Perfect no bullshit video...I literally just bought this air filter for 50 bucks from cycle gear and was searching for a video of how to install it and saw you just posted this video a day ago talk about perfect timing! Also am installing a flasher relay, blinker genies and USB charger today, should be fun.
@@scottomotive 100% agree and also for me it smoothed some of the jerky throttle response in 1st and 2nd gear, need to get a custom tune now to see all the performance increases
Okay, so followed and it went okay, bit of a struggle with that screw holding filter inside the airbox. All done, now fuel tank won't line up to refit, needs to go back and down a bit but no amount of pissing about with it will get it to line up for the four bolts to hold it to the frame. Going to pull it to bits again, put the standard back and chuck it to the back of the garage.
Thank you! I acrually had an autobody shop do it! They said the Yamaha logo was actually behind the clear coat. They stripped it all before painting it. I've also added speed blocks since this video.
@@scottomotive Thanks for the reply! And drats! You confirmed my suspicions about the logo being behind tthe clear coat. Off to the autobody shop I go I reckon. :D
Great video! Thanks for sharing it. Do XSRs not have the little hose that attaches to the air filter cover piece on MT-07s? He mentions the piece I'm talking about at about 6:00 in this video: ruclips.net/video/Hxp2N3tkqTE/видео.html.
cool thank you short n sweet ,HO LEE CHIT BATMAN THAT WAS QUICKER THAN THE LONE RANGER CAN SAY,WTF DID YOU SEE THAT TONTO

I'm glad the video helped! I'll be making more soon on all of the modifications I've done and some more walk throughs as well.
good video. simple to understand. what a pain to change filter. so easy on my old 82 nighthawk
Thanks you sir!
Hi Rog!
Yoo my man. Just got some pod filters in the mail I’m stoked to get them on
Good job man, it was very helpful.
Thank you!
great job and awesome bike!!!!!
Thank you!
hey does it need a remap after changing to high flow filter?
Great video. I'm here in SE King County. How have those tires performed on the oftentimes damp roads?
Thank you! They do alright I wouldn't say any better or worse than the stock tires. I'm also a fair weather rider so I don't ride in the rain much.
Top man, have the same job to do tomorrow on mine.
Thanks for the watch!
So taking that tube out would be a “snorkel delete” ?
thanks for the guide. will be changing my air filter soon. Hows the shinko e705 on road? it is slippery on rain?
Absolutely! I love the Shinko's they handle great however I don't ride much in the rain so I don't have a good answer for that.
Nice stuff...more importantly, how does it perform?
Thanks! It runs great, you can hear its a little more throaty as you get on the throttle now.

Did you figure it out?
Hey Dude i see you have shinkos on them. Are they good for roads
They're great! No complaints
where did u get that seat from??
Are those Dunlop mutant tyres?
Hey Bro, which led light do you have on XSR 700? Thanks a lot ;)
Its a a 5 3/4 off Amazon that I retrofitted to the stock headlight housing.
Nice video man. Totally unrelated but how did you go about de-badging the logos from your tank covers?
Thank you! I acrually had an autobody shop do it! They said the Yamaha logo was actually behind the clear coat. They stripped it all before painting it. I've also added speed blocks since this video.

Hello, tu l'as acheté où ton rétro?
hello, where did you buy your saddle?
A local upholstery shop did it.
What tires are you running?
Shinko 705's!
Thanks for the video. A good tip for the next one: please don't chew gum it's horrible when watching with headphones
Thanks for the watch! Sorry about the chewing!
My goodness i have just brought a 2018 XSR,what a faff to just change an air filter.
