If you take Pius to the jail in Rattay, you can open the jail door and steal the die from him. This is how you get the die without killing Pius. The gang sign you needed to enter Vranik was the special die. You trained swordfighting with Vanyek in Skalitz before the attack of Sigismund.
Ohhh!! I could have visited him in jail. dang, I should have done that. Lol it only occurred to me as I was editing, that he was showing me dice and not some weird hand signals. I can be so thick 😂 I forgot who Vanyek was, thank you for the reminder! Woah it’s been a while since the beginning of the game, the names and faces have been lost to me
After the Merhojed mission during the cutscene at the start of the "All that Glisters" mission, right after Henry left, it was foreshadowed that Henry is Sir Radzig's son when he said, "Goodluck son," instead of lad or boy. But even before that, I already had my suspicions. When Henry first reported to Sir Radzig in Rattay, he mentioned that Martin, his father was a great man. He then added, "your mother, she was great too."
I didn’t even catch that, it’s such a small hint that could be interpreted as affection. His comment about Henry’s mother is also very subtle foreshadowing. That’s going to be so fun to replay this game and find the hints I didn’t see before
That was crazy! I can't believe that you managed to get all of you stuff back and make it out alive. From the cut scenes afterwords where you were wearing rags it didn't look like the devs expected you to either 😂 Well done my friend!
Got a little busy for a bit and couldn't watch but I'm glad I caught up as you did A Die is Cast. On a second playthrough, the foreshadowing for the twist is there but hidden well enough you'll never notice it on your first playthrough. Like when Teresa asks why Sir Robard came looking for you, Henry just says that he doesn't know why they would care. Even one of the very first lines in the opening cinematic of the game is a direct reference to it, but I'll bring that one up later when there's some more context
Yahoo! You caught up just in time :)) I can’t wait to do a second playthrough and start digging up all the little hints now that I know what’s coming. It’s so fun analysing something for a second time this way.
Always fun to see the big reveal! Love how things tie back into the beginning of Game at this point, Toth, The Sword, Zbyshek and the Sword Master. It really re-Invigorates and grounds the Story for the final act. I was a bit worried the KCD 2 trailer you watched would have given it away when it says "Bastard, Peasant, Orphan, Lover, Warrior". If you do another playthrough you'll wonder how you missed it as the game does signpost it a bit with hindsight. Even in the first cutscene with your Parents, Martin (Blacksmith Dad) mutters under his breath "Blue Blooded idler" when Henry is sleeping in. Really glad you gave Zbyshek his comeuppance, hate it when he gets rewarded after what he's done, to Theresa in particular. You drew it out and gave him hope before snuffing it out. Not seen that version of the cutscene before, I prefer the more direct fight and kill him outside of Vranik option.
Omg I totally forgot about the trailer saying “Bastard” IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW. I remember being a tad confused reading that but just brushed it aside. This was definitely the climax of the game, everything and everyone coming together to set up for some kind of finality. The story is so huge and we get pulled so many directions throughout, it’s beautiful writing to have it all come together here. I can’t wait to do another playthrough and pick out all the hidden details I didn’t notice the first time around. Zbyshek had it coming
I was speechless! What was momma blacksmith doingggg 😂 Made it through the storm with just a few broken pots and plants that need a little care. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Well now, to be slightly less cryptic: my first "wait" was from my amusement that you were minutes from finding out who daddy really was. My second, however, actually is in regards to whether or not you'll make "dad" proud. But you really are gonna have to wait for that. Like, until after the closing credits wait. You might wanna keep tissues handy. :)
I am already an emotional person, the intro to the game destroyed me out of nowhere. I was recently emotional about the episode coming out, and now I’m worried I’ll be a mess at the end of the game 🥺
Who would say that going to the recruiters without dice will cost you more groschen than rosaries from Ledetchko. 😄 But overall, fine job! Smooth traveling, Great escape with all your stuff, and last but not least - repaying Zbyshek with deserved reward... 👍
9:41 If you get far enough in the quest line, you find out where a key to the outer door is just sitting so on replay, you could use it to just step outside on the first night and get as many lock picks and supplies as you want lol
Seems to me that a bandit is more likely to have nice armor than anyone except maybe a nobleman. You know, because of all the murdering and looting. But I'm sure that Henry wouldn't know anything about that though 🤣 I'm glad to hear that you weathered the storm and that you're starting to sound much better.
All the bandits are so well armoured! I was worried I wouldn’t fit in, but I was just 1 of many 😂 That storm was much more intense than we initially thought it would be. So we were rushing to secure our home a bit more when it suddenly picked up.
@@heyamarii Pretty scary. We just got hit by the tail end of hurricane Milton. One of our trees dropped a huge branch and took out the whole neighborhood's power. We had a hailstorm and thousands of close lightning strikes. Not fun.
First time I played KCD I prob had 70 hours in the game when they revealed Istvan as the Villain. It was great and all, I just had no idea who he was 😂 it had been so long, and he was only featured in 10 sec in the beginning before that 😅
The twists in this story are so much fun! My throat is finally clearing up and I’m almost back to normal. The rainy season here goes until about November/December. Then it turns to the BEST climate of the year - sunny days and cool breezes
I really like the story about Vranik. Again very nicely played. I let the bad guy go. Today I think it was a mistake. You made the right decision, thanks.
Vranik was fun! I really liked infiltrating the camp as a spy, getting caught was scary though. Zbyshek deserved it! I hate not keeping to my word, but I did swear I would get him back for bring the bandits down on me at the beginning of the game
3:29 I love how the bandit thinks he's intimidating, wearing his PJs and holding a toothpick to Henry's cuirass lol. The 3 of them could be whaling on Henry for quite a while without anything happening apart form them losing their breath. xD I just love the disparity between how dangerous they think they are and how much of a non-issue dispatching of them would be for Henry in that gear. I'm pretty sure WH said there are even more POIs per area in the new game. It's 2 separate maps too, so that probably cuts out a lot of tedium going between the rural and more metropolitan areas. Worrying about the game spreading itself too thin is definitely valid though, let's hope for he best and trust in WHs track record so far. But we'll see in a few months. I kinda wish you tried showing them the die. That "gang sign" was actually the special die and you could've shown it, otherwise that dialogue option shouldn't be there I'm pretty sure. You can also take one from Pious in the cells though as others have mentioned. Yay, here we go, the cat is out of the bag. Semi-blue blooded bastard Henry Kobyla knows who he really is! Zbyshek really doesn't get more likeable even if he tries to help does he? Such a douche lol. I always keep my word even though I hate his guts though. I want my Henry to stay a man of his word and for his word to be reliable, even in the "bad guy" playthroughs. I value brutal honesty a lot more than most people do though, so it might be that. That sneak mission to escape Vranik completely broke me my first time. I had to reload like 10 times lol. If you're bad at stealth, then I'm hopeless haha. Well done on finding the lock picks and getting your stuff back. You did a lot better than I did. I got busted while trying to get my stuff back when Erik returned to his room I took so long haha. You used the crouching chameleon perk like a pro! Turns guards into straight up T-Rex from Jurassic Park lmao
Henry decked out in full plate with those bandits was so funny! As if they would be a threat XD Escaping Vranik was so anxiety inducing for me. I spend a lot of time waiting for that last patrol to walk by because I was so unsure. I cut out about 15 mins of me sneaking around to nowhere while I was in the inner wall, and then a bit of waiting on that last stretch of the outer wall. I can't believe I made it! I love the crouching perk, I feel like how my dogs must think theyre sneaky if they stop moving then I cant see them haha Zbyshek has no redeeming qualities at all! He only helped me escape because he was getting bullied by the other bandits, not because he realised the error of his ways. What a tool. It was a struggle to go against my word, but I did say to myself I would get Zbyshek back for setting those bandits on me at the start of the game.
@@heyamarii 15 minutes.. I must've stumbled around for HOURS lmao :D I'm pretty sure you can See Zbyshek's corpse hanging, but I forgot where the gallows were. If it's the one I remember, Zbyshek hangs between Fritz and Matt.
Omg so I’m not hopeless with sneaking around! Yay! I just have to throw you in somewhere near me and they will find you instead 😂😂😂 I’m going to go find Zbyshek 🤓

Imagine if the real Henry's father was Kunesh and not Radzig, that would be a twist that no one was expecting.
Hahahaha I nearly spat out my coffee. If it was Kunesh ommgggg
💯💯 👍👍👍🤣🤣🤣

Got a little busy for a bit and couldn't watch but I'm glad I caught up as you did A Die is Cast.
