Yes, ola has horrible horrible after sales support. they only brag about technological "advancement" but can't cope with normal support to their users .....
EV companies should come together and bring a uniform charging standard. This will solve a lot of issues and doubts a consumer have when buying EV vehicles for the first time. Particularly, for those who live in small rented where the owners don't allow them charge.
I guess speaking from the perspective of an Ather Apex's owner you wouldn't really want to wait behind a long line of random brand scooters with very slow charging times at your brand's fast charging station. Since, you paid a premium for the product you'd expect the infra to cater to you alone. Your argument makes sense if other charging stations pop up like from companies that are only in the EV charging business and they keep multiple charger types for different manufacturers like different phones have different charging ports so we buy different cables.. Happy to hear your thoughts.
CCS2 already existed and is still used by 4 and 3 wheelers. The moron govt doesn't have the balls to make it mandatory for every EV just like how EU mandates strict common standards
Govt itself should've mandated CCS2 just like how the EU did but sadly, our bureaucrats are technically illiterate. Why have separate ports for 4, 3 and 2 wheelers? An EV charger should be able to charge just any vehicle
The only reason I bought Ather over Ola 2 years back was REALIABILITY. Even after driving 18k kms..the only parts replaced are brake pads.. that's it. Everytime you full throttle it on highway, you can feel the fit & finish of the product. Ola was 20k cheaper but still went with Ather and since then no regrets. Proud ather owner 😎
Look, no bullshit. I completed one year with Ather and it costed me 1.75 lacs. After 1 year, if I was asked to pay 2.5 lacs, I would have paid it. Because please know the "headache" also has some value. I had ZERO headache with the Ather in the last one year. Heck, I haven't even needed to service it even once. Also, Ather ride feels so much more sturdier than any other scooter. There were times I could have met in an accident, but the ride, build and handling quality of the scooter saved me. I once made a call to a support agent and I got the help in 2 mins. Kudos! In short, Ather has got it's shit together. Period. EDIT: Ride mode for plain road riding single. Sports mode for high speed, doubles and uphill. Do this to get the best mileage. Don't ride in Eco mode thinking it will give you more mileage 🙂
@@satyamagarwal8143 I cannot say about it. I can only comment on 450X. Please don't try to save little money here. Put in the full money and the scooter will take care of you 🙂
@@satyamagarwal8143 i have ather 450s and yes you can buy it. ofcourse you wont get touch screen but i dont need the touch screen , i just like traditional way of riding. plus as for range you can get 90 to 100 in smart eco mode .but best part is its software it has very few bug which comes time to time but the key point is that even if you are riding the scooter and at that time your screen get blank or something , your scooter wont stop , all of its feature like accleration , break etc will work properly
Someone on twitter X said there scooter got a software update and couldn't move their vehicle and got late for office is there no option to postpone updates on ather or they fixed it?
I own an Ather from last 2 years , and it's flawless. You will love it when you use it over a period. Only thing I don't like is the support dealer network, better to find a good dealer while planing to purchase. I feel the top varient is the paisa wosul varient.
So, here’s the deal: I rode my Ola scooter for 12,000 kms, dealing with a bunch of software bugs along the way, but nothing too serious. Then, out of nowhere, the suspension gave out, and I had to get it replaced. What followed was a wild goose chase-I was sent from one service center to another, visiting five or six of them just to drop off the scooter. It took them a whole week to finally fix it. Now, I can honestly say, Ola is terrible in pretty much every way!
@@techwiser btw one more thing, ola was supposed to give the gen 2 pro a upated motor (where the motor and mcu are in one unit), ola still doesnt give it the updated motor/mcu, its the same as gen 1 The power figure is also at gen 1 power levels 8.4 kw, it doesnt get 11kw. Someone can literally sue ola as its an open and close case, literally false advertisement and sales. The RC card also shows it as 11kw This is apart from their shitty tactics, like selling the scooter for 1.47 lakh and discounting it to 1.28, and keeping the price same even after subsidy got reduced by 15k this meant that ola could have sold the s1 pro gen 2 for 1.1l ex showroom while still maintaining the same profit margins as right now but they chose to extort the customers
@@rahuljha3965 people think that in this day and age, every company should be perfect from the get go, forgetting that Maruti Suzuki is in the market for several decades, that's why their after sales service and resale value is amazing, even though their security rating is shit.
Its 2year 7 months that i have been using my ola rode about 25k.. Its a 75-25 on satisfaction level.. I went to service center only 2 times till date.. Faced few software glitches but not major.. I ride in all types of modes every day as I commute on highway.. Best part is when i need speed i can hit 110+ and when i need range i can hit 135+ km.. The most useful feature for me is the cruise mode i use it a LOT.. And when we go on the small chapri races on the road with the other EV's and moped's, it will never let you down.. I only lost to Gen -2 ola a few times but never to any other brand till date..
I bought iqube last year and drove 9000km+ and so far other than battery loosing about 2% capacity/2-3 km range, iqube has been fantastic. Not much in terms of features but works effortlessly. Only thing I would like to change is to tvs to start having charging grid like ather. Because even though given charger works with every single socket it takes quite time to charge it and we got no fast dc charging available.
i have i qube and 450s. everyone says that iqube is better in build quality(by looking at both), but I ride both and I know that the ather is far better. ather is sturdy, and iqube has started giving me khat khat noise same as that comes from any old activa when you go on a bumpy road.
I bought an ev scooter as well back in Dec 2021, it's called Pure EV Etrance Neo. It promised a range of 120 kms in Eco mode (mode 1) and top speed of 60kmph in the most powerful mode (mode 3). I used it primarily for commute from home to work and back. To my surprise it gave me a range of 125kms on 2 occasions with the ride varying between all 3 modes. In March or May 2022, within 3-5 months of purchase, the scooter shut off abruptly whilst a 40ft container truck was being overtaken (having done only about 40 kms after full charge). I reported the service centre and received a replacement battery after a few days. Little did I know it was just the beginning of an utterly hectic and annoying ownership experience. Fast forward to July 2023 (not that the period I skipped was trouble free but I don't have the energy to type as there were plenty lots including BMS issue, some Faraday unit replacement, etc), one fine morning at 7am I set out for work and inside 15kms the scooter shut off. Informed the ASC and I tell you they are a set of pretty funny and humorous people. They picked the call up at 10am and asked me to bring the scooter to the ASC, 13kms away, so they could check for the issue; funny isn't it. After checking they said it's some issue with the battery and it's common with most of their scooters these days and strangely as soon as it's put on charge again it starts working for another 10-15kms. So they asked to carry the charger with me wherever I go so I could charge it if need be.. pretty funny eh😂 They sent the battery to their factory in Hyderabad and several months later, in December I guess, I get a call from the factory saying my battery is fixed and have to pay Rs 20k for the battery or they have a battery exchange offer running in which I could pay Rs 20k and get the new battery.. funny again ehh😂. All this for a battery (less than 2 yrs old) that already had 3 yrs of warranty+ additional 2yrs that I paid for. When asked about the warranty they say "the warranty is void as I hadn't serviced the scooter on time as per their service records". "Hold hold..I don't know about your records but I have a service records book in which your dealer certifies that I have completed every single service on time. So, whatever is being done to my battery I want them all covered under warranty and I'm not paying your company another penny". Here I am now in August 2024 waiting for a favorable judgement from the Consumer Court after filing a case in Feb earlier this year.
I did extensive research and decided to go with Ather or TVS. Then Ola announced big discount and 8 years battery warrenty for their gen2 bikes. Didn't think much, booked one. Big mistake. The brand new scooter didn't start during RTO registration, they don't have spares to fix. It's been 6 months, no delivery, no refund, no response from customer care even for a legal notice. I booked the scooter as a birthday gift for my wife. Now think about my situation.Bhash is a fraud, deceiving gullible people in the name of nationalism. Beware of Ola. Run away for better mental peace. Not everyone have time and energy to approch consumer court.
@@rahuljha3965 Everytime I ask refund, they create a new support ticket. Thats the maximum response i got from Ola. Already sent a legal notice, still waiting for their response.
@@gokuls9062imagine getting 10k refund for returning your scooter lmao that’s just pathetic. Also, just cuz you got a refund doesn’t mean the other person also got refund.
The screen goes off even in ather and the update happens on its own so at those times, you wont get to see the screen. in the past 14 months it happened about 4-5 times. but the good part is, even if the screen goes blank, the vehicle still works.
@@me.atul10 I've encountered this issue a few times now. It's really frustrating because it can be dangerous in an emergency. The last time it happened, I couldn't even start the vehicle. The update process took 10-15 minutes, and I was lucky I wasn't in a hurry.
hey naveen in the recent updates ather will inform you 1 day before the update and will warn you to satrt your journey 10 minute before because of the update
One major aspect of the Ather scooter that I found less appealing is the splash-back from the rear tire. On wet roads, the person sitting behind on the vehicle often gets splashed by water coming up from the back, which can be quite inconvenient.
As TechWiser, you should know that the range you get in Ather does not depend on the mode but how you ride it. Mode just enables power and top speed and considers that you'll ride in the max possible power and shows you the range. Try same style everyday riding in Sports or Warp you'll still get range of Ride.
I own both the Ather 450x gen 3 and Ola s1 pro gen 2. Ather has better build quality, service, and ease of use. Ola has better range. Easily 20+kms compared to Ather
@@SonguBongu-v8j is possible if you ride extremely slow and in eco mode. I ride both my vehicles in their fastest mode ie wrap and hyper. In hyper mode I’ve ridden 117kms and still had 17 percent of charge left. So it can hit the claimed 140kms.
@@johnny_bravo9990build quality is decent. Better than Chinese imports but worse than Ather, tvs etc. I’ve ridden Ola almost 13000kms and haven’t faced any major issues. Other than the touch not responding which can be fixed by a simple reboot haven’t faced any issues
I have been using OLA S1 Pro since April 2023 and I ride for a total of 25,800 KMS after purchasing it and so far I haven't faced any issues apart from Suspension. If you want to have good range you should handle your scooter with care.
Bhavish knows how to hype things and get the required attention for his brand On the other hand ather focuses silently on building the best product ( no copy paste ) True innovators 👍
I brought mine about a month ago, in Kerala it cost me 1.56 L on road. Real-world range around 80 to 90 but if you ride carefully you can get more than that, yesterday I rode for 40km one way, and it was showing me a efficiency of 37km per unit, basically meaning more than 100 range, but i rode very carefully with efficiency in mind not crossing 50 and being gentil on the accelerator. Overall a nice experience for me too, but I am facing some problems with charging in the grid, after the new update it's not a simple plug and play, it's keeping showing not charging and having to plug and unplug multiple times to get it start charging, and also facing some issues while unplugging also, it keeps stuck for some time.
@@SiD-ve6zy For me personally, just 132k and it's great, it does 90% of what a 450X can do for way less $$$. You would miss on a touch screen (do you really need it? it's surely better for navigation though) and slightly lesser range due to a smaller battery size, but thats about it.

I have been riding Ola S1 Pro for 6 months now. I wanted a family scooter so chose this, definitely on that point i am totally satisfied. My mother is able to sit comfortably one side due to wide seat. I can easily fill 1 weeks provisions and groceries under the seat easily. I get 156 kms range in Eco mode. 8 years batter warranty gives me peace of mind as battery is the heart of an EV scooter.

I am riding Ather 450X Gen 3 from 1.5 yrs now.. All good not found any major issues. Just range should have been bit more😊.. Waiting for Ather to launch bikes now with more range..
Ola costs less, has more features, more range and bigger motor while still costs less than Ather. Ather has reliability but they are expensive, also they sell through third party dealers who force battery pro subscription and try to extract extra money during service. If only Ola could get their service network sorted, they'll become Maruti of EV two wheelers. Plus their own cell manufacturing will give them even more cost advantage.
Hmm but the owner is a shady person, don't go with these kind of businessmen who don't recognise and respect their customers' grievances, Don't go for those cheap and saste ke chakkar me dimag aur sme khrab krne ka sauda
@@Gurpreetsinghpreet1 Bro give him a chance, he has promised to sort out the service problems. Nahi sort hui to mat lena. But aise kisi company ko neglect kyo karna. We as a consumer benefit from competition. And baat sasta h to lelo, Ola is providing more range and more powerful motor at less price. Consumers should look at what company and product gives them the best VFM. Ather has so many years of R&D experience, which is why they have comparatively better reliability let Ola take their time to get things sorted. Maine khud EV nahi liya, but test ride me dikhta h Ola ki power. Agar service theek hui to Ola lunga, warna jo best VFM hoga woh lunga.
Owner of a Ather 450X series 1 (limited edition) here, have had the scooter for more than 3 years now and haven't had any major problems whatsoever. Very reliable and great build quality. The charging network in Bengaluru is excellent. Only thing i wish that could be better is that they should include ABS, the rear tyre locks up easily when you brake hard. Other than that no issues, you can go for it without any worries :^)
EV is not just about making smart scooters making a automobile takes a lot of expertise and experience so I trusted TVS and bought iqube for 150000 6 months back riden 12000 kms no problem and no hassle till now and I am confident when I ride my scooter and I know that it will work atleast for the next 5 years so I am in a sukoon state of being
As a proud Ather owner since 1.5 years, Ather never disappoints me. My friend bought and Ola S1 Pro at same time and he is cursing himself for that decision, because of buggy software, unavailability of spares and piss poor customer service. Here's an incident, he once went to customer service center for a suspension issue and people over their said that they can repair but it will take atleast 2 weeks and the best way out it to ride the scooter with it's existing bad suspension. I then decided "NEVER USE anything has OLA in its name". Coming to Ather, everyone who tried my scooter were just 🤯 with the experience and I would recommend it to anyone with a second thought. It's reliability is top notch. Period. It so happened that once I didn't use scooter for more than a month and battery went to 0, but it started charging immediately after I plugged it in. The nearest competitor to Ather is TVS iQube but it still has to catch-up with Ather in terms of performance and features. The minor issue I have is the price for servicing. Although I never had to go to service center and pay out of pocket, I heards it's expensive even if we opt for servicing once a year.
I have been using Ola for 5 months and more than 6k km run, had some issues in the beginning but after a month by updating everything has been butter smooth, range in normal mode 70 safe and eco 85 to 90 safe
Great video!!!❤❤ Just wanted to add a point, the build quality of the Ola scooter just felt cheaper and didn't instill confidence whereas I found Ather's build quality to be pretty good
Driving ola from the last 2.5 years... Drive around 23,000 km....bugs are there, sometimes the screen does not work, when we enter the number key to unlock it's not responsive. We have not faced any major issues till date. The scooter is working fine, no problem at all..
@@RSK1607 OLA definitely holds its own with solid range and performance. 💪 The bugs and customer service could be better, but overall, it’s not a bad choice at all!
I own an Ather 450x gen 4 and it is probably the best transition from an ICE scooter one can get! My father uses it occasionally and he can ride the whole way not once touching the screen like a traditional scooter and for someone like him in the mid 50s thats the best way to give them confidence "Ride it like your activa, here's the key" was what I told him the first time he wanted to try it and you can see how relieved he was. Not one issue so far (finger's crossed) and like mentioned in the video, the staff is very friendly and genuinely want to help you if you have any requests.
Everything goes well with Ather towards pricing unless we came to know all features are add-ons through propack and it costs 15k and after 3 years need to recharge esim for each year to encash the features Ladies footrest: 2k Safety Guard also costs you more And all other accessories are add-ons 👏 Can someone comment down regarding OLA electric just want to save some money as I don't have enough time to get delivery, Ather Rizta model having around 1month time to get delivered. Proud Ather owner since 2 years. The scooter is just amazing, it's built is sturdy, way more reliable than any other electric scooter out there and I didn't even need much servicing. It costed me around 1.5 lacs but it's totally worth the money. It's hands down the best electric scooter out there.
Ather is hands down the best EV scooter in the country at least, if not the world. I would recommend people to pay the premium since it is a long term investment. I guarantee it will be worth it. However a few minor cons to note: 1) Parking is a little challenging in tight spaces. The scooter leans a lot. Even the parking stand feels wobbly, but no issues so far. 2) The range shown on the dashboard is accurate. But if you ride rashly, the range goes down significantly. 3) If you plan on purchasing 450s, the arrow navigation via MapMyIndia is a hit and miss. It works only 60-70% of the times and doesn't show the shortest route most of the times. 4) If you have aged parents or females who sit on the back with both their legs on one side, it may cause an issue. My mom hates the backseat because she feels that the seat is a way too elevated and the bar at the backseat for support is horizontal and difficult to hold. 5) Tall riders may find an issue with lack of leg space. The handle gets in your way while turning.
Im ridding Aether for 5 months now. I only had an issue where bike suddenly stopped and late responding to the button actions and speed is not crossing 27KM/HR. I had to visit service center to fix it. Unfortunately i can not compare both as i did not had an opportunity to try an ola but what i can say is the agility, convenience, practicality and design make me go for an aether and im fully satisfied with it. I would strongly recommend this EV.
*I believe people who don't need these crazy features and want a scooter to work as a petrol scooter but as a EV, buy Chetak, its solid, look good and never disappoints* 😊
I don’t comment on SM, boy the effort you all have put in to create this video deserves a big big 👏🤙👍. The details, the information, experience, energy, the over all thought process and commitment to the tech/ content is sheer amazing. Thank you for another informative & much needed video. All the best.
This is why they launched RIZTA which i use now and feel great about it. Gives 120+ range in smarteco. Feels fun. Sounds awesome. Great practical scooter out there
I've been riding an Ola S1 X+ for the last 8 months as my daily driver and have covered over 7,000 km so far. Overall, I don't have much complaints. The range is quite good-about 90 km in Normal mode, and Eco mode gives me up to 120 km, or a lil less. There are some software bugs here and there, but nothing major. I also had an accident in between, but the service centre replaced the parts within 2-3 days. Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones, but for the price of 1 lakh, it's been a pretty solid purchase so far.
Ather is extremely reliable vehicle...I don't have to commute, but I do a lot of nature off roading and stuffs, if it was unreliable or glitchy, I won't just have inconvenience, I would be in mortal danger literally in jungles infested with elephants and leopards...But, with Ather I take it in core areas without disturbing anyone and the trust that I will have no issues...have been using it since 3 years without any issue. completed 20K kms.

Hello Prathik, it is good to see that our well trusted channel/community started on EV. The animations and editing were great, we would love to see more on this topic.
This comment is dedicated for Ola owners 1. The range as it is said in the video Ola had less accuracy in it. But according to the Sankalp in the move OS 5 update it will be resolved. 4. As it is mentioned in Video, the Ola had many bugs, yes, I agree, but Ola had given the solution to reboot. This thing was not at all mentioned in the video, and this is the instant instant solution for any bugs and issues with software and handle Lock and other issues. 5. As it is mentioned in the video, the Service Centre of the Ola is not good, but it’s not hundred percent true. Service Centre is maybe bad, but Service Centre near me was good. Had a small issue with my Ola scooter on the Service Centre was far away from my town. They sent the Of the employee to solve my issue. These are the things I felt wrong with this video, and the other things was right, which he was told with Ola. As it is mentioned in the Sankalp after move OS 5 update, the issues like bugs will be resolved, and some AI features will come for Ola and I’m really excited ! For move is 5 update
I own Ather for almost 2yrs now, didn't face any problem with it, only once the screen went blank while riding in 2yrs, i just restarted it and everything came back to normal 😉
For the reasons you mentioned for Ola and Due to Size constraint of Ather, I chose Vida V1. Has Ather grid support, removable batteries and stable software and better build quality. Range is about the same as Ather, and it's fine for my 30ish KM daily commute.
OLA SERVICE IS HORRIBLE! INSTEAD GET A RELIABLE VEHICLE. EVEN AFTER BUYING THERE CARE PLUS PLAN MY SCOOTER IS UNATTENDED FOR 1 MONTH. MAKE A WISE CHOICE.
I have been using 450s (with Pro Pack) for six months and it is the best decision I made while upgrading from a 14 year old Honda CB Unicorn. Range is point blank accurate. Looks premium, has great Ride and handling and I have used Sports mode only once! Anyday better than OLA.
In my opinion, skip both for now. Went for a 250cc bike on heavy discounts instead of an ev scooter. The experience has been flawless, only been to service centre for regular service in the 3 years that I have had it. In fact during this time I had to help two people who owned an ather. One of my friends got stuck when his athers belt broke and the other one met with an accident because ather does not have abs.
Some criticism about the graphics, when you use alphabets in the circles: you can make them different colored. All of them were green and it i didn't realise what they were untill i was about 80% through the video. Also they could last longer and have labels.
Ather 450x bought in 2023 1.3l -20-40 gov sub when red colour was launched still running crisp and smooth. Used silicon spary in chain for smooth ride sounds. Even I haven't seen any bugs yet .nice app now
I have an Ather 450X gen 2, have been using it for about 2-2.5 years now and dam I love the machine, there were about 3 months this year when I was commuting 62KMs a day oh and the Ather killed it, I pretty much always use it in smart eco and I've had 2-3 people till me this has great pick up and I was bruh it's in eco. The peace of mind of knowing the range you are seeing is exactly what you'll get if not more, I often get more range than it shows because I use regenerative braking a lot
Owning my Ather 450x for about 8-9 months around 9000km+ . The only complaint I have is the belt making a lot of noise after the rainy season. Also because the roads on the way home are horrible the belt gets too dirty. It'll be good again once I get it serviced but I think after the rainy season the service centre is busier than usual. Else, Ather is way better EV than any other EV on the market. 100% reliable.

I use an ola s1 gen1, i have faced some irritating software bugs, the same ones you mentioned But I have now made peace with it and i really appreciate the ride quality of an ev scooter When i bought it ,i got it for 1.21lac whereas ather was straightup 1.46 lacs at that time
Loved the comparison! Loved the startup animations and sequences shown. Just one improvement- try to speak at lower volumes. Sounds harsh. Evident at the beginning of video
Have done 23k in one year and i love my Ather 450x. Its a great product. Once i did 23kms in Warp mode in just 35 mins and I've seen OLA kicking down performance in such conditions
I have been using Ather 450x since 18 months, not faced any major challenges apart from screen goes blank very rarely, even though the scoot will run without any hassles. One major thing is it could have a bit more range in sports mode upto 100km this can do wonders. Because i tried and tested in all modes only sports & warp are returning true dashboard range and vehicles runs on this modes like a glider in the sky, especially when you hit warp that is next to extraordinary level of pickup easily could beat up any 250cc in drag race. My overall experience is satisfactory with SVC's nothing issues so far. Till date it costed me only 2600/- for 2nd service and brake pads change. Seems back tyres of this scooter worns so fast my one has just run 10k and back tyre yet to worn out soon in another 1000km.
I have drove both ola and ather and i own an Ather 450X if you are riding in city areas i think its better to put it in Smart eco mode but the initial speeding will be less but it will increase the speed limit to 62 km/hr when we use the smart eco continuously.Smart eco is depends on the road conditions like traffic we have at that point and it will limit speed to get better range . If once we know about it and we can get a range upto 110 km if you lacks some power up there just switch the mode . Initial times i also dont know about it but i gradually understood how to use that mode now im fine with that mode
Smart eco mode will take an average speed in a minute something like that and based on the the throttle responds is like . If we have open road just put it in smart eco we can go as in ride mode .If we brake and slows the speed it will down the speed limit and acceleration
We as online motorcycle taxi drivers use electric motorbikes, prioritizing battery capacity with a range of more than 200 km. I'm from Indonesia, an online motorcycle taxi driver.
I ride pure ev entrance Neo from last 2-3 years without any issues . No service, no issues as of now. Only once I had break problem after 2 years. I had it fixed within 600 😊
1+ year of Ather 450X gen2, drove around 10k. I get around 105 kms on a full charge. Daily driver. Best at handling, city driving. Had some issues with throttling and regen but Ather service center resolved it. So far, very much satisfied.
I have both Ather 450x gen 1 and a suzuki vstrom bike. Scooter is my brother's but I ride it regularly only. My view is ev is good for commute upto 35-40kms to and fro which makes the total of 80km max. (Your typical Delhi to Noida or ggn). I get very anxious on anything more than that! 😂 And trust me on the "good" part. Ather is really good for short commutes. I just wish the mirrors were better and the maps and data connectivity suffers sometimes. But everything else in the riding experience is great! So coming back to tackle the anxiety. I would just rely on anything more than 70-80kms I even take my bike if I am going from Delhi to Greater Noida for Instance. I just want the headache of trying to find a station, going off route, waiting on queue and then taking a good 40 min break to charge my vehicle. Plus any bad roads, rainy season and all bike can take it all. Bottom line - I love my Vstrom more but I like to take the Scooty out for easy and simple rides when I am not wanting to lug my bike around and also want to carry some things in the trunk.

I was really excited for that EV, it looks straight up from GTA. However, AFIK, the showrooms are available only 3 states - Hyderabad, Chennai, and Bangalore. And again, it's been only 6 months since they started delivering the scooter. Too less data to comment anything. I recently purchased s1 pro for 1.45 from Bengaluru…I choose it over ather450x because 1) I like the looks of Ola..especially the headlights 2) better range 3) feature rich( ather was charging another 20000rs for smart features) 4) charging point( yes both companies charging point and service station is within 5km from my location) Ola fast charging facility is free and I can charge upto 70% there and rest in my home…issue is sometimes there will be issue with charging ports /and it will be occupied as someone else will be charging..but I’ve seen Ola owners are very cooperative..they will help each other if any trouble arises 😂 I completed 700kms only..ride quality is smooth..software is buggy ..easy solution is to restart once in 4-5 days..and there is two button reboot… Issue I faced once was eSIM was in test mode and maps was not working..visited service center and troubled them and got it sorted out..what I love about Ather is google maps integration/less buggy and air cooling of motor
I bought my ather 450s last april and i completed about 10k km, at this time i have only problem with noise from belt due to mud, it was ready when i went for first service but at 7k km it came again due to rain, but performance has not changed, service Center was a good experience, I always drive in ride mode, when in ride mood it shows 75 km on dashboard but while driving I get 80 to 90 km.
Bought Ola S1 Pro Gen2 for an on-road price at about 1.6L Last December, Pretty Good Experience In Riding BUT BUT BUT here comes the major thing is the after sales service 🥸. In total of 21K km of riding in 8 months, it stayed in the service centre for like 1.5-2 months 😐. Roaming from one service centre to another just to get it fixed 😭. 1st time the boot didn't unlock but it shows in the screen that it is unlocked 🥲. 2nd time the display just didn't gets on forever 🙁 . 3rd time the riding belt broke 💀. Good in riding bht it has to improve it after sales service 😬
I think the Service centre issue of Ather is only in Noida. I am owning an Ather 450x Gen 2 for 2 years and my Service Centre experience was amazing. They had every spare required. I bought the frunk right on spot and it only took 20 min to install. So, I can easily say that Ather has an amazing Service Centre in my area. (Speaking in Trichy, TamilNadu). I met the Ather co-founder Swapnil Jain and I found out that the office environment is just amazing and cool. I think Ather worked amazingly for me. Highly recommend it.
Ather works even when you bring the scooter from shutdown and even the dashboard is not loaded still you can ride the vehicle ❤ key is a thing of great advantage i would say
I own a Ather 450X and have a weekly commute of approx. 330KM. I never once had a thought that should have tried OLA as I didn't even test ride the vehicle. Though after driving for about 12k kms the power feels less and would like to upgrade to UV or some other powerfull vehicle. Rest my experience has been good.

Yes true....
Ather has already formed a partnership with Hero for charging infrastructure.

Period.

As an Ex Ather Owner all your points are spot on Accurate .

I bought Iqube which is fantastic for my daily commute. It gets me upto 90km in eco mode. With big storage i am vey happy.

😂 bro it should not be in eco mode
So they asked to carry the charger with me wherever I go so I could charge it if need be.. pretty funny eh😂
They sent the battery to their factory in Hyderabad and several months later, in December I guess, I get a call from the factory saying my battery is fixed and have to pay Rs 20k for the battery or they have a battery exchange offer running in which I could pay Rs 20k and get the new battery.. funny again ehh😂.
Here I am now in August 2024 waiting for a favorable judgement from the Consumer Court after filing a case in Feb earlier this year.
bro i too own pure ev e trance and faced some same issues but 30k completed still working lets see what future holds😂

One major aspect of the Ather scooter that I found less appealing is the splash-back from the rear tire. On wet roads, the person sitting behind on the vehicle often gets splashed by water coming up from the back, which can be quite inconvenient.
the front splash too, it covers the lower of the headlight. although i didn't notice the back splash only the front

As TechWiser, you should know that the range you get in Ather does not depend on the mode but how you ride it. Mode just enables power and top speed and considers that you'll ride in the max possible power and shows you the range. Overall a nice experience for me too, but I am facing some problems with charging in the grid, after the new update it's not a simple plug and play, it's keeping showing not charging and having to plug and unplug multiple times to get it start charging, and also facing some issues while unplugging also, it keeps stuck for some time.

Ather has reliability but they are expensive, also they sell through third party dealers who force battery pro subscription and try to extract extra money during service.

Ather is hands down the best EV scooter in the country at least, if not the world. I would recommend people to pay the premium since it is a long term investment. I guarantee it will be worth it. However a few minor cons to note:
1) Parking is a little challenging in tight spaces.

Bhai bahut chota scooter lagta hai chetek.toy type😢
I don’t comment on SM, boy the effort you all have put in to create this video deserves a big big 👏🤙👍.
The details, the information, experience, energy, the over all thought process and commitment to the tech/ content is sheer amazing.
Thank you for another informative & much needed video.
All the best.
4:42 Ather should get 1 extra point for sustained performance over a long period.
This is why they launched RIZTA which i use now and feel great about it. Gives 120+ range in smarteco. Feels fun. Sounds awesome. Great practical scooter out there
This time "not" an adwiser . Keep it up 👍🏻
I've been riding an Ola S1 X+ for the last 8 months as my daily driver and have covered over 7,000 km so far.

Guys EVs aren’t there just yet. I am happy with my access 125 😂 I might get an EV after 2-3 more version updates
@@rooftopmunda Haha, nothing gives competition to Access 125 😂. Used it for many years before.
I bought an ather in may and i have already did 4k kms and had no issues with it( and i ride like a maniac)
4:00 satisfying wiiiiiiiiiiinnnnng 😅😅
Hello Prathik, it is good to see that our well trusted channel/community started on EV.
The animations and editing were great, we would love to see more on this topic.
This comment is dedicated for Ola owners
I think the video was sponsored by ather😂..bro didn't mention bootspace, ather belt problem, ola being less priced😂
@@augustyabhudev6595yes the sound is too much in ather , and boot space sucks I can easily carry charger and a helmet no problem
I own Ather for almost 2yrs now, didn't face any problem with it, only once the screen went blank while riding in 2yrs, i just restarted it and everything came back to normal 😉
6:20 Same happened with me Many Times on my Ola S1 Pro Gen 1 and many a times Screen Doesn't even turn on...
For the reasons you mentioned for Ola and Due to Size constraint of Ather, I chose Vida V1. Has Ather grid support, removable batteries and stable software and better build quality. Range is about the same as Ather, and it's fine for my 30ish KM daily commute.
I think I would prefer hybrid ev vehicle
The video editiing is amazing. Kudos to you guys. And thanks for the in detail review. Great job guys.
The day u realise cycle is the best thing to buy😊
Subscribing your channel because this is the most comprehensive and genuine review! You deserve recognition and hope Ola doesn't beef with you.
The comparison doesn't makes sense. Here we are comparing EVs
Some criticism about the graphics, when you use alphabets in the circles: you can make them different colored. All of them were green and it i didn't realise what they were untill i was about 80% through the video. Also they could last longer and have labels.
hired new editor? it just fire
Ather 450x bought in 2023 1.3l -20-40 gov sub when red colour was launched still running crisp and smooth. Used silicon spary in chain for smooth ride sounds. Even I haven't seen any bugs yet .nice app now
TechWiser ❤
He deleted my comment saying Advisor😂
Day 69 : @techwiser sir please gift me asus Zenfone 10 please please please please sir 🙏🥺🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
The peace of mind of knowing the range you are seeing is exactly what you'll get if not more, I often get more range than it shows because I use regenerative braking a lot
bro thoda dheere dheere camera movement karo 🥹. Hum shorts dekhne nahi aaye hein
Editing is Goat...i loved the intro ...
@@ndipavanking Thanks 🙌. Will let our editors know.
1:58 why shouting !!? PLz reupload
😂

Plz don't watch
i like how inspiration for production is from mrwhosetheboss. great work with the production quality

The video quality and the editing is on point!🔥
I own ather 450x gen 3 since aug 2022.
Best scooter up there, no additional service required till date.
Buy it or regret
Using the ather 450x for more than an year. Love the reliability, love the performance, love the brakes, love the handling. Just ticks all the boxes, no software bugs. Can recommend without any regret.
This was a really good comparison. Good job tech wiser after a long time
I use an ola s1 gen1, i have faced some irritating software bugs, the same ones you mentioned
But I have now made peace with it and i really appreciate the ride quality of an ev scooter
When i bought it ,i got it for 1.21lac whereas ather was straightup 1.46 lacs at that time
Loved the comparison!
Great comparison🎉
I had it fixed within 600 😊
You should consider more brands of electric scooter for better understanding 😊
1+ year of Ather 450X gen2, drove around 10k. I get around 105 kms on a full charge. Daily driver. Best at handling, city driving. Had some issues with throttling and regen but Ather service center resolved it. So far, very much satisfied.
I have both Ather 450x gen 1 and a suzuki vstrom bike.
Scooter is my brother's but I ride it regularly only.
My view is ev is good for commute upto 35-40kms to and fro which makes the total of 80km max. (Your typical Delhi to Noida or ggn). I get very anxious on anything more than that! 😂
And trust me on the "good" part. Ather is really good for short commutes. I just wish the mirrors were better and the maps and data connectivity suffers sometimes. But everything else in the riding experience is great!
So coming back to tackle the anxiety. I would just rely on anything more than 70-80kms
I even take my bike if I am going from Delhi to Greater Noida for Instance.
Aether is no brainer using it since 3 years bought aether 450x gen 3 and aether rizta just yesterday top model . The range the feel the built quality everything is just top notch
Have you tried River Indie? They have done a bang up job for an EV. The boot space, leg space, styling everything feels amazing.
I was really excited for that EV, it looks straight up from GTA. However, AFIK, the showrooms are available only 3 states - Hyderabad, Chennai, and Bangalore. And again, it's been only 6 months since they started delivering the scooter. Too less data to comment anything.
Having said that, in future we'll try to cover it in shorts or a grander video (TW style)!
- Pratik
@@techwiser Absolutely - River feels like something straight outta GTA, a real head turner wherever I take it. BTW was waiting for something like this from you folks and finally got it!!
I recently purchased s1 pro for 1.45 from Bengaluru…I choose it over ather450x because
1) I like the looks of Ola..especially the headlights
2) better range
3) feature rich( ather was charging another 20000rs for smart features)
4) charging point( yes both companies charging point and service station is within 5km from my location) Ola fast charging facility is free and I can charge upto 70% there and rest in my home…issue is sometimes there will be issue with charging ports /and it will be occupied as someone else will be charging..but I’ve seen Ola owners are very cooperative..they will help each other if any trouble arises 😂
I completed 700kms only..ride quality is smooth..software is buggy ..easy solution is to restart once in 4-5 days..and there is two button reboot…
Issue I faced once was eSIM was in test mode and maps was not working..visited service center and troubled them and got it sorted out..what I love about Ather is google maps integration/less buggy and air cooling of motor
Your English speaking is very nice.... So clear to understand....
Seeing the comments, it can be concluded ather might be selling less but whatever sales they have done, they have earned customer's trust...
