First time I had control of my full team during that phase I had Asta in the party with ult charged. Music cut out as soon as I started the animation. "Profound secrets of the stars, give these Trailblazers your blessing!" And then the music cut back in. So friking awesome!

Never played HI3 but I have followed the story pretty well, so the Cocolia fight was like the first try Mihoyo boss that SCREAMS Honkai,🤣. Closest of this excitement would be experiencing the Scaramouche boss battle in Genshin for the first time.
Cocolia Rand is expy of Houkai Gakuen's Cocolia, Honkai Impact 3rd Cocolia, and Genshin Impact's Signora. This character was always meant to have a tragic end or be evil / brainwashed.
You know one thing that makes me like star rail more that genshin is how the trailblazer gets their elemental power. The traveler walks up to a statue touches it and then gets an new element plain boring and simple, the trailblazer gets an awesome cutscene and is also pit into a battle immediately to use their powers and its also a little of a big moment as they are drawing the gaze of what is essential a god.

That makes sense though. In Genshin you're literally playing as a God who was stripped of their powers, so things don't have the same kind of impact as you're reclaiming what you lost. In Star rail though you're a normal person with power thrust upon them, so it feels a hell of a lot more important when you reach new heights of power!

Teyvat isn't real and could've been anything, Traveler isn't real and likewise could've been anything, yet they deliberately decided to make your mc acquiring new elements as bland, mundane and uneventful as possible. I mean, come on, you get amazing cutscene, music and boss fight as well as exquisite flavour (mc embraces the power Cocolia threw away for the sake of preserving Belobog and it's people, you can even control the giant robot that was previously your enemy now) in star rail and Genshin by comparison doesn't even acknowledge you getting new elements and is just like "whatever, go touch the statue since you're here anyway". Then there's also the fact that we still can't switch elements on the fly for some reason. Hoyo clearly knows that's an issue (they implemented this QOL in Star Rail), yet deliberately leaves it in the game.
I was using japanese voices, I didn't use the speed 2x, I switched into walking mode on the Awakening of Trailblazer like an MC should, and I maxed my volume on my headphone to 100% when the ost began (A Trap of No Return followed with WILDFIRE). THE ULTIMATE EXPERIENCE.

It's somehow highly reminds me a mix of the final battle in A Post Honkai Odyssey 2 and story arc where Herrsher of Frost(?) awakens: strange crystals, abandoned city but still functional and frost that "consumed" city
Do you know if you bring Serval and have her deal the finishing blow, you will get achievement "Serval's Parting Gift". It's kinda give an additional touch to the story since Serval was best friends with Cocolia. Anyway, it was a good bit to add from Hoyo.

i use : bailu for healer march 7th for shield hook for attack and stelle (main character) for attack and extra def stats and none of my character died in this boss fight.... and all my character is just lv 33...

In my battle against Cocolia i used as team Male main character i named Rath, Hook, Quinque and Natasha At level 40...i suffered less damage than i tought...id even lost nobody
XD I'm really sorry but hear me out I've been playing, grinding, and learning some of the characters in Honkai star rail in English dub that when I hear jp dub it sounded so weird EN dub really did good voicing them. Everyones complaining in the chat that the guy doesnt have a healer but I have a serious problem about getting attached to my members too much. For example, if i get a pkmn in the start of the game which is completely useless and just hinders me in the late game: i still wont get rid of it bc its been there since the start how can i remove it :( So in this fight i ended up with the mc, den heng, gepard and serval xD (i had to let go of March 7th, that hurt)
I didn't use a healer either, i'm surprised people did, just used serval, march, himeko and the MC, i thought the fight was set up so you could do it with whatever comp you felt like...
I use trailblazer (Physical Kaslana or Destruction Path for beating soldiers, needed in story mode to unlock Pyro Schariac or Preservation Path), Bailu (healer), Hook/Himeko (Pyro backup, but I didn't use it), Serval (Electro backup), Astra (Speed Support Backup)... I did pick this for one reasons, fire and lightning/electro weakness, if you have Seele, change it to your other backups except healers...
Frankly speaking, I'm against Seele's method of thinking, and I'll tell you why: "If people spend their lives accepting lies, they won't be able to face the truths that appear, however devastating they may be, accepting those truths and overcoming the consequences that come from them is one of the most definitive proofs that we can be better than what destroys us, regardless of what or who!"
I fell very disappointed in the battle. Why your party don't have any healer. And why you use Asta's ultimate when your turn is done. Why don't use it earlier?

In story mode your game will be slow than normal (suitable with cut scene)
you’ll feel like that whenever you shut off 2x or start listening to dialogue
