of the Student Union. I have enormous respect for him. I am so sorry to hear about the tragedy that befell his daughter. Sending every good wish to him and his wife. Tony C xx
